S’MAC

so yummyyyy! I’m a sucker for a good plate of mac n’ cheese. The owner was so nice about giving me recommendations and even told me which size would be appropriate instead of just trying to make money off of me.

Ordered food at 6:30pm. Still waiting at 9pm.
Initial order was apparently «given to my doorman», even though the building refuses to take delivery orders as a rule. Haven’t received any calls yet. I explained this to S’Mac, and they still made it sound like it was my fault or that the doorman must have taken it.
Terrible customer service.
Don’t order from here unless you want to wait hours for your food.

Ive only had good mac and cheese once ever and that was on my trip to Nashville in the summer. My friend told me of this place months ago and told me it would be great. Im very picky with my mac and cheese but this place did look good. After a long day at the MET we decided to check this place out.
They had plenty of options and even had this option where you can take mac and cheese home and bake it yourself. My friend was going to take some for her bf but she forgot. Oh right, so I ordered a very basic one. Just plain mac and cheese and it was delicious! My friend got the same thing but we agreed that we should have ordered different things. Out of this world might be a way to describe it? Ive had very dry or even watery mac and cheese but this was on point. The workers were friendly and I loved the atmosphere. If you are a fan of mac and cheese then this is the place for you. If you arent the biggest fan then try this and it might change your mind

Traveled from my hotel in midtown down here because I was craving some Mac. I thought it would come in a skillet but it actually came in a plastic container. It looked like a microwave dinner. The Mac was super oily and I feel like I gained 10 pounds eating it. Maybe good as a snack when drunk but not for a meal.

Great. No complaints. Consistent and good everytime I come. Try this place out if you love mac & cheese.

3^rd time having it, 1^st time reviewing. Maybe why this review will be pretty bland. I would give it 4* but considering this is my 3^rd time here I must give it 5* considering it blew my tastebuds the 1^st time I had it.
For $ 7+ it’s totally worth the stars.
The music is also very good here, calm, soothing, classics, on a Friday evening. And it was not jam packed today.
I ate the 4 cheese — Nosh. Threw some Louisiana hot sauce on it and it was great.
To wash it down, chugged a Black Cherry Cola.

Decent mac and cheese, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek this place out. Recommended to me by a friend when I had a hankering for mac and cheese, and while the 4 cheese I had was good, it didn’t really satisfy my craving, and actually made me feel a little fatter (an no, I’m not a health but by any stretch).
Being my first time at SMAC, the server kindly suggested that 4 cheese and Cheeseburger were two very popular choices. I had the 4 cheese, nosh size, and he asked if I’d like breadcrumbs on the top (gets mixed with cheese, then baked into a crunchy crust).

I love SMAC.
I have nothing bad to say. It’s amazing.

Bland Mac and cheese. If I am going to eat an entire plate of fat and carbs then it better be damn good. And this was not.

Solid mac and cheese.
Finally switched from my usual Parisienne order (brie, figs, shitake, rosemary) and tried the eight-​style sampler, served bubbling in Lodge cast iron.
Surprisingly, the mongo-​sized sampler ($ 16) was cheaper than a mongo-​sized single variety (~$ 20); maybe the platter was shallower? Was more impressed with the white cheese varieties including the Alpine (gruyère/​bacon) and Napoletana (garlic/​basil) than the cheddar varieties. As always, the crumb/​cheese crusts were calorie-​packed treats.
La Mancha didn’t quite fit — the mac and cheese archetype — not so good.
Strange bus-​your-​own-​table setup. About half the customers did not.

Oh my! After Gail on Orpah talked about this places years ago on AN Oprah episode, i’ve dreamed of going here. And it finally happened last week! So worth the wait! I’m a Mac-​n-​cheese lover & this place didn’t disappoint! We got the sampler, so glad we did as we got to try 8 different types. We also had a couple Stewart’s sodas. well known in NY I guess. Yummy!
I highly recommend coming here & I will be back next time I visit NYC!
Please open a S’MAC in Las Vegas!!!

A great quick place to stop for dinner. I ordered the ‘Nosh’ size and found it to be a perfect amount! I ordered the Parisienne — brie, roasted figs, shitakes, and rosemary! I love figs and rosemary so no way I could pass this up. It was warm, cheesy, and crunchy from the bread crumbs. No complaints. (If you’re ever in Oakland, CA stop by Homeroom for some delicious Mac’s as well)

I originally left a positive review of this place because it is a favorite of my visiting friends and a great concept of a restaurant. However, after living through the worst food poisoning of my life, I beg you to proceed with caution here. There are a two red flags you must know about. 1.) If you look up this location on the New York Health inspector website, it notes they have had a lot of trouble in the past providing sanitary cooking conditions. 2.) They sell laxative relief pills at the counter (I can’t make this up)

Ordered hungover delivery from this place and was pretty disappointed. After a day in bed, we really wanted creamy, warm, cheesy pasta but the results did not live up.
We tried the 4-​cheese, the All American, and the Napoletana (regular, but they do offer vegan and gluten-​free options). The Napoletana was definitely the best, because it actually had a creamy sauce/​texture. The other two were basically baked noodles with melted cheese over them. Very dry and separate.
Idk, this place may be better if you go in person, but I wasn’t feelin’ it. I would maybe try the build-​your-​own option. On the bright side tho, no delivery charge!

I love Mac N Cheese!
It’s not something I eat on a regular or even occasionally. It’s one of those opportunity foods.
I’ve been here before and ordered a Major Munch sized MNC and so has my wife, however this time we tried the sampler since I’ve been really into variety these past few weeks (beer flights, samplers, combos)
The MNC Sampler is 16 $ which comes in a VERY average sized pan (more towards the smaller side) total was 17 and change after tax!
They had it made relatively quickly and had it sizzling when it arrived to the table. We had all the flavors and started to dig in immediately!
It was so delicious! Even the ones that weren’t too good was okay because there was so many flavors of MNC! I like this location because it’s just very comfortable and is almost like a self-​service spot. They do however bring you your order to your table.
They also provide free water, utensils, napkins and whatnot at the center of the store!
Not really worth the money to buy a sampler if you’re hungry since the regular sizes have more depth in the pan unlike the sampler hence providing more MNC! But if you’re into diversity i’d recommend the sampler to REALLY find your favorite!
I loved the Alpine, Cajun, and 4 Cheese!

Words don’t do this justice. Fast service, to die for Mac n cheese. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!
Masala is a MUST try, it’s surprising how well the flavors mix.

Nothing like some good old Mac and Cheese.
Came here with some friends and we all decided to order the Alpine Mac and Cheese. It had bacon in it. Who can resist bacon?! I mean, it’s BACON!
It tasted heavenly and it was the best Mac and Cheese I ever had!
I think I’m beginning to grow an addiction to S’MAC, even though this was my first time here. It was THAT good.
It will change your life (Okay, I can’t necessarily promise that. However, you’ll definitely love it!).
I will definitely come back!

Ordered this by delivery, and waited less than an hour.
The buffalo chicken was good, the chicken itself was not great, mostly the buffalo hot sauce was what differentiated.
The all-​american was definitely the best of the two, pretty simple/​classic, and not overly cheesey.
The smallest size is definitely enough for two, I only ate half the all-​american and saved for the next day, after reheating in the oven it still tasted really good, so good for at least two meals!

Came here most recently for their 9^th Birthday Celebration event — $ 1 Mac and Cheese — I can’t ever turn that down! The only mac that was included in this special was their All-​American in «nosh» size, which is basically a small.
Their «All American» Mac n’ cheese is described by SMAC as being, «Just the way you remember it as a kid! Nostalgia at its finest — a tasty blend of American & Cheddar cheeses». It is a simple and basic mac that’s both cheesy and creamy without all the bells and whistles that most of their other mac n’ cheese varieties come with.
My mac was prepared super quickly (and they were churning out batches for the lengthy line that formed behind me… there were only 6 folks in front of me when I arrived, muhahahaha. Ha!), was bubbly and all around deliciousness.
On a non-​special day, my All-​American Mac n’ Cheese would have been $ 6. That’s pretty cheap, but I have a spot in Astoria who’s mac is the same price and is insanely better than this one… is it worth it? Sure. If you really need your mac n’ cheese fix it IS delicious and the serving size isn’t awful. But I also wouldn’t go out of my way to come here for mac either. It’s solid… and probably good for picky kids.
Also, I really do want to return sometime and give their mac sampler a whirl. It’s $ 16 and is composted of the following specialties: All-​American, 4 Cheese, Cheeseburger, La Mancha, Cajun, Napoletana, Alpine and Parisienne. It sounds like perfection…

El sitio es bueno, no es lo mejor del mundo como lo esperaba pero es bueno y es bastante económico (2 platos medianos y 1 cocacola por 21 $)
Quizá fue nosotros que nos bajamos mal del autobus pero para llegar caminamos muchísimo.
El sitio es pequeño y agradable la decoración.
Si están por la zona lo recomiendo, no recomiendo ir hasta allá solo por ir a comer.
