Decided to give this place a try after reading the good reviews. The food was disappointing, I mean how can u go wrong with chicken wings? All you have to do is fry them. Then the crawfish, shrimps and clams, they were pretty tasteless. At least service was good and the restaurant is clean and welcoming.

So i went on a sunday because i wanted the dollar oyster shooters. I thought the sauce would be a lil different, but its more of a fish sauce pepper flavor. It tastes good with some tabasco, lime, and the fish sauce pepper mixed. I ordered a pound of shrimp mixed flavors… Forgot what it was called, but that was really good. I liked it better than rockin’ crawfish. For a sunday night there was barely anyone there, but its ok because the place is kind of small.

You might think of this place to be a hole in the wall because of its location, but it really isn’t. Went here for the first time with my children and sister and they loved it. Great place for great food and a huge TV to watch sports game. The service was wonderfully friendly. And their oysters weren’t just out of this world, but the presentation was very nice and clean. I believe this is a family owned joint and I love supporting family restaurants. Check it out, especially on game night. You will NOT be disappointed.

The oysters are really good come with a good tangy fish sauce mixture to pour on them. We also got a pound of shrimp Cajun butter and garlic in a bag with a season bath. They have beer as well I got a Lagunitas. Great service very nice people they kept checking in with us to make sure we had whatever we needed. If you check in on Unilocal before you go free pound of crawl fish yumm! 1 $ oysters on Sunday!!! I shall return with my parents!!!

I placed an order for pick up. The man and woman working were friendly. When I got home I realized they made a mistake on my order. After explaining to them over the phone they told me to come in to pick up the correct order(I didn’t have to return the other order). They were very apologetic and gave us two drinks for free. The food was decent, definitely not as good as Rockin Crawfish or Boiling Crab. But as a substitute it isn’t bad. And the workers are friendly and clearly seem to care to make sure the customers are satisfied.

Due to my sister’s visit and her request to have crawfish before she left, we went to Rocking Crawfish where we usually go. The wait there was crazy as usual. We cannot make it this time because my sister needed to get a flight back. We looked up on Unilocal and found Crazy Crawfish. We drove there and was hesitating to get inside since it was empty at 8 pm. We decided to give a try. Here is my rating: Seafood: 3.5 They have potential to be a good place for seafood lovers, but they need to make the better sauce. The spice they put in the sauce is too strong and makes the whole thing feel bitter. The Seafood is quite fresh but I feel like the quality is not as good as Rocking fish or Craw Daddy in San Jose. Sweet potato fried: 4.5 Garlic Noodle: 4 Good taste but too soft for us Drink: 1.5 No free refill soda(I am not a big fan of soda, but it’s good to have it when having seafood) Service: 5 They are so nice and friendly. They did not hesitate when asking for substitution in a combo set. Not sure when I will be back.

Really friendly service and great food. There was a big gathering that took up most of the restaurant. Other than our table, I don’t think there were any other customers, which surprised me. I think this section of International Blvd doesn’t really draw too many people, which is a shame, but kind of good for someone like me who doesn’t enjoy waiting around to eat on a Saturday night. I guess my only constructive criticism is that the Garlic Noodles could use a little more pizzazz. I’ve only had it at two other restaurants, Monkey Thai and Hang Ten Broiler, and it just doesn’t quite match up.

Crazy good! I have to admit it’s nice to come to a quiet place instead of a busy joint. The place is barely a year old, so these kind restaurant owners could use your business generously. I’m not trying to lure you in, all I’m implying is that the food is great and the service is welcoming. They have a big screen TV and they have a Lil aquarium for the kids to see a few fish and an eel. Please make an effort to drop in, I’m surprised they’re not as busy as they should be. Cam On!

Seafood quality: Shrimp: Curled and looked freshh: D Crawfish: the shell was hard and not soggy. Meat was okay. Decent good enough to eat. Clams: FATFATTTTTMEAT. shell was really big and heavy. so you probably won’t get many pieces of clams with 1 pound. The corn was like white corn. Super sweet and delicious. The Sausages were good. a bit spicy. Sauce: It was Okay. Watery based. I like my seafood boil sauce Chunky and Garlicky Service: it was really dead when i went there around 5ish. Me and my friend were the only ones there. so of course the Service has to be top notch lol

I just had dinner at Crazy Crawfish in Oakland. I haven’t had crawfish in awhile, my friend likes this place so I thought I would try it out with her. Small hole in the wall type place, super casual. Wooden tables with white butcher type paper to keep the tables clean. A small place, parking shouldn’t be too much of an issue. Waitress was super friendly, and the service was great! Menu is super simple, there are some appetizer options here. I had the chicken wings(8) which were pretty good. The wings are fried and they go great with ranch sauce. My friend had the cajun fries which were yummy. Okay so Crawfish, Shrimp, Crab Legs, and maybe something else are the entrees. The entrees are priced per pound. The prices for the entrees all say market rates on them which kinda freaked me out a bit. Can’t you ballpark this? We split a dozen oysters. The raw ones are legit. Oysters were tasty, cold. Plenty of lemon wedges provided. Crawfish comes out in a plastic bag. I am not sure why it comes out that way. I would understand if it was like a rub like shake and bake? but everything is soaked in that butter/garlic concoction everything is pretty saturated with it already. I got excited seeing garlic butter as an option. Crawfish/Lobster with butter is just one of those fantastic combos. They actually cook whole cloves of garlic in butter and that seems to be the sauce. I would prefer melted actual butter that tastes really yummy with a garlic taste to it. Whenever you cook garlic till it gets all mushy and sad the taste just isn’t there anymore. Just have like real salty butter that I can dip stuff into. This isn’t rocket science. Place seemed a bit empty but started to pick up around 7pm on a Saturday. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend people coming to Crazy Crawfish, but there’s not many places like this in the east bay. If you’re a fan this type of cuisine, then I am sure you will think this is an A-OK place. 3 seafood stars for Crazy Crawfish on International Blvd.

After a long day in Santa Cruz, we were starving and wanted good seafood! We stopped by Crazy Crawfish for their crazy combo! I love combo #1 since the price is reasonable and you get a lot of food! Their sauce is thick and flavorful. The service is great! Everyone was very kind and helpful. I would definitely come back!!!

My friend and I came here for dinner after being turned away from Rockin’ Crawfish because of a 2 hour wait(seriously…not waiting 2 hours for anything). I’m glad we found this little gem because this place did not disappoint! (+) COMBO. My friend and I got the Combo #1 with 2 lbs of shrimp and 1lbs of clams. I don’t exactly remember what sauce we got but we asked the server(who’s probably the owner) what was good and she recommended her favorite one! The food came out in a big bowl and at first, I was a bit disappointed at how small the bag was. It looked pretty small, but HOLY, as we started to eat, the bag was NEVERENDING. We were extremely full by the time we finished everything. I love that the shrimp was JUMBO. The bag probably looked empty since the shrimp were really big and there weren’t as many in the bag, but since they were jumbo shrimp, it was extremely flavorful and filling. The clams were just as delicious. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to this place in the future. The owner was extremely accommodating. We didn’t want to get the sausages in the combo and wanted to sub that for fries instead and pay the difference in price. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my meal. If you want to skip that long line at Rockin’ Crawfish down the street, come here instead for a better experience !

I give big ups to this place because we came here and had NOIDEA who was in the party because it was a surprise birthday for my good friend but his sister invited everyone, and not everybody RSVP’ed, people have boyfriends and husbands and wives and children, etc, so you know how that goes. Also, i was rolling in with filipino people so they were all hella late. haha, and despite the fact that we went from 5 people to 17 person party, they accomodated us and split the checks for us. Food: Cajun fries: good. You can’t really go wrong with fries, can you? cut… and fry. Garlic noodles: TOOGARLICKY. I love garlic, but this included a LOT of raw garlic, and it caused me to get heart burn before the rest of the food even arrived. I was quite sad. Crawfish: I liked it and it was sweet. This was the first time eating this so I… don’t have anything to compare it too. Crawfish kind of tastes like the guts and middle of any crab where the shell is. that’s the best part– the guts(i know, im gross) but it’s like eating that part of the crab every time, except you have to work a million times harder. Combo 2 which includes: 1 dungeness crab 1lb shrimp OR crawfish(we got shrimp) 1lb clams 6 sausage 2 potato 4 corn We got the mix and did medium spicy, which was I think spicier than most«medium» spicy levels. It wasn’t really spicy to me, I just note that I was expecting it to be less spicy than it was. Sauce is pretty runny, but honestly, I like it like that… and they had a LOT of sauce in the bag so it was nice to peel your shrimp and then dip it in the sauce again. All in all I think it was a pretty good deal considering all the food that we got, but there was something missing in the flavor of the sauce, and the garlic noodles really were just not… up to par. If they took out 50% of the garlic they had in there it would still be really garlicky but it would have tasted a lot better. I mean, it was bad enough that we didn’t even eat some of it and sent it back. I personally like other cajun boil places better but this place is the cheapest. Also– this place doesn’t have their liquor license yet, so… I didn’t get to get my drunk grub on like I usually do at these joints.

I’m always for checking out new businesses and supporting locals, so when Rockin’ Crawfish was busy, we decided to stop by at this new establishment. Restaurant is very clean, and they have plenty of parking in the area. We got the Combo #1 that came with 2 lbs of crawfish or shrimp, clams, sausages, corn, and potatoes(which we subbed for fries). We also tried the garlic noodles, and they were delicious! Sauce for the shellfish was just okay; Not thick enough and too runny ;/ They have a 10% Unilocal coupon for checking in!

Literally just left and had to Unilocal! Location: Off international, not hard to find and it’s street parking! Customer Service: Everybody is very friendly and checks up on you, five stars for the service!!! Décor: Simple, don’t expect crazy writing on the walls etc like most Cajun places! Presentation of Food: Comes in this plastic like bucket. How did the food taste?: Seriously, you get your moneys worth! We got the deal with 2lbs shrimp, clams, potatoes, corn, and sausage deal and it was hella food!!! Plus the shrimp was hella big!!! The house sauce is mosdef good! It had this kick to it and it’s different. Different in a good way though! Overall Experience: It was a good dinner, we left feeling full but not overly stuffed considering the amount of food we got! I feel like this place has so much potential and I wish nothing but the best to the business owners! Would I Come Back?: Yes!

This place is simply the best! The crawfish and shrimp is fresh! The oysters are served on ice, awesome place with great service. I typically go to boiling crab and kicking crawfish, this is very comparable. I do not suggest going to rocking crawfish.

Honestly, I’m happy that there’s another broiler in town. It’s closer to where I live and it’s more convenient to get there. The place has only been open for about 4 weeks now, and as a starting business it’s okay. But if you’re really craving Cajun style food, I’d skip here. The upside of this place is that there’s no line and you get your food fairly quickly. And also their combo deals are worth for what you pay. That’s the only reason why I’m giving in two stars. The downsideS? My boyfriend and I ordered Cajun fries, fried calamari, and the combo #1 along with an extra pound of shrimp and crawfish(we were ordering for 5 people). The Cajun fries and fried calamari were nothing spectacular. The calamari seasoning was really bland. The sauce we chose was their house special(garlic butter) and it was extremely runny. The shrimp was by far the only thing I enjoyed. The crawfish was absolutely terrible. It was all mushy and you can tell off the bat that it was not fresh at all. The clams were a joke. There was more shell than the actual meat in it and they were small. The corn was also undercooked, it was still hard when I bit into it and I have braces, which make it worse. All in all, as a new, local business it’s worth a try. But I’d rather save the money and go to Rockin Crawfish that’s not to far or drive 40 minutes to San Jose for Kickin’ crab.

I was slaving all day in the yard and built up a big appetite. So I Jumped into my Whip White Rabbit and rolled to Oaktown. I rolled up to Crazy Crawfish. I stashed my Whip half a block down. Street Parking only. I street hiked to Crazy Crawfish and was Greeted and Seated and presented 2 Menus. Crazy Crawfish is a very Clean and Brightly lit space. Two Large Lcd Tvs playing a James Bond Movie. Servers are very Attractive Friendly and Helpful . I ordered Calamari and the 4 Fish, 5 Shrimp Combo and Cajun Fries. I also ordered a Coke . From the Owner to the Employees everybody is so nice its refreshing. My food came out and it was cooked to Perfection. Packed full of Flavor I enjoyed my Meal especially with the Sirachi Mayo Dipping Sauce. They Even Take Discover Card LOL. Rocking Crawfish Watch Out Theres a New Kid in Town and There Called Crazy Crawfish and They have way better service . They have 9 Tables to choose from.

Crazy Crawfish is in Yummy Duck’s space but the hanging sign hasn’t changed yet. menu is small, just a few apps(fried calamari, raw oysters, garlic noodles, etc) and the boiled crawfish, clams, shrimps, lobster?) shellfish priced at market price(not posted) flatscreen not operating eats: 1#shrimp(10.99) –26 pieces, mostly fresh tasting, bland shrimp in garlic and butter broth. –all in big plastic big. –lots of food, guessing shrimp boiled then sauce added. 4 stars for value, 3 stars for taste crumbs: –lst month discount(2.2) posted on bill not sure how it’s calculated. –very messy eating, bib and gloves provided. –parking may be hard to find.
