Hi everyone, PLEASEDOYOURSELF A FAVORANDAVOIDGOINGHERE So I surely am not the person to go on and write reviews although I am sure it helps us when figuring out where to go to hopefully get the best experience. I will walk you through my experience at this place and just want to say that Horrible is too little of a word to describe this place. I had made an appointment for 10:00am. An older man was waiting before I was and he was still sitting down and not being attended by anyone. A couple of people come through the door after 20 minutes of me waiting in the place and they are being helped before someone even asks for my name or my insurance card. Thats not the worst part of it yet because as soon as I saw this, I spoke up and let the man who was in front of me to go. The representative came to help me after I complained and stood up for me and this man. I was asked for my insurance card after and Representative A had called my insurance because she couldn’t believe that my co pay was just of $ 10.00 and for my glasses, I would only be responsible for 5% of the glasses cost if its the glasses covered under my insurance. mind you I have my insurance through the market place aka Obama care then i was sent downstairs. The only good part about this place is seriously the doctor who saw me. He is very attentive to your concerns, explains everything as you go and someone who is very professional and patient. I was then sent to administration to choose my glasses. representative A asks me to pick out the one I want. Representative A tells Representative B(manager) or so she calls herself to charge me for my glasses until a 5% of the cost. So basically if my glasses are 200, I will be paying approx just 10 dollars and this is due to me not having a deductible. Representative B asked A if she was sure of what she was telling her to charge me and if she didnt think they had told her the opposite. These people had checked with my insurance before and asked me to wait for a claim. which in that case she told me about it but never explained as to why she needed to file a claim and she blamed it on the fact that I was getting loud and i did because I felt that my rights as a customer was being violated and i wasnt given the right treatment. i had my insurance on the phone to verify that they had told Representative A the correct information. They wanted to charge me 157.00 and they were quick to do it, but the representative A acted like what was said to her by the insurance wasnt right after talking to the manager, eventhough thats what she knew was right. they didnt want to give me the glasses because i would only be paying 10 dollars as oppose to the 100 and something that was their price. This place is horrible with customer service and to know that it was the manager, actually disappointing me that I want to support and go to dominican businesses as I am dominican but dont care about making you feel horrible. because she is the manager and her husband is the owner, of course I dont have anyone above them to complain. she implied that one complain out of so many people that go there wont probably do anything and she stated that the good reviews get deleted. Its a long one guys but PLEASEPLEASEAVOIDGOINGTHERE !!! I made an appointment for 11:15 am. I showed up early at 11 to complete insurance paperwork. I was asked for my insurance card but nothing else. It took them 30 minutes to complete all the paperwork, and it took multiple employees on one call to check on insurance. I told them I wanted just a contact exam, no eye glasses or contacts. The employees nodded and asked me to fill out some paperwork. I was told then to go downstairs, where I found a waiting room with no receptionist, about 20 people waiting, and a stressed out assistant and doctor. There was no rhyme or reason. I waited for about 20 minutes then went bask upstairs to ask about my exam. The employees had not checked on my appointment, and didn’t realize I had an appointment. I asked if the waiting room was always like that, and the employee didn’t really answer. I asked if I had an appointment would I be able to be seen at that time, and she didn’t have an answer. They called downstairs and told me to head down there, as the assistant was expecting me. We did a couple pre-screenings, and about 5 minutes later the doctor called me in. I tell him I am there for contacts, and he has no idea. He sends me back to the assistant, who tells me at that point(more than an hour after I first got there) that my insurance doesn’t cover contact exams, and I would need to buy a package. I tell her I’m frustrated by the package, by the inability to get just a contacts exam(a problem I have not had anywhere else) and by the general lack of customer service and ability to tell me this from the beginning. I’m sent back upstairs, and the employees tell me there is nothing they can do. At this point I’ve been there about an hour and a quarter, being told I can’t get just my exam. They could’ve told me at the start, but the staff did not seem knowledgeable of any process. I will never go back there and never recommend that place, even though it is a block from my house. It did look nice inside.

Went there to have a pair of glasses tightened and they broke the lens. And they offer a $ 10⁄150 discount to replace the lens. Horrified will never go back there.

Horrible horrible place! I only went here because it seemed nice on the outside, near my school and took my insurance. What a mistake! I ended up paying for the contact exam out of pocket since for some reason it was MORE with insurance. Although it wasnt expensive… it was a HUGE waste of money. The optometrist was nice and all but the place is run by money hungry people that charge you $ 15 for TRIAL contact lens that should come with the exam. In the end, Im going to have to go to another optometrist for a new prescription because it isnt even right and Im not ordering a year supply of lens with the wrong prescription. What a waste of money!!!
