It is a very good place for a meal. The pizza is excellent. The food, overall, is well-prepared, and tasty. The only drawback are the drunks who drink their lives away at the small bar. If you bring the family, do a breakfast, lunch, or early-dinner.

This place is rated ½ stars? Really? Give me a break. I eat here a lot when I fly in for Headquarters. UsuallY i have scrambled & bacon on a roll but the have a wide variety of choices for every meal. The place is climate controlled perfectly, is clean, has TVs and a bathroom. If you are looking for a good diner with solid food and one that is accessible(i.e. Open a lot) try it.

Ate an uncooked sausage for breakfast last Tuesday here. Was my fault as I said I was in a rush to get to work and was a little rude but the food really was not tasty. Also I believe there was a small billing error but was in a rush so please double check your bill when you pay.

Saw this establishment on my way to the new office and the sign that advertised Pizza and Chinese food piqued my interest. I stopped by the next morning for a quick breakfast sandwich, what better way to judge than a simple sausage, egg and cheese on a roll cuz let’s face it if you can’t make then u probably shouldn’t call yourself a diner. Ordered from the gentleman at the counter and was told to wait 5 mins. Was an open kitchen so was able to see everything. Cook took some frozen sausage links and dropped them in the fryer. Wasn’t really expecting links but rather a round patty but was willing to give this a try. He then proceeded to crack open an egg and began to cook it on the stovetop. The bread was stored somewhere under the counter which was a little concerning to me but something I guess I could live with. Cut the bread open and threw it on the grill wrong side down… Now when u cut open a roll and want to toast it, wouldn’t you put the inner bread on the stove to toast it? Nope chef put it wrong side down and walked away. Grabbed some aluminum foil and then proceeded to put my sandwich together. Bread, egg, cold cheese. Fried sausage links. Done. Paid and went to the office. The foil was full of grease and the sandwich was definitely not even remotely flavorful. Couldn’t even taste the sausage. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you were in dire need of a quick bite and had no other options.

A slice of pizza, egg drop soup, and a pair of sandwiches, how could you go wrong? Pizza was decent, maybe 6⁄10. Soup was tasty but lukewarm. Sandwiches were very tasty, french fries were lukewarm. Coffee was good for a diner. Will be returning.

Weird mix of diner, spanish place and chinese takeout spot is compounded by weirder mix of project denizens, lost tourists and randos. stick with the chinese options, avoid most else. also, be wary of the countertop as the bathroom key finds its way there in between uses. 2 out of 5 peptos.

The prices they charge you do not reflect the prices on their menus. If it is not pizza, you will be scratching your head about how they came up with that price on your check. Pizza is solid… if the mustached man who is conveniently named«Mario» is around. If he is not manning the counter, do not buy the pizza. One time when Mario was off work(6 ish), there was still pizza on the counter. So the family who runs the place takes charge of it. A lady in front of me orders a slice. The old grand mother who was manning the counter tried to separate two slices that were connected by the crust, which lead to one of them falling face down onto the ground. She puts one slice into the oven, and the delicious slice that is face down on the ground is picked up… and thrown in the direction of the pizza counter. I do not know if it landed on the counter, or if there was a garbage bin underneath the counter. I did not want to take the chance. I ran out, whilst the owner of the establishment chased me, and try to get me to go back in.

Dominican chicken was solid, Chinese vegetables were great: fresh and copious dark green leafy pea shoots and green beans. Service was very pleasant.

Seriously, this place is scary. I dont eat here at all anymore. The pizza guy gets your slices out with his fingers? yuck. Too many people in here drinking beer too…- the only bar in town I guess. Seems like theres a layer of grease on everything too. Have no clue how tbhey achieved an A rating from the city.

THEWORSTSERVICE I’VEEVERHAD. I’ve been here three times and every time the service was bad. However, this last time was ridiculous. There was maybe one other customer there. I made eye contact with at least three employees, sat down, waived my hand and after 10 minutes just left. When I have had the food there, it was ok. You’re better off going to Everest.

I felt the compulsion to try this place because it was a full 5 blocks closer to where I was working than the Everest Diner at Confucius Plaza. In other words, I was being lazy. I’ve always avoided it, being that its located in the projects and maligned here on Unilocal. I should have made the hike. The breakfast was decent, but took half an hour. Scrambled eggs and pancakes, I’ll bet I could train a Pomeranian to cook it in 10 minutes. It would only take THAT long because they don’t have opposable thumbs. I also had to get up and fetch my own silverware, butter and syrup from the counter because the«waitress» forgot/was ignoring me. Not having learned my lesson, and thinking perhaps they could do better, I went back for lunch. I gotta hand it to ‘em, they’re consistent. The sweet and sour chicken was edible, but for Christ’s sake, we’re in Chinatown. Ambiance sucks, its dirty and the ghetto kids coming in causing a ruckus don’t help.

This place is just ridiculous. It wasn’t even a language barrier problem because I spoke to them in Chinese.(although I could definitely see how it was f-ing up their service with other customers) I can definitely say the wait staff is incompetent in their native language as well, so don’t think you’re missing out on anything. They had a senile old lady with parkinsons trying to pack my order in 2 bags of mis-matched size, neither of which was appropriate for my order size. One of the waitresses knocked over a stack of pizza boxes and just left them on the floor. The manager spent 10 minutes trying to locate a bottle of brandy that a customer was pointing out/describing to her. I watched her pick up and move the same bottles 3 times because she just couldn’t figure out how to move them out of her way to get the one behind it. It was funny except for the fact that they were wasting everyone’s time. I definitely won’t be back for food. Maybe to watch their 3 stooges style service.

Are you kidding me with the service?! I repeat my order multiple times to a waitress that barely speaks English. The food isn’t even worth the 30 minute wait! the staff and manager/waitress is constantly nagging at each other, because the language barrier.

Cheap eats, consistent quality, and some fun fish to stare at while you wait for a slice.
