3 Stars. Ordered a slice of Peperoni and Sicilian Pizza. It was average NY pizza. Though the place is small there is a good amount of different slices to try,

Love the slices here. 2 slices + soda for $ 4 = great deal in NYC:) the slices are huge and taste good. The place is kind of shady but it’s Hell’s Kitchen after all. staff is friendly and food is good — that’s all I care about. I recommend this place.

completely average. The pizza was ok, not great and just good for a slice. Definitely leaves you wanting something better. Hardly any sauce, little flavor, the kind of pizza that you have to put tons of stuff on to make it good(garlic powder, basil, parm cheese)

My friend used to own this pizza shop. It has new management. The slices were decent, but when you are used to seeing your friend behind the counter, it can be a bit disappointing. My dining companion enjoyed the pizza. It had a thin crust, that I like and have mentioned before. The staff was friendly. I wish them the best of luck!

Stick a Pitch Fork in me, I’m done… Only kidding… Hell’s Kitchen Pizza is a great neighborhood place to grab a slice of pizza. The Hellfire Pizza rocks — it is nice and spicy, and trust me, my tolerance for spice is pretty high. This place changed ownership last year, and the pizza has improved with the change. Also — ordered a pie for delivery a few months ago, and it was delivered pretty quickly, which can be a challenge in NYC. Also — the place has a cool look to it… If you are in Hell’s Kitchen, stop by and grab a slice.

I’ll first start off by saying how great the current owner is. He bought this small pizza joint about four months ago, and took what was already great and made it even better! I always order two different slices of pizza whenever i go to a new pizza joint. I tried the sicilian, which was out of this world. The flavor and texture was supreme. The next slice i had was the macaroni & cheese slice. This pie is only sold on Saturday & Saturday. Walking distance from times squares, this place is a must try!

So, if this restaurant wasn’t in perhaps the Pizza capital of the world, it would be 3 or 4 stars. Unfortunately for Hell’s Kitchen Pizza, they are located in the city with the best pizza in the world(that’s right Chicago). I visited a few friends in Hell’s Kitchen for New Years Eve. After walking about 3.5 miles to get to their apartment, I had built up a ravenous appetite for my favorite drinking base, pizza. On my buddy’s recommendation, we decided to go to Hell’s Kitchen Pizza, which is about 2 blocks from his hood. The restaurant itself is literally about the size of a large walk-in closet. There are a couple of small tables and a counter to order food. There were several pizzas, but only two were veggie friendly. I ordered a sicilian and two regular slices of margarita(sp?) pizza. They were greasy as heck, but it’s pizza and will always and forevermore be greasy. However, there really wasn’t anything memorable about my experience at Hell’s Kitchen Pizza. Skip this one for one of the other amazing pizza joints in NYC.

Got into town late wandered in as they were sweeping up — but the staff was awesome and when I realized they were closing offered to just grab something from the bodega but they wouldn’t hear of It !! Even comped me a slice of the mac n cheese(yummy) and an «angel» ricotta/artichoke pastry puff — service was great! Pizza was good — I’d def recommend it! xoxo

Kind of a neat place, particularly because when you have a slice of pizza– it’s kind of covered with tomato sauce so it looks molten and hellish. The walls are painted black with flames, there’s a lava lamp on the counter and there are a bunch of photos of celebs that have visited on the walls. When I visited, the owner, Russ, was there with a group of friends. Eavesdropping on their banter left me in a good mood. Seems like a neighborhood establishment.

Just threw down a slice of Mac & Cheese, nice idea… execution will depended on time of day. Big plus, feels like a Hell’s Kitchen joint ought to… For more Mac & Cheese, see Union Square’s Chat N Chew

Either I just got a fluke bad pie(which happens) or the majority of the people on here have drastically different pizza preferences than I do, because I ordered form this place yesterday and it was one of the worst pizzas I have ever tasted. Flavorless, hard cracker crust with sauce that tasted watered down and like it was from a can, while still somehow having no flavor whatsoever. Sparse cheese(and it tasted cheap — it had that awful spongey quality Domino’s cheese has) and at two dollars per topping I got severely shorted on my tomatoes and mushrooms I ordered — you could barely see any. I really should have taken a picture so I could show you what a botched job this was, but my boyfriend and I took a few bites and then had to throw the entire 20 dollar small pie out. I can’t even express how bad this pizza was. I’m STILL mad about it. It’s like festering inside me how awful it is. Order only if you hate flavor and proper texture and getting what you pay for.

I had a slice of the artichoke pizza just yesterday… It’s the best. I am new to Hell’s Kitchen and have been exploring a bit the last few days… My roommate swears by this place and will even walk the extra three blocks(Brick Oven Pizza is down the street, literally, from our apartment.) to get the Italian popsickle(which is basically a meatball on a stick) and a slice of grandma pizza… The staff here are friendly, the pizza is delicious with quality ingredients, not to greasy, perfect crisp but chewy crust… basically, it;s yummy!

My tongue and lips are still on fire! I just ate HK’s hellfire pizza. Living nearby the place, I was always curious to try a slice from this pizzeria that has eye-catching black and red flame-themed signs, representing the area where they are located — Hell’s Kitchen! They have some unique pizzas like mac n cheese, artichoke, grandma’s, etc. But for my first bite, I chose their signature, the hellfire. It is topped with hot Italian sausage, cherry peppers and pepperoni. But what makes this pizza so spicy is the sauce more than the hot sausage. Crust was thin and crispy. I don’t have a high tolerance in spicy food, but could finish the whole slice. While writing this review, the burns on my tongue are gradually disappearing.

Love the staff and the location… it’s RIGHT by my place. I love the variety of pizza-you can have a regular slice made into whatever you get normally but they also have the amazing hotter than hell, Mac and cheese, four cheese, and the«gramdma’s» is amazing! I absolutely love it and have never had anything like it. This is awesome pizza not another greasy slice like«ray’s» or all the other crap around. One of a kind and homemade

Being from the«Mitten» of the US I am more accustomed to Chicago style pizza(aka Papa Johns, Dominos, etc) I usually really hate NY style pizza because of all the grease and dry crust but HK Pizza was actually really good. Still greasy of course(what pizza isn’t really) but the crust didn’t taste like a cracker and the sauce was really good… and the man doesn’t go cheap on the cheese. The place is really clean, has a few table, and honestly looks really cool inside… The owner is really nice and gave us a discount just because. He was very insistant in bringing our pizza to our table and not making us to get up to get it when it was ready… which I thought was really nice. To me that embodies the essance of what a true American small business owner should be about… not discounts… but to just be a nice guy. :)

Your pizza sauce needs SALT. (The guys here are really nice though… and the mac & cheese pizza is pretty great. That’s about it.)

Where is the 5star review… you might ask. Well, I have no answer for you. To think, a store that’s named after Hell’s Kitchen, you would think it is the best pizza in the HK area. They are not. I order a regular slice for the regular price of $ 2.50. I would say that I was turned off from how it looked. It looked kind of burnt(look at the photo), but I decided to still give it a try. The pizza was okay, not the best. the crust was subpar. The pizza was mostly crusty… I wished it was softer. When I say softer, I do not mean soggy. I still ate the crust though, but left a little piece untouched. I do not think I will be going out of my way again to come here, but I will say: The workers are friendly, inside is cozy and clean, and I liked that I came here at a time that there was no other customers in the pizzeria — this was around 3:30PM. I may reconsider me revisiting if they step up on their pizza making skills.
