This place has really fallen off. Not only did they get my order wrong but apparently you only get 2 slices of measly bacon on a bacon, egg and cheese. Used to love this place. Never going back.

Had an italiano panini its was off the hook. Card minimum is 10. I would definitely come back for a bagel.

Weekend morning bagels for me are just my thing I do. I love having a bacon egg and cheddar on a whole wheat everything with a coffee and a Yoo-hoo. While this place may not have the ambiance of some niche brunch place, it does bagel sandwiches very well. If you’re in the search for a bagel sandwich this is a good spot to check out. Yes the did get me the wrong type of bagel(I asked for whole wheat everything, they gave me whole wheat plain) the quality was very damn tasty! Also my friend ordered an Italiano panini and he rated the quality highly as well. So you need a bagel sandwich? Looking for a panini? This is the spot.

I agree with another user on here, people are being way too harsh. I live in the area have gone many times for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel & find them to be delightful! Great spot for a yummy, quick, BEC at a cheap price. I would 100% recommend and their bagels are made fresh daily.

Bagels are ok but services is a little slow in morning if you need to get on the road and get to work give yourself extra time that don’t rush.

Good place for bagels. but stay away from their sandwiches at least the chicken cutlet sandwich. It was so thin and dry… I couldn’t believe that was their idea of a chicken cutlet.

Ordered pick-up from here and everything was really great! I just wish the taylor ham was more well done(I requested it to be). I got there about 15 minutes after placing my order and it was ready when I arrived. Will defintely order from here again.

Ordered through grub hub today. It took them 3 hours to deliver my food. I wasn’t going to complain but that really irked me. But as far as the food they’re fine. Decent bagels but they seem to be out of what they have on the menu.

I have ate here in person many times. Not the best but decent enough to grab a quick bagel. But I ordered for delivery online. It took them a half an hour to call and tell me they had no beef sausage and another half an hour to tell me that they didn’t have the bagels I ask for. Mind you I ordered right when they opened, I know it is not a busy place, and they have no blueberry, onion, or garlic bagels in less than an hour. Delivery time was estimated at 45 – 60 mins… I am assuming it will take another 30 minutes for them to finish this simple order!

I live very close and occasionally go here to pick up breakfast or lunch. The food is good and the prices are cheap. If you are just looking to pick up a quick, well made, inexpensive breakfast sandwich or sandwich/salad/wrap for lunch go here, really nothing fancy.

Thought I was going in to get a delicious bagel when I took a bite it was so stale I could literally knock on it. These are not fresh bagels

Maybe I have high expectations for bagel shops in the area, but Royal Bagel & Deli fell short. First, they got my order completely wrong. And then when I tried to correct the person, she did not understand what I was saying. For a holiday weekend, they moved extremely slow. Our 2 bagel order took at least 15 minutes, when it should of been a lot quicker. More and more people came in as we were waiting for our bagels and they did not seem like they had a smart organization system for handling customers and orders. For all the vegetarians out there, they also cross contaminated their spatulas for eggs/meat. Their kitchen stove is in plain sight for everyone to see and they used the same spatula for meat and eggs. I’ll definitely be going back to my other favorite Montclair bagel shops.

Their taylor ham egg and cheese is to die for. I go there once a week with my friend and they already know our order when we walk in. It’s fast pace and never takes more than a few minutes for our food to be ready. I would recommend this to any one in the mood for a nice breakfast sandwich.

Wife and I stopped here for bagels today. Although they looked like bagels, they tasted like plastic. Arguably a small step above frozen bagels found in a grocery store, but these are among the worst bagels I’ve ever had. We did not try anything else so this review is limited to their bagel offerings. Come to think of it I have actually had worse bagels, but these were nevertheless terrible.

I think other reviewers have been too harsh to judge. this place makes some of the best wraps I’ve known. in fact, I grab a BLT avocado wrap every time I stop by. if you get to know the owners well enough, you’ll find them very kind and accommodating. yes the wait for the sandwich is quite long but that doesn’t deter me from rewarding them 5 stars. rating them with 2 is a tad bad extreme and unnecessary.

When I want to go on a walk but don’t feel like walking all the way to my favorite, Hot Bagels Abroad, I come here. I find that they are sometimes out of bagels and I don’t really find anything special about this place. The staff is okay but I think that they take a little longer to make hot food. The location is good if you are walking on the Avenue or if you need to catch a bus but unfortunately, my heart will remain with Hot Bagels.

Got a Charlie Wrap the other morning. Plenty of taylor ham, eggs, and garlicky home fries. I had them add hot sauce, and I loved every bite. Home fries could have been a bit crispier, as they lacked any real crust, and I had to wait a little longer than I would have expected. However, for $ 5, it was well worth it!

Stop here in the morning on my way home from work. The bagels are fresh and big. Not a fan of the coffee though. Have had wraps here as well, very good.

Been in there a couple of times. Orders always wrong. Quality is very poor. They always try to cheat me out of money and pretend they don’t understand when I correct them. The deli case looks disgusting with all of those mayonnaise-based salads glazing over from age. If you happen to be wallpapering your house, order the salads to use as glue. Big space inside to sit, but doesn’t offset the problems. Pros: 1) Its cheap 2) A side order of food poisoning is free with all orders. Epic fail…

I haven’t tried the bagels, but my girlfriend went and picked us up breakfast one day including a «Bacon Egg & Cheese Omelet» and a «Bacon Egg & Cheese Sandwich on a Hard Roll with Salt Pepper and Ketchup.» There was no salt, pepper, or ketchup on the sandwich, the omelet was fluff-free scrambled eggs with bacon thrown in the middle and they may have used MAYBE half a slice of thinly sliced American cheese total between the two items. I will never go back to this place. If you’re not going to do things right, leave them off your menu. There is no excuse for the quality of food we received. None. I could make better food when I was ten than these people made as a matter of business.
