4 out of the past 5 times I’ve ordered delivery from them they have taken twice as long(1.5hrs or longer) to get my delivery. This last time they didnt even show up or call me. Pretty good pizza but i suggest going to pick it up(its worth the trip), because their delivery service needs definite improvement. I will say that the staff is always polite and courteous and the food is pretty good.

Is it possible to rate a place with a negative star? Because that should be a thing. This place is filthy, $ 10 for two slices of(terrible) pizza, and overall was just an extremely disappointing experience. Honestly I would’ve been better off getting pizza from Little Caesars.

This pizza is described as «East Coast pizza for East Bay folks»(I’m paraphrasing obviously, but words to that effect) and it seems accurate. I actually really enjoy pizza joints that are semi-divey and unpretentious, and on that note Lanesplitter delivers. The pizza itself is pretty good, although I imagine it might be better when super fresh out of the oven(we picked up a large to-go and we heated it up later at home). The husband’s favorite way to eat it is to order a large cheese and then Iron Chef that shit at home with toppings of his own selection(aka whatever we happened to pick up from Trader Joes or Whole Foods earlier in the week). #pizzahacks

I called them in a panic in the middle of a party when the caterer didn’t show up. These guys really saved me. They helped me order just the right amount, a variety of pies and had everything ready in under 30 minutes. Thanks for saving the day.

This pizza chain raised their minimum wage to 15 $. Why do you think they are raising prices? You liberals are really fucking stupid. That’s price you pay if you want to raise the minimum wage. Stop complaining about the price, it’s what you wanted.

I haven’t ordered from here in about 1 year. So yesterday I ordered 3 large pizzas for a birthday party of 7 people. 1st issue, the order was not correct. Asked for no onions, seems like extra onions were added. Delivery time was on time, but for $ 120 I would expect a better quality pizza. It was only acceptable, no one was impressed with the pizzas. When I told them the price, they all made a face and asked who I ordered from. I told them and could see friends making mental notes to not order from Lanesplitter in the future. Sorry guys, but your pizza needs to take a step up and your prices need to take a step back. Oh, and getting the order correct would be nice too. Good luck.

Ok. I usually order from Lane Splitter because they have gluten free pizza. They don’t have the best gluten free pizza-but they’re open late so I use them. I’m used to GF pizza being a little crunchier but they seriously just delivered me a burnt a** pizza. Like… seriously. I can’t believe they even have the nerve to bring it. Now they’ve delivered the wrong pizza before and forgotten things but I let it slide cuz they’ll fix it but I tried calling and was on hold too long so F it. But like… seriously? Half of my pizza is burnt. Like hard to even crunch down, tastes like burnt toast pizza. Wtf. One star for having GF pizza. One star for delivering when they said they would.

Sigh, so the missus and I decided to have a no-cook Friday last week and pizza sounded awesome. Lanesplitter’s is the closet to us, and we had an unfortunate experience on our last visit, but chalked it up to it being a busy, Saturday night. Sadly, this last visit was worse than the previous. We got a large Hawaiian to pick up and didn’t think to look until we got home. This pizza had at most a half dozen tiny pieces of pineapple and quite literally a dozen thin slices of ham on it. Even the cheese was skimpy. No salad, no drinks, over $ 30. I posted some pictures of our giant, flat dough-thing.I know they’re paying better wages and the cost of food is rising, but this was just plain sad. We went to Zachary’s last night and got a massive deep dish with a full salad for around the same price… and we still have big leftovers. I really used to like this place since I dig big, cheesy, NY-esqe slices, but we won’t be returning after this last disappointment.

I’m from New York, so therefore I am a pizza snob. I’ve never had good pizza since I moved to SF, so you can imagine how skeptical I am with any advertised«real NY» pizza. Well Lanesplitter is pretty legit. The crust is not only thin, but the right kind of thin. Just needs more sauce and more greasy cheese and then it’ll be perfect.

The pizza is pretty good but $ 29 for a large pie and $ 10 for a plate salad? They have increased the prices to the point where I’m going to look elsewhere next time.

this spot used to be my jam! would love going here for a late night slice a few years ago. since then they’ve jacked up the price so much I don’t even feel it’s worth it any more. for instance, that plate salad used to be $ 6 – 7 a few years ago — which seemed pretty reasonable given what went into it. now it’s basically $ 10. $ 10 for a salad out of a pizza dive is unacceptable. true story — sat down with some pizza and a pigeon walked in. instead of informing the staff I was curious to what their response would be so I stayed quiet and watched the events unfold. probably took them 10 minutes before they realized it was in there and they chased it out. anyway — pizza dive. also their pizza is mediocre at best — definitely not worth $ 4 a slice. i get inflation makes business difficult but just beefing up price & not quality or customer service isn’t cool. I’m not going back until they change for the better.

Horrible experience from the beginning. I live in Jack London Square and placed an order at Lake Merritt location. The guy on the phone was strange and kept telling me I should order from Emeryville, I said NO! Why would I order from a place so far away ?? I proceed to place my order for a 15″ pizza with LIGHT cheese, he even read my order to me. What I received was a $ 40 extra cheesy, soggy mess. I asked for a refund, they said no. This pie is going to the trash! Not what I remembered. Also, the box says Emeryville. WTF. I asked the driver how he likes the new pay raise, he said he hates it and its not benefiting anyone. He’s worse off now than before. I think employees are disgruntled and quality has gone to the toilet. I can’t believe I paid so much for this garbage! I will NEVER go here again. WAY too expensive + angry rude staff and inedible food. Fail.

Wow… $ 5 for one slice of pepperoni? Really? It was a good slice, but not that good… Luckily the guy who served me agreed that the recent price increase of $ 1.40 per slice was inappropriate, so we threw in a can of coke on the house. It was an overall decent experience, but I won’t be back.

5 Stars! Not my typical rating, but Lanesplitter makes a damn good east coast style pizza! Notta Ricotta is a vegan cheese heaven. Typically I’m anti vegan cheese but this was delicious and it fooled by other half! I made my own 18″ pie: notta ricotta, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hears, onions, jalapeños… a bit pricey but delicious. Very excited to find good pizza, with vegan options! Lanesplitter makes their own vegan cheese… no daiya!

I came in because I smelled someone else eating a pizza with basil, and wanted a Chicane(feta, basil, onion, artichoke heart) slice. Now, normally this place isn’t the best, but it’s generic pizza and won’t make you feel sick after eating it. The pizza slices available are in a small case on the counter which holds three 3-tiered pizza trays, showcasing their 9 pizza choices available. The Chicane didn’t look too fresh, so I opted for a «carnivore»(pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom) and a «heart stopper”(spinich, bacon, Gorgonzola, feta). The guy gave me the ONLY slice of carnivore without toppings. I looked at the remaining slices; every slice had triple the toppings mine did. It seriously looks like a slice of pepperoni that someone spilled toppings near. When I commented on it, the worker said«I just grab whichever one is there.» He also refused to let me exchange it for the same or a different slice, and was an indifferent bastard about serving me a slice of adulterated pepperoni instead of what I ordered. Seriously, who is in charge of hiring people here? The past 4 times I’ve gone to get a slice the workers act like I’m interrupting them, and don’t seem give a shit about their product. After almost 2 years of going here for pizza, I’m done. You guys have gone too far down the rabbit hole of ennui and really should just stop selling. You’ve already stopped trying.

Waited over 5 minutes for the counter person to take my order but was more interested in a conversation. I guess they don’t need the business. I ended up leaving without food.

I spent an afternoon at Jack London Square and then visited with my husband’s sister who lives in Oakland. We were hungry and craving pizza, so she suggested this Lanesplitter location — which wasn’t far from her home. I’ve had Lanesplitter before, and I like it well enough. They had a couple vegetarian options and I ordered two of the large slices. My husband ordered two slices of pepperoni and a soda(can) — I brought my own container of water. Our total was $ 18.53. We finished paying and found a table — there was only one other group seated at this point, and a couple people standing around — yet every table was pretty dirty. As we wiped our table clean, a woman came in asking for money. She asked each person in the place, and a couple kids gave her some change. We had no change and gave her only a smile. I was surprised the employees didn’t ask her to go outside, but she wasn’t there very long. We waited a few more minutes before the pizza came out, cooked well-done on request. I ate most of mine and my husband finished his. Before we finished, we found ourselves face to face with the same woman asking for change. We were seated at the table next to the cashier — why do employees find this acceptable? If she had asked for pizza, I’d be okay helping out, but I don’t want to be asked to give away money while I’m eating dinner.

Fantastic slices! Great, friendly service! Price was right. The Heartstopper was amazing, could use a little more bacon perhaps.

I gave this a 2* but I was leaning more towards a 1*. The problem with lanesplitter is the value. You don’t really get much for the $ 28 you’re going to spend on a large. Its about the same style and quality of Sbarro, but waaaaay more expensive. We ordered a large and recevied very few toppings. «Skimping» on the toppings is always a thumbs down in my book. However, if you need a quick slice of something completely average. This is your place, as they do sell by the slice.
