Very low prices actually. Try some of their eclectic sandwiches and offerings for lunch. Great atmosphere to boot

Check this out, I will venture to say that this place has, consistently, the best burgers in town. Seriously. I have been there several times and each time I tend to get the double burger. It’s always amazing. The size and portions are big. One time I ordered a special burger with accompanying spinach salad. It was amazing, man. This has always been my burger go-to spot. The big name franchises cannot even compare. I know that the place has been sold recently. The waitresses are still the same and I hope they kept the cooks. Speaking of the waitresses, they are always awesome.

Was running early for a class, so decided to get something to eat, the food & service was outstanding and cheap for a Manhattan coffee shop

Ordered pancake with bacon and it tasted delicious! It was around 8 bucks but it was worth it since they give you so much. The wait was not long, service was nice. I went at 12 so it wasn’t crowed. Would definitely come back!

Strait up dinner in Chinatown. Owner is Greek & his daughter works there some times. The food is exactly what you’d expect but a little fresher, greasier & tastier. Cops & lots of non-Chinese locals eat here all the time. I love this place — breakfast is best.

we had about 45 minutes to kill before catching a taxi to the airport, and it was early in the morning. we walked in, and the place was packed. with NYPD! everywhere! cops at every booth, on every stool. it was awesome. we were seated in a cozy booth immediately, coffee & water was in front of us before we even asked, and everything was awesome. I ordered the turkey sausage and egg on a roll — delicious! prices were good, service was SO good, and I will definitely make a point of returning on my next trip. every single morning!

Not bad diner food. Breakfast is a little expensive. Had a burger the other day which was actually very good. The service is usually nice and food comes pretty quickly. Small place, quick service and lots of cops inside because it’s so close to headquarters & court.

The food is really bad. I ordered the falafel, cheese fries, and a few other things from seamless. I couldn’t finish the food, it was really bad.

Sometime I am hankering for a big beefy burger but when I’m in the middle of Chinatown where is a hankering guy to do? My GF remember that Everest makes a great burger. Everest is a hidden little gem of a diner in the middle of Chinatown and have survived for a long time with so many changes going on around them. I lover their burger platter. I got the a huge beef burger is $ 5.50 + $ 2 for the deluxe treatment(add tomato, lettuce, fries) The burger taste fresh and not made from a frozen meat paddy. The cold slew is just ok. Rated 4⁄5 Want some cooked onions on the burger? They’re happy to add some. The décor is from the late 70s but it is clean. Service is friendly. The owner had time to come out from behind to corner to say hi too.

The food isn’t that great but it’s a solid diner in the neighborhood. The waitresses are super and efficient. It’s a friendly restaurant that I go to when I’m feeling some American breakfast. The menu is pretty extensive, and the prices are fair.

$ 10 for a large feta, spinach omelette breakfast and orange juice. Omelette came with home fries, and two slices of toast. Small place with a few booths and a few tables. It’s quite noisy and busy with quick turnover. The staff are just happy, friendly enough, and quick. It’s the kind of place I’d regularly go for a big breakfast when I just can’t be bothered to cook at home.

Took my brother here this morning to fulfill his pancakes craving. We got pancakes with bacon, French toast with bacon, herbal tea and iced cappuccino.(Totaling to $ 19.25) Both dishes came with 3 pieces of pancakes/French toast and 3 pieces of bacon. The French toast wasn’t anything special because it was literally just toast. Not even really«French toast». Pancakes were big and filling. The cappuccino was fairly weak and wasn’t really satisfying in my opinion. But for a diner, the prices are fair. It was a busy morning, but our waitress was super attentive. Even though she got in an argument with the chef, she was able to pull through and was really nice with us, earning her a 25% tip. Overall, all the staff we encountered here were so sweet and nice. Will definitely be returning to try non-breakfast foods.

Everest is a great diner located at the edge of Chinatown. It is very close to Police Headquarters and Verizon as well as Murray Burgtram HS so it is your ideal walking distance dinner. Everest has great food which is serviced quickly and courteously. I particularly like the eggs over easy with turkey bacon. But everything I’ve ever had here is great — including the French toast I am enjoying right now! Owned by a friendly Greek family, you will always be treated warmly!

The food was way too salty and greasy. Service was okay, though it shouldn’t have taken 20 minutes to make an omelette. Pancakes were also terrible(not fluffy but hard, probably frozen pancakes that were heated up). Don’t plan on coming back here.

You’d have to have pretty low expectations to give this place any more than 1 or 2 stars. The only positive about it is that it’s American food in Chinatown which is hard to find. However you are better off walking a few more blocks up to the Lower East side and going to Katz’s or somewhere else. Why? Because the food is just low class at Everest. Think soggy French Toast and cooked ham that us really deli sliced thin ham cooked for 10 seconds.

Definitely a hit or miss spot. My boyfriend and I come here as regulars, and the staff is always friendly. It’s a mom-and-pop run sort of business, so you’ll always see the two daughters waitressing back and forth. Portions are HUGE. No exaggeration. You could doggy bag it home and still have leftovers for days. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu sandwich after a night of partying and I almost passed out because it was JUSTTHATBIG. Disappointed in my most recent outing though. I ordered their Wednesday special, which was chicken parm with a soup of your choice on the side. Chicken noodle soup is okay, no problem, but then the guy brings out my chicken parm and I immediately know something’s not right. He had substituted ketchup, or had mixed a shit ton of ketchup with(canned) tomato sauce and had dumped it onto my chicken parm. I could smell it from a mile away, and it was pretty gross. My boyfriend tried to tell me that it wasn’t ketchup, it was just sweet tomato sauce, but I’ve frequented enough Italian restaurants as well as cooked and ate enough pasta to know my sauces. Of course, he plays the dutiful boyfriend and switched my plate with his bolognese pasta so I’d stop complaining. Of course, we’ll still come back here(where else are we going to go cure our hangovers or random cravings?) but I am never getting pasta again.

A grungy, hole in the wall Greek coffee shop in Chinatown, that makes a good breakfast and lunch. Lots of cops and attorney’s eat here due to it’s proximity to the court houses and One Police Plaza. No complaints.

Classic American diner right in the heart of… Chinatown? This review is for delivery only; the only time I ever eat food from here is after waking up after a night of partying, and unable to walk downstairs from the apartment to renourish. I’ve had everything from pancakes, to belgian waffles, pasta dishes, quesadillas, gyros & sandwiches. Delivery is quick, portions are HUGE, food hits the spot, prices are cheap, and the orders have always been accurate. This holds a solid place on my list of «can’t walk out of the apartment» eateries!
