Love this place! Order at the counter, and 15 – 20 minutes later they’ll have your pizza hot and ready out of the wood-fired oven.(I use those 15 minutes to browse around the market) Every time I come here, I get their ‘special pizza’, whatever it may be, and have yet to be disappointed! Last time, it was the Kale and Linguica pizza. Great flavor, and very garlicky, which I liked!

We come here pretty frequently – maybe every month or two, generally on a Sunday at lunch time. This place is not only amazingly good, they are consistently so. I can’t ever remember not being happy here. They have wonderful traditional(neapolitan style – not NY) pizza, and then some really tasty innovative pizzas in the same vein. The hummus pizza is amazing, for instance: it has just the right balance of nutty crunch(from the almonds and pecans), creamy hummus, and tart/spicy notes. They also have nice specials every day – always something new. Though the specials often include meat, they typically have a very satisfying vegetarian version too. I should note that I much prefer their white crust over their whole wheat crust, so I tend to ask for the white even on the(few) pizzas that they recommend with whole wheat. Also worth noting – the fresh sodas(orange w/mint, lemon w/basil) are very refreshing on a hot day! Overall, I absolutely love this place.

TL;DR: mediocre oven-fired pizza at best, and probably on par with pizza I’ve had from a box or the wood fired pizza in my college’s dining hall. I feel like I overpaid. Food: every other review raved about the hummus pizza, so I got that. My middle school brother had the 6″ cheese pizza, which, as small as it sounds, was actually about the ¾ the size of mine but only cost $ 5. The kids’ options are limited to cheese and ham, but I would recommend those who find the personal pizzas a bit big to try the kid size. I got there at a relatively busy time and was quoted a 20 minute wait, but our pizzas came out in about 8 minutes. Maybe that explains why both were lukewarm, like they’d been sitting around already cooked and were just brought out. My hummus pizza was very, very mediocre. The nuts and hummus were a nice combination, but there was nothing complex or special about the flavor. It was as if I had gotten hummus from a nice grocery store, spread it on a toasted whole wheat crust and chopped up some almonds on top. As a result, the pizza as a whole was pretty dry; some other reviews have photos of hummus pizza with olive oil on top, so maybe that’s what I was missing. Together, my pizza had the combined flavor of, well, hummus and bread with occasional bites of nuts. I took some of my little brother’s cheese pizza because it was warmer and more savory than mine, and it was also just ok. As comparison, I bought myself a three cheese thin crust pizza the other night and baked it in the oven for 15 minutes and ate it. When I think back on that pizza vs the one my brother had, I vastly preferred the boxed to the one from Bella. For the two pizzas, I paid almost $ 16, but probably would have been better off staying home and baking my own thin crust from a grocery store.

A great place at the Farmers Market! The pizzas are made with fresh ingredients right in front of you, and they offer plenty of different combinations. The wood-fired pizza takes a little time, but it’s well worth the wait!

Can you marry a pizza? Because it’s that good. Nearly every time I’m at the farmer’s market for lunch I eat at Bella Nashville. Even when I’ve talked myself into trying one of the other undoubtedly great establishments. Pizza. That is all.

We came to the Farmers Market for Volkfest(huge disappointment) and ended up wanting to eat inside. I have heard and read awesome things about Bella but rarely go to the Market so never tried it. We ordered a TN Ham pizza — it was like a margarita with prosciutto. And it was great! Crunchy and thin, but not over done. Topped with olive oil, sea salt and fresh basil. We would definetly come back. It was fun to sit and watch them make & bake them in the oven.

Bella Nashville seems like a good place for my 1000th review on Unilocal. I didn’t get to fully enjoy the pizza, as I wasn’t feeling well, but i still thoroughly enjoyed the couple pieces of margherita that I tasted. The meat looked even better. They make all their ingredients fresh, and then cook it in a big wood-fired oven right in front of you. The staff is pretty friendly. They need a better notification system than just yelling and hoping you’re standing nearby when you pie is done.

The pizza was good I would have choosen a different one but I was sharing. If hungry one is good for one person. We got the one with country ham on it which was very salty but hey its country ham. The crust, cheese and sauce were top notch. The toppings were plenty it just wasnt my favorite. The orange soda tasted more like juice than soda. It was good but I was expecting more of a fizz.

Yes it is seriously good, had a last minute margarita 20 mins before they closed no line, no fuss, no capers… I have to have capers. Pablo says best pizza in Nashville. I think for sure it’s close, the bloomy rind cheese quality deffo takes it up a notch… super friendly, but oh I needed my capers and that pesky indian market did not have them. $ 9 a bargain but next time I will splurge and put too soft eggs on top for luxury and extra moistness.

Bella Nashville is(almost) always great! I highly recommend their Margarita or Hummus pizza. Most all of their specialty pizzas are very good. I have had a few misses on these though. I personally find the crust to be a bit«sourdoughy,» but it is always a perfect consistency. The pizza is a bit expensive, hence the four instead of five stars.

Great idea, but poorly implemented. I love wood fire pizza! It is a true treat, but Bella gets their ovens way too hot and burns the crust. Their response was it is suppose to be that way. I am no expert, yet I have never had it like that. I do not think I will be visiting them again

The product here is good enough to deserve it’s own stand alone restaurant, but for reasons I can’t guess at it’s tucked away in a somewhat cramped corner of the Farmer’s Market building. Bella cooks a very respectable pizza in a wood fired oven right on front of you. Affordable too; aside from a couple of specialty signature pies, every pizza on the menu is ten bucks and under. The sauce is some simple, no frills crushed tomatoes with hints of garlic, but nothing to eclipse the flavor of the fresh, fantastic tomatoes themselves. Cheese appears to be respectable domestic mozzarella. The basil is cut from their glass jar herb garden on demand. All this together makes for a great tasting pizza. The list of sides was short but attractive, however I didn’t try them; the lemon soda is from sparkling water and lemon flavoring made fresh in the store daily, and it’s pretty damn nice. The service is friendly enough, although be prepared to wait a good fifteen minutes as they obviously make each pizza fresh.

I was at the Nashville Farmers Market and decided to get some lunch. Usually there’s always a line at Bella. This time there wasn’t so I decided to jump at the opportunity. You order at the side of the little stand. I ordered the«meat» pizza for 10 bucks. The meat pizza is a thin crust pizza with thinly shaved country ham, basil, mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. There wasn’t much of line but I guess they had a order back up. I was told it would be about 15 – 20 minutes. It ended up being 15 minutes, not bad for a great pizza. They’ve got a huge wood-burning brick oven where the pizzas are made. The meat pizza is cooked with just the sauce and cheese, then the thinly shaved country ham and basil is placed on the pizza. The pizza is large, I’m not sure of the inchage, but it’s big. However it’s very thin, thin crust, light sauce, light cheese. I had no issue finishing the whole pizza by myself. It tastes very fresh, I’d like a little more cheese, but I love cheese. If you’re in the market and looking for a great meal, Bella is where it’s at.

My friends have raved about this place and they were really excited to go there today after church. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the English Breakfast Black Tea. I was slightly disappointed by my pizza because it was super salty. Everything else about it was great, the crust and all but the extreme saltiness was a bit of a downer. Staff was extremely friendly and service took only about 10 minutes, so I think I’d give it another try or try a different pizza.

Stopped in here Saturday morning for a snack. They make their own lemon and orange sodas, and I can verify that the lemon one is quite delicious. Me and the man split the MEAT personal pizza(9″) as a snack, made with lots of local ingredients. No regrets. I’d stop back here for sure!

Great wood-oven pizza. You’re definitely getting more than your money’s worth. The staff is friendly and obviously have a passion for making delicious pizzas. I highly recommend this place. The margherita pizza is absolutely fantastic. The pizzas are the perfect individual size, so you’ll be full as well.

The pizza is so fresh and made right in front of you! Add a farm egg to your pizza, it’s the best, you won’t regret it! I also love the burnt taste of the crust, adds a unique flavor. The basil lemon soda was amazing, tart, bubbly, and not too sweet, just how I like it. My only complaint is the basket they serve the pizza in had a terrible smell(probably from being used over and over again, without washing or cleaning). I had to take my pizza out immediately and toss the basket aside.

We had margarita pizza at the farmers market. I was shocked to see there was a wood oven right there — very cool! They have a few choices for pizza and you can add additional toppings if you want. There’s a cute«bar» you can sit at and watch the guys and gals cook. Try the housemade soda — I had lemon basil. Delish!

Best pizza in Nashville, hands down. I always get the margherita pizza with added roasted garlic and the lemon soda and I’ve never been let down. The pizza is always perfect cooked and I’m usually not a big eater but I take down this entire pizza, crust and all. It’s fun to watch them build your pizza from dough up. And the lemon soda… I could live on this drink alone. It’s an amazingly refreshing carbonated lemon drink with fresh basil in it. Everything about this place is amazing!

There’s no shame in my game: I eat lunch at Bella Nashville at least once a month. It’s typically my only lunch not spent at my desk, and I keep going back. I don’t care for their tea options, but that’s because I prefer cold tea to be sweet. Instead, I get their(free) filtered water and either the Margherita pizza or their special, which they Facebook and tweet at the start of the week. Last week, it included ramps, which I’d never had before. Service is slow, but you can see why: They make the pizza right in front of you in their wood oven. I like sitting at the counter and pretending to read my book or look at my phone while instead I eavesdrop on the cooks. In the winter, the sweet spot is dead center at the counter, across from the warm oven. Their pizza crust is delicious — I haven’t made it to their bakery in East Nashville, but the pizza tells me they have skills — and I love a wood-oven pizza. Because it’s so thin and light(how often can you describe pizza as light?), I can eat a whole personal pizza in one sitting and not feel stuffed. Their payment system remembers your credit card so you don’t have to carry a frequent patron card. Once you purchase 10 pizzas, you get a free pie.
