If your a lover of cheese you have to come here. The décor is great the staff is great and sometimes you might even get a free orchestra playing in the background! Interior: Beautiful! Full of trees, birds and music playing in the background with transparent windows to see the outdoors in midtown. So if you want to «eat outside» but don’t want to be outside then come here! There are plenty of places to sit outside of this mozzarella bar as well. If your wondering where the food is coming from it is downstairs somewhere lol Food: I came here with co-workers and anything with mozzarella here is SOGOOD. The cheese is super soft and the bread in the beginning is great. If your super hungry don’t go here haha but if your trying to stay light and healthy for a meal then yes come here. Overall: Fresh fresh fresh game is on point here. Go here on a summer or spring day and it will be a long lunch because your going to be enamored by your surroundings and by the deliciousness of the food.

My mozzarella sandwich was great! Staff is friendly. Best tip is to take the food«out» and sit at the small tables in the indoor bamboo garden next to the bar.(Real tropical birds singing included)

We were wandering the mid-town area and wanted a light lunch. The hubby remembered«That Mozzarella Bar» he wanted to try. Not being one to say no to fresh mozzarella cheese, I said Sure! We ate at the counter of the mozzarella bar. Seating was tight as I was right next to the cash register, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had: Butternut Squash Soup with Goat Cheese — it was served lukewarm(not sure if that was intentional) and relatively flavorless. The hubby and I added balsamic vinegar to pump up the flavor — we failed miserably Mozzarella Sampler — one piece of fresh mozzarella — needed salt but was tasty; and smoked mozzarella — tasted okay if a bit too salty Eggplant Caponata — I really enjoyed this, it had the right mix of tang and salt. The hubby didn’t like that there were beans in it — he is a bit of a caponata snob. They were also out of burrata which was disappointing. For a mozzarella bar, we expected better mozzarella.

Poor Mellanzane. Very poor pasta dish. They don’t care much about people’s care. It took 30 minutes to get our food. It was all cold. It was good to have found this place in such a busy day, but that doesn’t make it good. I regret coming here. Also, the bathroom is inside the trump building! It’s public and super crowded. Avoid if you can. There is so many great places in NY!!!

This place is a hidden gem. I was surprised. I was trying to find someone near my concert to eat that wasn’t super busy and I could relax. Found it. I had verdicchio glass, burrata with truffles, squash soup, salmon salad, and Americano. Everything was super fresh, the atrium is gorgeous and peaceful, the food was quick and delicious. The burrata is the best I have ever had. Nico was my server and he was very nice and respectful. Def bringing people

I love the idea of mozzarella tastings. I tried the trio. The burrata was good, I’ve had better. The smoked was to smoked for my liking and a very firm texture. The buffalo was downright disgusting. Sour and inedible. Very overpriced. As far as the service fast and professional.

The food is OK and service too, unfortunately the place is invaded by fruit flies and they fly into your drink at all times. So while we were there, at least 4 flies landed in our glasses and that is unacceptable for a place that charges $ 22 for a salad with arugula and smoked salmon. So I would not return here again… Too bad because I am a vegetarian and it would have been great…

I can’t believe I didn’t find this place earlier! Fresh mozzarella is the way to go!!! Fresh tomatoes too. Will come here again and again.

Very good service and very good food. The smoked mozzarella was very good as was the prosciutto. The Veal Milanese was very tender and pounded so thin, I have never seen a veal chop pounded so thin. My wife had the duck with raspberry reduction sauce. The duck was tender but could have had a bit more sauce. The wine the waiter recommended was a great pairing. The tiramisu was okay. The kids had a pizza with prosciutto which was very flavorful. Definitely would go back!

I actually came here about 2 years ago and only just got round to reviewing as I recommended it to a friend visiting NYC. I would 100% go back here. The staff were helpful, funny and friendly towards my sister and I. It was a while back but I know we had a delicious lasagna and one of the salads, both of which were excellent. Not overpriced for its location either. I’ll be back if I get the chance!

Great mozzarella bar and they are perfect at what they do best which is mozzarella. I wish other items on the menu were as amazing as their counterparts in Milan. The tomato with basil is good but could be better and the sauce left me feeling that something was missing. Overall a good lunch place to get away from the midtown craze. The location is beautiful — enclosed by glass walls so there is a lot of great light from outside.

Coffee was average. Food selection wasn’t that good. The corn muffin was dry, the croissant was bland. If you like mozzarella, they’re decent for that.

Yet another café that can’t manage it’s line of customers. People cut in front of you and they just take those customers. Rude when I’m paying $ 7 for breakfast. Lost my business!

Great lunch spot if you like mozarella. We had the classic as well as the buratta with black truffles. On the side we had pomodorini&prosciutto crudo. Everything we had was great although i have had creamier buratta so i would say that was average.

I like the food here, but it’s overpriced. It’s right by where I work, but they recently changed the menu to make some items more expensive. I like how they have good quality cheese, and real burrata, but I think the portions are quite small for how much they cost. However, the staff is really friendly, available, and helpful. I appreciate how they are good at getting you in and out quickly when you’re in a hurry.

Not quite a true restaurant sort of situated in the lobby courtyard of a building but the mozz sampler was delicious. How could you go wrong with a mozzarella focused restaurant? You can’t.

It was a pleasant visit to an old favorite spot from my days when I lived in Milan, Italy. I used to frequent the Fiori Oscuri location 2⁄3 times a week. This location on Madison Ave is a bit of a far cry from the Italian outpost. I was met by a lovely waitress italian girl with a «bowl» haircut. She was super nice and spoke to me in Italian off the bat. I was sat at the bar and asked me for my drinks. Small bottle water, glass of rose. To eat I ordered a burrata with bresaola. It was all very delicious on my dish included 5 slices of bresaola, 4⁄5 olives and a tiny burrata ball over a handful of spinach leaves. Here lies my problem. The burrata was half of the size of the burrata I was used to and for $ 18 I was very disappointed. Rosé by the glass was awful tasting as well $ 10 . Ended my meal with a tiramisu $ 10 which was big but not the best i’ve had. This is subjective obviously but it was a ramequin with 3 lady fingers on the bottom and then cover with tons if cream. Its not Sant Ambreous tiramisu but its half way there. My lunch cost $ 44 pre tax and tip. Not worth it for the tiny burrata. I’ll take my burrata business elsewhere.

4⁄5 as atmosphere a little crowded and loud The food is fantastic! Buffalo mozzarella is quite difficult to find in the states. Not here! Plenty for everyone. All of it melts in your mouth. Enjoy!!!

Cheeeese. And no, I’m not taking a photo. Stopped in here for lunch today(quite by accident) but it was so good! I had the bleu cheese salad with apple and walnuts over spinach with fresh buffala mozzarella, and an iced tea. Obika has this awesome policy where you can add fresh mozzarella to your salad for $ 7. This made my normally $ 13 salad cost $ 20, but it was so worth it to try the fresh stuff. I have to say, even the bleu cheese had an incredible flavor to it and was awesomely fresh. The mozzarella came from large clear containers that resembled the live lobster containers at the supermarket. You can point to a particular ball of fresh mozzarella and have the chef use it to prepare a sandwich, salad, or just layer it with some eggplant or Italian meats. The place was pretty empty considering it was the weekend, but we didn’t mind having some privacy. Especially considering how quickly I polished off that salad. Not sure that’s very lady-like, but when there is fresh mozzarella around I feel like you get a little extra leniency in that department. Especially when its so fresh that water comes out of the cheese when you push down on it with your fork. I’m not sure that the mozzarella and the bleu cheese salad really worked together to create a coherent dish. I did feel like I was just randomly taking bites of a cheese ball in between my already cheesy salad; but it was undoubtedly cheaper to do it that way and still delicious. This really makes me want to take a mozzarella making class, since fresh ingredients really do make all the difference. Obika probably could have just put the cheese on a plate and brought it out to me and I would have been happy. Bring a cheese lover to this place and you’ll surely be their hero.
