sooo happy this place closed !

lol just as I had hoped… They were shut down.

I know it’s in a touristy area so I can not expect much from this place. The food’s okay, depending on what you order.
I got the monte cristo panini, it was alright. The tandoori chicken wrap was too dry though. Friendly staff.

How does this place survive?
The name should be ‘JP Plastic’
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Paper plates and package-​wrapped plasticware is not something you should expect to receive for these prices. I could get that at a street vendor. The soup was canned and came in a paper cup with packaged oyster crackers.
We sat outside in plastic chairs at a plastic table. Had I known this was what I was in for I would have gone elsewhere. I’m not sure the waiter fully understood what I was asking for, but whatever– that would have only added insult to grave injury.
As a New Yorker, I would think the places in the tourist areas have to really wow people, but JP really doesn’t care it seems. If only there were a way for the locals to warn the tourists who fall into this trap. if only the management would read about this place. If only I’d gone elsewhere.

I think people are better off going to neighboring establishments. Nothing special, I feel like I would prefer a Financial District deli over this place for lunch.

I used to live downtown, so i spent quite a few afternoons sitting to study or «people-​watch»
You see the hustle and bustle of people going to work, tourists walking around, and the food here isn’t too shabby.
It’s a standard deli, so you have choices of various sandwiches and salads. They even serve alcohol here! Sometimes they have «happy hour» specials. I like this place in the spring and the summer because they have outdoor seating.

This place is quite small but provided a welcome seat out of todays torrential rain while scouting out photography sites down at the seaport.
They serve starbucks coffee and a decent enough BEC on a croissant. The wait staff was nice.
Looks like they have lunch and desserts too.
