I went in here to order a sandwich for lunch and there were dead flies on the bottom of the display case, and a few live ones flying around. The food was uncovered and the flies were just landing on everything. So gross. Walked out without ordering anything. Looks like it had a decent selection of chips and snacks(closed thankfully) otherwise.

Cheap quick bite, I was starving for a sub and they gave me a huge sub with tons of italian cold cuts for 8 $. Definitely hit the spot. This is so perfect for a quick bite.

Great neighborhood bodega that is surprisingly well stocked with household goods, fruit, veggies and tons of beverages and snacks. Make a great egg and cheese to boot.

BEST grilled cheese ever. Bacon, tomato, cheese… nice and fresh on toasted bread oh my gosh amazing. And only 3.99. I stayed at a place upstairs from this place and was a regular those 3 days. Other great deli items and nice range of drinks and food for sale. And friendly staff too!

I do not know what I would do with this bodega. Really, we live above it and it has saved our lives many times — during sickness, during midnight drunken cravings, and during Hurricane Sandy. Thank you to all the great guys who work at 5 Bros who are always helpful and kind! Plus, this bodega has an excellent store of items — everything from honey to tea to onions to delicious deli sandwiches to great coffee to the best selection of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in Hell’s Kitchen. Thank you! Love you!

Sandwiches They have a large selection of sandwiches. Sampled the Cubano and Italian. Unfortunately it was premade(don’t know when it was prepared) and heated up to serve. The sandwiches are served with Tostitos chips. Another customer order a hot chicken type sandwich: they microwaved the chicken breast prior to making it a sandwich. Both the Cubano and Italian were okay noting really to note except for the price, which was decent. They also have a large fresh salad selection. Service was friendly and quick.

Great price, great service, great food & they deliver! Its the epitome of convenience when you can have your groceries delivered to you, along with dinner & ice cream! The sandwiches are here great. many to choose from & the prices are very good compared to most deli/grocery spots in the city. My favorite sub here is the reuben

There is nothing super spectacular about this deli. In terms of cleanliness it is average. There aren’t any vegetarian items on the deli menu and healthy items are extremely few and far between!

Great sandwiches, great service, great selection and menu. Nothing you need to go more than 10 blocks for. But if you’re in the area and looking for a good cheap lunch or dinner to go, you can’t beat a delicious sandwich for $ 5 or $ 6. It’s best to call ahead, as it allows them to have your sandwich waiting at the counter when you get there. I usually walk over 2 or 3 minutes after calling, and my food has always been there when I arrive(1 block away). I’ve tried the chicken salad hero, turkey triple and Sierra Chicken Wrap. All three were great and $ 6. As far as I know their menu isn’t online anywhere and they don’t go through any of the ordering websites. But I believe this is to keep prices down. Just pick up a menu next time you pass by and give them a call to order. They are very efficient on the phone and delivery is quite quick.

This is a great place to grab a sandwich that is well-priced and great-tasting. It’s definitely a local joint, which I like, and the two other customers that were in line in front of me both were talking familiarly with the guy behind the counter. I stopped there on my way to a friend’s place in Clinton, and I’m glad I did. I got a toasted turkey sandwich, chips, and a drink for about $ 4.50. I had to wait a little while, since there was just the one guy working, but it is a nice little place with lots to look at. There isn’t a place to sit down, you’ll have to grab and go. They also sell many items you’d find in a convienence store. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to 5 Brothers, but would go back again when I’m in the area.

I’ve been going here a few times since my office relocated and I must say that it’s been a life saver as far as lunch is concerned. Prices are reasonable — $ 5 for a chicken parm sub and it’s delicious. Service is quick and friendly. No need to make a special trip, but if you’re looking for a great, reasonably priced lunch, look no further.

I’ve been here at least a dozen times — I have two friends that live nearby, and now it’s right in my path whenever I walk home from my nightly adventures in alcoholism and debaucherous rabblerousing. Last night, walking home after partying like a madman in Chinatown, I decided I wanted a treat — but not just any treat, I wanted something special, so I dug out an old favorite of mine: a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese and tomatoes(on one side) and peanut butter and bacon(on the other side) with ground black pepper(on both sides)… It may sound disgusting, but trust me, it’s pretty damn amazing — or at least it can be, when it’s made with love. My sandwich cost $ 4 which is more than I’ve paid for it elsewhere, but it was also much better than I’ve had it anywhere else — they were very generous with the ingredients, and everything was high-quality… It was definitely worth it. The beer is always ice cold, and priced lower than other bodegas and grocery stores in the surrounding area — which is surprising since this place is actually newer and cleaner and the selection is better and the service is much more friendly…
