First time and last time there. The food was horrible. I had the chicken zesto. My cousin had pasta it was very dry and not enough salt. We just left the place and my stomach is hurting me. We asked for a warm towel. They brought back a cold and dirty towel. The bathrooms downstairs were dirty and unusable. It was very disappointing but we had to stay and eat because we were seeing a show next door. I will never go back there. It seemed really like a ver dirty place. I didn’t drink the water because I was afraid of getting sick.

I’m pretty much in agreement with the other reviewers. Nothing extraordinary but very good nonetheless. Nice dining area and very clean. I stopped here for a quick bite before taking the subway to JFK and was not disappointed. I had made-to-order pasta which was quick and tasty. The chef was cordial but to the point and business-like. The price was super reasonable which I can appreciate in NYC. In a city with so many choices, and as a tourist not sure where to go and not be ripped off, I was pleased to find an outlet of Café Europa.

Lots of options, clean and warm BUT the grilled sandwich was microwaved, dry chicken and bread soggy. Don’t be fooled like I was! I thought it would be a crispy warm cilantro chicken flatbread sandwich. Ate some of the innards only because I was starved.

This location is consistent with others. There is a wide variety of food options. The service is cordial and quick. The ambience is also quick and the location is very clean. My pasta bowl was way too hot and scalded my tongue. The cup of Chicken Noodle was also way too hot and pretty sure it was actually vegetable soup.

I’ve only been here during lunch and it gets crazy, but their food is always fresh and delicious. I especially love the soups. Will have to come back and try the breakfast which also looks great.

Great place to eat! Randomly found this café, but I’m so god we did. Their sandwich-type things were great. Toasted to perfection. Although it’s pricey($ 9 for a sandwich), what place isn’t in the heart of Times Square?

They might as well put the buffet out in the dining room so we wouldn’t have to deal with the surly servers, but I guess as long as you don’t get diarrhea, this place isn’t so bad

The food here is prepared off site, like airport food, then plastic wrapped, to seal in the soggy taste. The large black roach that was crawling on the wall near the food, can’t breach the plastic seal, so your ok! This feature gives the staff more time on their smart phones, to ignore customers… a win win all around.

It’s what you expect from a touristy café. Okay food, decent service, good coffee. Nothing exceptional, nothing that stands out. But it’s conveniently located and the food is okay. The staff is friendly enough, especially to New York City standards. I think they are probably the highlight of this restaurant.

Came here after we visited the ToysRus. Pretty packed. I went for the salad bar, which was totally awesome. There were many toppings as well as a variety of dressings. I was very pleased with my salad. I love how they offer Arugula as a base for the salad.(Its my favorite). The salad was delicious, and pretty cheap too. Will come back the next time i get an opportunity.

Great little place to get some coffee and pastries while in Times Square. There was plenty of seating inside. It wasn’t too rushed or squished together like other Times Square eateries. There was enough room to breathe and move around. The brownies and cookies were really good!

Great place if you’re looking for a reasonably-priced lunch(by New York standards). There are lots of options for both breakfast and dinner, and the staff is pretty nice. The food tastes good, and this location is pretty clean.

We found this place when looking for a wan hot cocoa and a snack — comfortable place. But the waitresses need more training to be friendly and welcoming. Part of it may be a language or culture difference. The good and beverages were exactly what we needed. The service was quick but the waitresses were not welcoming. We noticed the way they treated us and other customers. They made people feel like the customers were bothering them. We will try again another time to see if the experience is the same upon another visit to NYC.

Standard place, maybe a touch expensive. Staff obviously don’t want to be there, but it’s one of those places like pret a manger or Starbucks… No soul.

Not the best, but not bad at all. Tons of pastries and sweets to choose from, super early and late operating hours and central locations throughout nyc.

I like Europa for what it is… it’s convenient, quick and has a decent selection. This has become my go-to for salads when I’m in a rush and don’t have the time for that Chopt line. Plus it’s a bit cheaper, so you can’t go wrong with that! The«choppings» section is pretty decent and usually pretty fresh. Highly recommend the sesame ginger dressing… which is what I always get. They switched from machine chopped to manual chopping… personally I liked the machine better, because it’s finer, but no it’s biggie. The pasta station is decent too! You choose all your ingredients and type of pasta and they make it fresh for you on the spot. The only downside is the stale bread they give you with your meal. I mean common, you could chip a tooth on those suckers! No bueno, but other than that, this place is golden!

One of the best crepes I’ve had! Melt in your mouth good! Seating was a little cramped and service was just okay but that’s what you get in New York City. Overall I loved this place! We would’ve gone back for breakfast a second time of there weren’t so many other yummy breakfast places around to try!

I work in the office building above the café. It’s very convenient for days I forget to bring my lunch. I have picked up a salad, soup or sandwich at least once a week for six years. The staff has always been polite, speedy and helpful, and the café is very clean. Like many cafés in midtown, they offer chopped salads, a variety of ready made sandwiches, hot paninis, pastas, and a rotation of soups. There is a lot of seating upstairs for the tourists who stop in for breakfast and lunch.

Great place with the best chicken soup! It had dill in it and it was unusually flavorful and fresh. I like it better than any non-matzoh ball chicken soup I’ve had at a place like this. Lenny’s is good but traditional chicken soup. The sandwiches are good but not as good as Hale and Hearty for one reason: they’re light on the filling and heavy on the bread. My turkey and brie was very little turkey or brie and a LOT of sourdough(baguette) But if you get the normal bread with the tuna or chicken salad it’s excellent. Very clean and upscale for a place of this kind, but that’s to be expected in this area. I also think Essen is very good. 53rd-58th both on Park(the trucks) and the numbered streets off Mad have wonderful food for under 10 bucks. It’s one of the great things about Manhattan: you have a ton of places to eat at 10 and under which are higher quality than you get in most other more affordable cities. This is the great paradox the New York Times noted in an article about cost of living here. And it’s across from the St. Regis, whose bar is pricey as are all upscale hotels, but worth having a glass of the St Regis cab(and you saved so much on lunch)!
