Views are nice and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. I didn’t get her name but she has long auburn hair. Food served timely and there was plenty. Cool atmosphere; I’d definitely come back.

Clam chowder Fish and chips/slaw Club sandwich with salad/potato salad Kids spaghetti and meatballs. Lovely lunch after a morning pumpkin hunt nearby. Very much a casual seafood restaurant. Wood throughout. View of the water. Just really nice. Lots of large groups dining, so we were lucky we got our order in first. I love a good bowl of clam chowder and fish and chips. Hubby liked his club sandwich, but really enjoyed his potato salad and my slaw.

Good chowder, decent mozzarella sticks, and kinda sandy steamed clams/mussels. But honestly you wanna go this place for the ambiance. Get a seat on the outside deck, much on some stuff, watch the ships come in and out and have yourself a good time. Oh, and you should drink some beer while you do it. Quinn’s kind of reminds me of my hometown of San Mateo. It’s one of those joints that’s just been around forever and has a loyal following of people who have probably celebrated all manner of life events here. It’s cool.

I love this place — good food, chill vibe, great for sitting on the balcony on those sunny days, and friendly people working there. Definitely one of my local favorites.

What a great place to relax and eat in a fantastic setting! Everything was to my liking — generous drinks, peanuts to eat and throw on the floor, delicious shrimp appetizer, and excellent white fish entrée. Service at the bar was attentive and friendly. Prices very reasonable. If I come to Oakland again I’ll be back!

The food is consistently good and the staff are attentive and polite. It’d be a four star place if not for the fantastic location on the water(which is way too rare for Alameda and Oakland!) and the outdoor seating with peanut baskets as free appetizers. Love this place.

Great place to have dinner. Service is fast. I never go out, but I had an old friend from Europe over. This was his favorite place in Oakland.

GROSS, gross and more gross. I was really hoping this place would at least be ok but left extremely disappointed. Since I’ve never been there before it didn’t occur to me that I had to go up to the bar level since I was dining alone… In fact I found it quite odd and rude that they would not allow me to be seated in the dining room due that fact. Once I found my way up to the bar seating, I waited about 20 minutes before anyone greeted me or even offered a menu… Being that it is bar seating I do generally anticipate a delay on service which isn’t a huge deal. What really got me was that two gentlemen sat down after me(table next to me) were greeted and given menus within minutes, while the waitress passed by me like I wasn’t there. I even tried to get her attention. After I finally ordered it took another 25 – 30 minutes for my burger and fries to come. It was cold and soggy. I ordered avocado on my burger, which was rotting and stringy placed directly on my burger… So gross. I would have sent it back but the waitress never came back until she was dropping the receipt. I just removed it and ate around its touch points. So over this time, I received no water refill or check-in’s. I’d say the overall I spent an 1.5 hours there and spent 20 minutes with actual food in front of me. By the time I got the check, I was just ready to go and chose to just pay instead of trying to get my money back. My burger after tip cost $ 24… Such BS. Never again. Never. One upside, the fries were at least good.

Quinn’s Lighthouse is located off Embarcadero next to the water. This place has an old rustic boat feel but the balcony is a great place to eat on a warm day. The food is mediocre however the staffs are very friendly. I recommend this place if you’re looking to grab a few drinks outside on the patio with a view of the water and downtown Oakland.

I give it 3.5 star. Been here several times. I usually get the half bucket of steam mussels. Not too salty and bread tastes great with it. Happy Hour M-F from 3−6pm and view is fantastic. I usually sit outside in the patio. Calamari batter is light and free peanuts and house bread!

I was here to meet a friend and have some drinks as well as appetizers. This is an old restaurant full of history. The view of the marina is pretty spectacular when you’re dining on the second floor. You can never get enough of the ocean view. However, because this is an old restaurant, everything’s casual. I heard that they do music towards the weekend. I will try and check it out next time.

Great ambiance, great seafood, and yes, like the reviews say you can throw your peanut shells on the floor. I find myself a bit torn whether I love that the place is old, dank, and dirty. On one hand, it’s awesome that places like this don’t change, still exist, still thrive, and don’t need to adapt to fads and changing tastes, people come to them. On the other hand, when you’re walking down stained carpeted stairs that were due for cleaning a decade ago, why not just make them all wood in the first place so you wouldn’t have to see something that makes one wonder if the kitchen isn’t a disaster? Local customers know the place and everyone was comfortable being there, would go again. I’m sure the view is fantastic, but it was dark and we didn’t have a window table so we just paid attention to each other.

We have come here on several occasions and find the food consistent. It’s a good old dockside establishment with the view of the bay. *Blackened Prawns($ 21.99) is a Cajun spicy dish with prawns grilled to a crispness. The portion is quite big and served with a rice pilaf. *French Dip($ 12.99) is s huge portion of tender slices of beef on a French butter roll. Au jus is always piping hot and tasty. They put enough beef for two sandwiches. *Specially Turkey Dinner($ 22.99) is served on Christmas Day. To my delightful surprise, it’s a mix dark and white meat with gravy. I love dark meat because it’s more tender and flavored. Stuffing is not too heavy but tasty. They put bits of corn and broccoli in it. Fresh green beans are crispy. Complete with cranberry jelly which is always a favorite. Their cocktails are okay. The Moscow Mule($ 9) is always very stiff and I have to ask for more ginger beer. Mary’s Pinot noir($ 9) is chosen over the not-so-pink Cosmo that I had last time. The place is always quite busy on weekends and holidays so I recommend a reservation. Service can be spotty as I observed across the dining room but our server was attentive enough. Not a bad place to bring family and friends visiting in town. Pretty nice atmosphere. Menu is quite extensive – they even have a Korean BBQ beef sandwich on top of all the usual American seafood favorites. There’s a pub upstairs and you can order from the same menu.

Apparently an Oakland institution, had been meaning to check it out for years. Luckily it was a nice sunny October day when I went, sat outside overlooking the docks. Great view! Love that I can throw peanut shells on the floor(nothing more fun than that!) I was craving breaded shrimp and fries, so they were able to make that for me. Generous portions and came with a side of coleslaw. I was still a bit full from the mussels appetizer(also good!) so was unable to finish. Overall, a great place for a great ambiance and some comfort American seafood. Would return!

I know it’s a seafood restaurant but I went for the fried chicken breast with a side salad. Everything was amazing. The chicken had just enough crunch and the fries were great even though I got it to go. The salad was crisp and came with strawberries. It was a little confusing going to get take out here. I was staying on a boat on the docks right next to the place and decided to call in. When I went to pick it up I stood at the door where no one greater me for a while. Once they did I told them I was just trying to pick up food. They were confused. Take out? Who would want take out here? They asked someone else who pointed me to the upstairs bar. I picked it up from the bar tender who also seemed slightly confused at my request. Once I got my food and left I enjoyed in on the boat. The food was great. The service was. Confusing. Not sure how it would be to sit down or if everyone would be equally as confused.

Fast & Furious Update! Clam Chowder Still Da Bomb! SITREP This will be quick since my original review says it all about the restaurant. However, my update is specific to the Clam Chowder which is outstanding. CLAMCHOWDERWORSHIP I love Quinn’s Clam Chowder. It is rich, hearty and satisfies that urgent craving I have for Clam Chowder from time to time for only $ 9.95. [Pic with Sourdough Bread!] If I am ANYWHERENEAR Oakland’s Embarcadero, I do my best to find time to pop in here. And as you notice from this pic, when we are talking about a «Bowl» of Clam Chowder, we mean a DEEEEEEEP bowl of their most excellent Clam Chowder!(There is NO scrimping on this iconic standard here at Quinn’s! LOBSTERCHOWDER I will say though that it is a true toss-up as to whether I get the Clam Chowder or the Lobster Chowder! The Lobster Chowder is AMAZING: MERMAIDS Yes. They are here… SHOUTOUTS And besides the hearty supply of Sourdough Bread, I have to give major kudos to the unlimited supplies of Peanuts that Quinn’s also throws my way. Thank you! [These are just for me, SRSLY!] ;) THELOWDOWN This is your stop for Clam(and Lobster!) Chowder, hands down!

We were staying in the marina so the location was great. The décor is fun, we chose to sit upstairs on the patio and enjoy the sunset. It was a Tuesday so a pitcher of blue moon was $ 9.50. The view is great. The fried ravioli was pretty good. I got a bowl of clam chowder which was very good. I also got wings which were good. My boyfriends Cuban was not as great but ok. Service was easy going and busy attentive. 3.5 is solid.

This place is much bigger than you’d expect. It has two doors and an outdoor patio that overlooks the embarcadero in Oakland. I was with locals when I drove so we didn’t miss it but a lot of our friends that were coming to meet us did. We all sat on the second floor with peanut shells on the floor. The food is pretty good and the portions are big enough to split. At least my sandwich was definitely big enough to split. Drinks looked good but I didn’t partake in any. This is a traditional pub so the food is typical of what you’d find at a pub with a huge food and drink menu. They also have plenty of TV’s so if you want to watch a baseball game you’ll have a place to watch it. I can’t really say anything bad about Quinn’s.

A quirky pub full of quirky nautical artifacts on two levels, with a great selection of bottled and draught beers. Downstairs is more restaurant-like, whereas upstairs has the feel of a bar. Free bowls of unshelled peanuts means the floor is covered in shells(a first for me). My veggie pasta was very good(tasty without being too heavy) and service swift and efficient.
