so I ordered over the phone because most of the Unilocal reviews were good but I didn’t end up trying it. The second I opened the door, it reeked. it smelled like sweat and I saw the messy kitchen and I didn’t want to even try the food anymore. utterly disappointed. giving it one star because I didn’t actually try the food.

Probably now one of my favorite phở restaurants in the San Fernando valley. My seconds would be phở so 1, which ironically enough actually means phở number 1. Well too bad phở so 1 you’re now #2 in my book. I got the dac Biet which means special. The phở special was awesome! It wasn’t too heavy in msg but it still had a lot more than other type of foods. They gave a healthy serving of noodles and I was happy. They also gave a lot of meet which I really liked. As far as prices go this place is still true to they SFV pricing of phở. It’s one of the cheapest restaurants foods you can find, getting a meal that’s as affordable and more filling than places like McDonald’s. Though these two should never be compared but I did anyways because I hate fast food other than in and out. This place would’ve gotten a 5 star from me only if their workers actually tried a little harder in customer service. It’s become such a norm in phở restaurants that you’ll get great food with the worst possible service. These people will simply not refill your water unless you flag them down. Once you get your food you’re on your own. A shame. We should revolutionize phở restaurants. One day I will see to it that there is one in the SFV(lol jk).

Definitely not worth 4 stars. Unless you have low standards for phở then sure. Went there craving for some just plan phở chin. The service was extremely fast, our orders came 2 mins after we ordered. They give a generous amount of meat which is a plus. The noodles and beef tasted fine. Now for the not so great part– the spoon tasted like soap, I kept trying to wipe It off but the strong taste never went away so I didn’t use a spoon for the entire meal. The soup was very bland, I tried using siracha, lime, etc and it didn’t fix it. Overall: come here for a mediocre bowl of phở but don’t expect much. Prices were very reasonable, $ 7 per bowl. Paid a total of $ 17 for two people with tax. Not bad if you’re on a budget.

It has been said in almost every review for this restaurant but I’ll say it again… what a GREAT value. First time here and had the shrimp and pork spring rolls, which were quite large, and they had the perfect amount of crunch on the inside and flavor. The #12 and #15 phở were ver similar except that #15 had uncooked brisket that cooks in the soup for a few minutes. Both were excellent with lots of noodles. This place does it right; great and fresh food and great prices. Just don’t expect white glove service as this is a small strip mall family restaurant with not much ambiance.

This place is a bargain. My phở arrived at my table in just a minute after ordering. It was hot, flavorful, and generous in size. The spring rolls are stuffed with fillings and satisfying. The staff are very charming and nice, although communication can be challenging. It’s very low-key, in a strip mall, and worth a visit if you are in the area, hungry, and short of time & money.

The owners are so cheap. Don’t expect friendly service. Typical Asian service. With so much competition, I’d rather give my business to more customer centric owners.

I came in here to order a take-out. I was going to dine in, but this place filled up pretty quickly! I got a phở with everything for my boyfriend and one with shrimp for myself. An older gentleman behind the counter was a bit grouchy and disgruntled(he might have grunted at me…) There was really no place to sit down or stand around to wait for your food to come out. However, the food was inexpensive and cam out quickly. I love that they give you tons of bean sprouts, jalapeño slices and Thai basil leaves. The parking lot was tight and crowded, but if you are looking for cheap eats on a cold day, this is a good place.(Eat and leave quickly!)

Not only did we get the wrong order, but the lady was extremely rude like all of this was our fault even to the point that she charged my friend double the amount that she was supposed to pay. What’s worst is that she FOUGHT and ARGUED with our whole group, so rude and by far the most ABSURD dining experience ever. Definitely lost our appetite… Don’t waste your time and energy

We ate today at this phở place and the service was terrible, they gave us the wrong order and gave us an attitude. When paying our bill one of my friend clearly say her order and they bill us more than what we order, and the cashier was very rude, If she is having a bad day she shouldn’t take it out on customers. Taking a video/picture of our group, that just show how unprofessional the cashier was. I would give this place 0 star.

My go to spot for Phở, the best! Be sure to always get a side order of spring rolls and eat them the proper way, wrapped in the lettuce with mint, carrot and vegi’s then dip in their delicious sauce For other entrees I suggest their lemon grass chicken & pork chops, see photo

Phoned in my order for pickup and was ready when I arrived. Ordered the #19(Steak Phở), and order was packed very neatly and arrived home safely. Before I prepared my Phở, I sipped some of the broth and immediately knew I was about to have a bowl of deliciousness. So I began preparing my Phở by adding the fresh herbs, chili sauce, and fish sauce. I let it sit for a minute and then began chopping at it w/my chop sticks. The noodles were so good as I slurped them up, the bean sprouts were crunchy and I enjoyed tasting the basil and green onions. Phở was so good, that I did not leave a single drop. Kudos to the speedy pickup service and kind service given.

I can’t even grade this restaurant !!! This place deserved 0 stars, should be closed for business for good ! By far the WORST Place I’ve ever been too … Starting with their HORRIBLE Customer Service ! Lady in the front taking orders or /receptionist has the worst attitude !! After reading reviews, looks like I’m not the first person to encounter such rudeness !! No matter what customer service is number 1 !! As for the food ! How can this place, put themselves in the Phở Soup Category ?? It’s disgusting ! And My so called fried rice looks Black from them over doing it with soy sauce Never going back to this place again ! I will be reporting them to BBB ! This place should be shut down !

When you’re sick and don’t feel like making hot soup… this is THE place! In and out in under 10 minutes. Mixed Phở with extra soup under $ 10. Super friendly staff and they take credit cards — 10⁄10. This place is Phoking great! ;)

My coworker discovered this place and brought me over for lunch one day and I swear we’ve like eaten here like the last week everyday working our way through all the different dishes on the menu and the phở is off the chain! The crispy egg rolls are seasoned and cooked just right to give you that crunch that you’re looking for and when you wrap them in lettuce and dip them in the sauce… forgedaboutit! The noodles and broth on the chicken phở are the bomb and the grilled chicken with steamed rice is very delicious. They’re fast and attentive and I like that kind of old authentic feel you get in the place. I tell you something else to validate this spot. We’re having lunch there today matter of fact and an old friend who I haven’t seen in years came up to me out of the blue and was like OMG what are you guys doing here?! We’re like us?! What are you doing here?! She’s a high powered entertainment attorney working in Burbank now and she loves this place so much that she drives all the way over here because she’s like I just can’t find phở any place else around the office that’s as good as this place! It was ridiculous! This place brings old friends together. Haha! So parking can be a challenge and I fear even writing about how dope this place is because I want to keep it a hidden gem. Lol… but I look for others to tell me about a good spot on Unilocal when I need one so I’m afraid I must do my civic duty and do the same. Enjoy!

Hidden gem indeed. My husband and I pass by this place all the time. We decided to try it since it was the only phở place that opened at 10. I was surprised on how good it was. First of all the prices were great. Not the normal $ 10 bowl I pay for. Meatball phở– they definitely hooked it up. It was really good. You know it’s good phở when you do not need to put sriracha or hoisen sauce. Eggrolls– fresh. My son ate all 5. The place inside is very clean but kinda dim. Customer service is very good and they’re always willing to help if you can’t decide. No outside seating.

Was in the Valley because of family reunion, and we were craving some phở so we did a quick Unilocal search to see which phở joint was the best bet. Out pops New Phở 999, and off we go. Small joint located in a small little plaza on Sherman Way. Parking is limited but there but going at an off-hour shouldn’t pose any problems. Like all phở places, the food is relatively cheap and quick. Got my usual request of phở tai(phở with rare steak that cooks in the hot broth, like shabu shabu). Like most Asian restaurants, service isn’t the greatest but the people running the place were nice, giving us plenty of mung bean sprouts and raw onions to put in our phở. This could definitely be one of the best phở joints in the Valley.
