This restaurant is closed, far as I can tell. Phone disconnected and we drove by and couldn’t find it.

I tried to call both numbers for Szechuan and for Ichiban. Both were disconnected with no forwarding. Guess they are out of business?

Ordered from here because it delivered. Mistake The food was delivered wrong, we called to let them know and they argued about it and offered NOTHING but an attiude. And I am currently eating the food and wishing I would have just went and picked up take out at somewhere good with good service. STAYAWAY

I’ve never actually been to this place as we always order delivery, but my boyfriend and I like that we can order different types of food from the same restaurant. Even though I’m pretty sure that the owners are Chinese, we both agree the Japanese food is better! They have SO much on the menu it’s kinda crazy. I’ve tried the nigiri sushi in addition to the rolls and I’m never disappointed. The only downside is that sometimes the rolls look small, although recently they’ve been bigger; I’m not really sure what the cause for the change is since the price is still the same. It tastes fresh and room temp so I know it hasn’t been sitting in the fridge. For the price, and the fact that they deliver, you really can’t beat it. My boyfriend usually gets the Chinese food, and he quite likes the asparagus beef w/black bean sauce. The food always arrives promptly and hot. I would definitely recommend giving it a try :)

Delivery sushi can be so hit or miss and in this case it was mostly a hit. The misses came about in that it’s cheap deliverable sushi and you get what you pay for. Yes it was fresh and yes they were friendly but in the end it’s cheap sushi that you can get delivered in Oakland, Piedmont & Emeryville. Perfect for when you’re craving the raw fish and are low on funds.

Another GrubHub find for me and the bf. Our track record with GH and our delivery area has been a mediocre one, tried and true. We turn to GH in desperation or laziness, so it’s never exciting. I guess we were feeling especially ballsy last night and ordered Japanese. I was expecting total garbage, but I was wrong. Most of our food was pretty damn good! * Yaki soba($ 8.95) – big-ass portions, flavorful, lots of shrimp, comes with miso soup. * Beef chow fun($ 5.25) – bland, overcooked noodles, but the beef was succulent! * Hawaii roll($ 4.95) – we asked for it to made spicy and some pieces almost burned my mouth – and I like spicy. The tuna was actually fresh tasting as well as the avocado and cucumber. * Negihama($ 3.95) – fresh fish! Yes! Special combo($ 13.75) with: * Tonkatsu – large portion, off-putting yellow color, disgusting tonkatsu sauce(way too sweet/tangy), but the meat itself was pretty good! * Chicken teriyaki – large portion, moist, but bland. Ichiban delivers, knows how to cook meat perfectly, and has fresh tasting fish – I think I can overlook some of their flavorless items for this. They won’t be my go-to Japanese spot, but when my ass refuses to be pried from the couch, I’ll see you again, Ichiban.

The vegetarian sushi(aka some kind of veggie maki) is pretty good… especially when you are feeling super lazy and can get it via DELIVERY! We love us some veggie-tempura sushi, and this place does a pretty good job of it. We probably would try somewhere else if we were going out, but for delivery, it is more than okay.

Ichiban/Szechuan, I will give you five stars cumulatively for all of your wonderful facets: 1. Being a Japanese restaurant that delivers. 2. Friendly delivery guys(who remembered my husband and I through three different Oakland apartments!) 3. Delicious Katsu 4. Reliably good roll selection 5. Fresh, non-stanky fish at a reasonable price 6. My favorite chow mein since I moved off of the Peninsula. I will continue to give my business to this place for as long as I live in Oakland, and hey – if you’re listening, try adding some specials to the menu! I bet your many loyal followers would love some new choices – just as long as you don’t take the old faves away :)

So happy right now… big rolls, big tempura order, super fast and friendly delivery. Forgot about this place… used to work in the area and get delivery regularly. It’s not the greatest sushi, but it is decent, fairly fresh, tasty, good variety, not terribly expensive for the size and amount. Happy happy joy joy

I want to update: Not only is the food amazing, they still deliver and they know me by heart now! The tuna in the tuna roll is amazing, I don’t know what the other reviewer had or maybe it was an off night for them, but the spicy tuna rolls are deeeeelishis! The Tempura rolls are yum yum yum, and the Dragon rolls oh my god!

Hey, first off, two words: they deliver. The food isn’t great, but its tasty enough and I’ve succumbed to their consistency. The benti box is delicious; the sushi pretty good and the tempura and vegatable fairly decent. I’m not expecting Nobu-quality, obviously, so on that basis, this place is pretty good. I wish I could give them a 3. 5star but since I can’t, this will have to do. Only negativity? They’re a little expensive, but keep in mind its sushi and Japanese food and yes, THEYDELIVER. Time to eat.

The food was pretty good. Not the best but it was pretty good. This is the only Japanese restaurant that would deliver to my hood. The other places that do delivery said I was out of their area, even though a few were like a 3 – 4 minute drive away(WTF). Anyways the food was better than I expected and it got here HOT and hella quick. The tempura and california rolls were a little bland and lacking flavor, but for the price I got what I expected. I give this place a 3 outta 5 or a strong C+. I will order from here again on a night where I need food and am too lazy to drive somewhere.

Why I never went to this place before is beyond me. They deliver both sushi and chinese food. My friend at the gym turned me on to this place. Cool, another groovy little place to eat and run close to the Lake area.

I have been ordering this food for the past three years and like many have echoed in their reviews, Delivery Sushi FTW! Not only does this spot hook up some decent Sushi. They also deliver Chinese food to double up your choices! Two styles knocked out at once is pretty nice. So how is the food here? Well to be honest I’ve had better sushi and Chinese food, duh that is to be expected, however for the simple fact they deliver and I personally do not know of too many location within Oakland that do. I would have to say this is pretty much average. It is a bet pricey and can take your wallet for a nice trip however when lazy or sick, as I am now, you really can not complain. In closing, if you are looking for top notch Sushi and will fuss if you don’t get it, then do not order from here. As stated before, the food is indeed good but it will not be the best or above what I would consider average. However if you are looking for a good average sushi joint without the need of getting your ass off the couch; the exception of answering the door to grab the food. Then by all means order away!

Finally. A dream come true. Sushi that delivers. I’m fundamentally lazy, but I love sushi so much, I’ve even tried to make it myself; which doesn’t come out half bad, but I’d rather get the good stuff. The food arrived in less than 30 minutes and piping hot. The edamame was overcooked, and just kinda falls apart in my mouth. The spicy tuna rolls are rather spicy, and the structure of the rolls look awfully lumpy on the rice side. The spider roll is ridiculously huge which compromises it’s structure a bit; but delicious nonetheless. Rainbow rolls include some decent fish and they use chunks of imitation crab vs. the salad, which I prefer. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied. The meal also includes about 800 packets of soy sauce, a heaping lump of wasabi… enough to set a party of 50’s mouths on fire, and about an entire jar of pickled ginger. A little excessive in my opinion, but I guess I can appreciate the ample sides.

Well, let’s just say what I like about this place is that it delivers. The delivery is quick, and the food is still warm when you get it. My husband can’t stand this place’s food. What I like about this place is that… well… they deliver. They have both Japanese and Chinese food. I have ordered various things from both the Chinese side and the Japanese side. The food is not great, but its ok.(Slighty better than dollar Chinese food)(I did standard-can’t go too wrong items) I tried some of the Japanese food and Chinese food. I did not try the sushi, however. One plus is that they take credit cards, even on deliveries. This is the kind of place that’s good when you don’t want pizza or burgers but want delivery. The menu has a ton of options. It is a good choice for rainy or cold days when you want delivery.

there are, from what I can tell, two solid, deliver-no-matter-what restaurants in Oakland, For the love of everything in my soul, it kills me that there is one pizza place, and this place, and that’s it, but hey whatcha gonna do That being said, it is no where near the best sushi or chinese i’ve ever eaten, but it is solid. sushi and chinese food, and nothing i’ve had has been bad, so whatever your mood, it tries to cover it and considering the lace of options, does a pretty nice job of it. Seriously delivers all the time, speedy delivery too.

It was raining and I was hungry. I decided to take a chance and order from Ichiban. I’m glad that I did. The sushi ISN’T the best but you know what, they’re pretty damn good. I loved the dragon roll, spider roll and the California roll. I will be getting more from them and soon. Way to go, Ichiban!

I don’t love fake, rubbery, generic tasting sushi or sashimi so I’m gonna have to give this place a big thumbs down cause that is what you’ll get. Don’t get their Chinese food either, it gives Chinese food a bad name.
