Went hear twice, first time it was a bad experience based on rudeness this time I got a bug in my drink. I told the man and he said ok, then he went on to saying the bug was mints and that’s what they use, but it wasn’t a minty drink it was fruity and the bug had wings. I decided not to eat here. He wasn’t rude but that turned me off completely.

I’ve been here many times and the hookahs are great, it’s BYOB, and it’s in a good town. The food is delicious! We always order the seafood mariscada in both red and white sauce and it’s amazing. Coming from the serving industry, their staff can use a little more training and use more attention to detail. For example, when we order the mariscada– a serving spoon, shell plate, and shell cracker would be ideal(they forget 10⁄10 times. This would be a 5star place if they work on a few things like that :)

A WALLFELLDOWN(LITERALLY)! Worst hookah bar ever. The service was atrocious. They messed everything up and continued to find new and creative ways to screw up. It took almost 30 minutes for us to receive the hookah order-meanwhile there were plenty of free staff around who chose to overtly flirt with the patrons about 10 feet from us rather than help. The hookah finally arrives and they set us on fire by dropping a hot coal on us. They needed to pour a pitcher of water on us. In the middle of smoking hookah, I heard another customer yell a wall is falling down and asking the staff for help-which they either ignored or missed because of their flirting with the patrons. Sure enough, the wall literally falls and collapses in the bar!!! It was so laughable that I took a photograph of the staff trying to put the wall back up. In addition, watch out for various tricks they use to make you pay more money. When you look at the menu to order hookah the only ones they show are the specialty ones which cost considerably more than individual flavors(which are not shown on the menu). Waiters also push on you that you need to add a fruit rind to improve the taste. This isn’t necessarily true and adds an additional $ 5 more. Finally, watch out for the mandatory 20% tip shown in very fine print on the menu. No staff mentions it. After all, they need to be compensated for the time they spend flirting, propping up walls, and starting fires. In conclusion, DONOT go here ever! I never write reviews but made an account just to blast this piece of garbage.

Ordered hummus and oil is stale and no seasonings used — literally tastes like I’m eating nothing… bunch of obnoxious college kids around loud and annoying… wait staff young inexperienced with making hookahs and have a «don’t care» attitude– would rather flirt and chat than pay attention to customers. For a $ 25 hookah go to Paterson, this place is no where near the quality level you’ll find in Paterson. First and last time coming here

Just came here for the first time last night. We were a fairly large group, and had the best time! We were jerks and lost track of time, so we definitely overstayed our welcome, until 1am(they close at midnight). They were super nice and patient. Their tabouli salad was the best I’ve ever had from outside(of my family). I’m middle eastern so I’m super critical and always disappointed. The hookahs were fine too. Great food, great atmosphere, what more could you want?

If I could give no stars I would. This place sucks. The hookah is trash and not made well. Legit tastes like pure coal. The food was bland. And the service was HORRIBLE. They screwed my check up and overcharged us by $ 20. We tried to fight it but supposedly nothing could be done. Complete bullshit. & I don’t understand why they would include 20% tip to your check when the servers are nowhere to be found. This place sucks. Don’t go here. Absolutely no Mediterranean people inside this entire building. Why? I don’t fucking get it. How is this still in business. This place sucks. Don’t go here. Please.

I actually recently came for the hookah bar with some friends. It was fun but I realized after I got there that I actually went to this place before on a date on Valentine’s Day. It was really good then too. I remember enjoying my food. Hookah was pretty standard. Expectations were met. I’d go again. Kinda expensive but was nice.

Great place. Very relaxing. there’s a really quiet room in the front and in the back there’s hooka rooms with low sound music. The food is so delicious and the hookahs are just perfect. It’s byob!

Decent food, good hookah, fun outdoor atmosphere. The way the outside is set up reminded me of little cafes in Europe, with a courtyard and gate that overlooked the street. Service was very attentive.

I was modeling for a photoshoot, which involved long takes and driving around all of New York and New Jersey, and this is a local restaurant that my photographer’s friend likes. I had never been to this part of town, and I love Mediterranean food so I was eager to try it out. I always have a dilemma at Mediterranean/middle eastern places; falafel or no falafel. I am a falafel feen and love to try falafel anywhere I go. This time, I asked one of the servers which was better; the falafel or the mutabal appetizer. Mutabal is basically an eggplant purée. The server had no idea which one was better, so I took a risk and ordered the Mutabal. The BYOB concept was pretty cool, so we got some wine from a nearby store. Everyone else ordered lamb kebabs, chicken and rice, and penne ala vodka. We were given some light appetizer dishes; some olives, pickled veggies, and pita bread, which was pretty good. When the food arrived, I was surprised at how small the appetizer portion was. I was a little disappointed I didn’t order the falafel, but I wasn’t super hungry so I was ok. I tried some of everyone else’s food, and it was kind of mediocre. In a small town, it’s a frequented place because it’s open the latest. Not bad considering that, but I think this was a one time spot.

I decided to try this place despite the mixed reviews on Unilocal. It ended up living up to its expectations. The servers were nice, but very absent. We had to go looking for them several times. The food was basic. I liked the artichoke special appetizer and the garlic sauce for my chicken kebabs. Other than that, the meat was plain and there was too much rice. My friend’s lamb kebab was a bit chewy. Overall 3 stars.

Giving this place three stars due to the fact it was BYO and the staff was REALLY friendly and did everything they could to make our experience as best as it could be. Décor is nice as well. –Food is pretty PRICY for what it really is worth. Tasted good and all that but 16 $ for a small platter is not worth it. –Personally I’m big on hookah and love a nice relax place to smoke and socialize with friends… BUT hookah here is not good at all… The quality is very cheap and price for a hookah is also very expensive. 16 $ and extra 5 bucks for a fruit head… I got a grapefruit head and it didn’t last long at all. Overall, I don’t think they have much knowledge on hookah at all and could def use some help in that sense. They use cheap«made in China» hookahs and very cheap coals that ash out really fast. –I would come back here for food and enjoy the relax atmosphere, As I was impressed By that. But for hookah you’re better off in clifton or south paterson

The décor is amazing, the service is good very big place but it still feels cozy for a good date night, it’s BYOB and it’s a nice LQ across the street with an amazing wine selection… The food was amazing from apps to the main course the hookah flavor was good but it didn’t last long…

Service was super slow. Came here for a work dinner after a team building exercise. The restaurant is decorated much like other Arabic restaurants I’ve been to. The hookah section is separate from where we sat so I did not get to smoke any hookah. We ordered a number of appetizers, including hummus, kibbeh, sujuk, and falafel. All were pretty good. For my entrée, I got the half chicken with rice. Thankfully, it wasn’t overcooked. But it did take a very long time between appetizers and our entrees. Our conversation eventually just turned to how hungry we were and how long our food was taking.

4.5 stars. Everyone who works here is really friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Really attentive, excellent customer service. Their food is also fabulous– I can’t resist their Fried Kibba appetizer. I always order that to carry out, if I’m already full. I would give 5 stars, but the inside hookah area is a little dark — the non-smoking area of the restaurant is really nice though.

This place is a little odd. It is split up into three different sections. The hookah here was actually pretty good, but it didn’t really give you that hookah club feel. The hummus here was the best I have ever had! The people that work here are also really friendly. It is BYOB but there is a liquor store across the street that will walk it over for you. There is a nicer restaurant in the front part of it. The dessert we had was an old piece of store bought crappy cake. I might go back here, not sure. Definitely not anything too special though.

The low ratings appear to be more about the hookahs than the food. The mariscada, shrimp Tripoli, shrimp tartous and kebabs are all reasonably priced, very good, large portions. The chopped Mediterranean salad is very good. Lots of good good spices, cilantro and lemon are used here. The patio is very peaceful and comfortable. Service is very eager to please. BYO is a nice bonus.

This place always surprises me with its excellent cuisine, and the specials are always delicious and different. Small improvements hand gone a long way to make this my favorite hookah spot in NJ. Servers give great recommendations on food and hookah, and don’t mind going the extra mile… Just ask!

I’m really surprised this place only has a 2.5 Unilocal average rating. I’ve only been here once when I had a Groupon deal. The food was awesome. The only thing I didn’t like was the baklava. It was almost inedible. The service was decent. The atmosphere was pretty nice and just had the right amount of exoticness for this type of place. The 4-star rating is mainly for the food not the hookah. The hookah was okay. They have a big enough room right at the back for hookah and a petite lounge room that could only fit about 10 people. So chances are you’ll be seated at one of the regular, boring tables with boring chairs. I would definitely come back for the food.
