Had an absolutely amazing experience hosting my Dad’s SURPRISE60th birthday party at The Alamo this past weekend. My Dad and Stepmom have been going here for years, so it was a no brainer that this would be the perfect location for his surprise party. My Stepmom handled all the logistics of arrangements with the restaurant, and myself, my sister, and brother-in-law came over early to get everything set up. From the time we set foot in The Alamo to the time we stepped out, it was an all around awesome time! Ann and Fred are so sweet and caring, they really wanted to make sure everything went on without a hitch. While we were setting up, Ann and other servers checked on us several times, helping us where needed and bringing us drinks and some delicious chips and salsa! We had the upstairs lounge which was the perfect size for our group of about 25 people. Fred was right there with us once the party started, pouring margaritas and singing happy birthday. There was a younger dude who was manning the bar most of the time(I’m sorry I never caught his name!) and he was fabulous as well, and made sure everyone got their meals and whatnot. The food was great! I had the rellenos — one chicken and one beef. Packed the heat I was looking for. I really really loved the salsa that we had with the chips throughout the day as well. Oh and those chambord margaritas… yum! Thank you so much for a fabulous day! Your wonderful staff was the icing on the birthday cake… err, cupcakes! We were so surprised at how seamless this all was, Fred and Ann made planning this event super easy and their hospitality was downright fabulous! The Alamo already had a special place in my Dad and Stepmom’s hearts, but now we can all remember this day and smile :)

this place seems to not be getting any better. We used to love to come eat here every weekend. I dont know if the cooks have changed but I really want it to go back to the way it was. Drinks are still really good and its better than the margaritas chains.

Friendly place. Great food and reasonably priced. The margaritas offer a wide variety of flavors and are extremely tasty.

Great Mexican food at Great prices, my girlfriend is from Texas and this is the only Mexican place she’s wanted to go back to… Although atmosphere could use a little bump and the upstairs bar is going to waste… Few more TVs and something to do up there would be cool… All and all well worth it

My husband the Bacon Prince and I had enjoyed this place a few years ago. What happened? ?? Went there on a Thursday night with a girlfriend for a quick bite while shopping. We each had the tacos with chicken/steak. Food was bland — how can a spicy steak taco be bland!!! We did not finish our meals and neither of us will go back.

Hard to find patio seating in Massachusetts, we stopped here to try it. The experience wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The patio consisted of picnic tables and several very loud, very drunk women that were constantly smoking. The patio area is right next to a fairly busy road with just a split rail fence separating us. The entrees and drinks were good, the guacamole was out of a jar. It’s not hard to find Mexican restaurants, I don’t think I would go out of my way for this one.

Went there for drinks and dinner with a friend tonight and left unimpressed. The food was a step up from Denny’s at best and the atmosphere was bland at best. I had higher expectations as I have been passing by this place for many years and it has been open for years. Have the Chicken Mole and it was not good. My friend had the enchiladas which he said was«ehhh». The beer selection was not bad so that is a good thing.

Back in Milford on business again and has to go back here. Had just a bowl of their homemade chili and I am here to tell you it is AWESOME. Nice beefy flavor and a heat that just builds as you go. Whatever he is doing with this is in my opinion near perfect chili.

Very little can be said that’s positive about this place. The server was pleasant, that’s about it. The fact that it was a ghost town at prime time on Friday night should have been a red flag. The menu looked typical with decent prices. The chips and salsa are usually a good indicator of the quality of restaurant. These arrived quickly, but had the taste of old oil, salsa was forgettable. The food arrived in a similarly quick fashion. The rice was cold, in clumps and tasteless. What passed for refried beans were equally cold and tasted weird. The shredded chicken and beef weren’t bad, but cold as well. On an upside, my Pacifico was cold to. I have had Mexican in many places in this area, as well all around SoCal. While not an expert, I know what passes for quality food. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. Travel further down 495 to Fiestas in Norton. Best Mexican I’ve had outside of San Diego county.

I don’t understand how anyone can enjoy their food after what I just experienced with my takeout. The beans had no salt, the rice had a weird flavor that deterred me from eating it, and the chips were greasy and soggy. Absolutely not authentic Mexican, and absolutely not even mediocre Mexican. I will not return, I’m better off at Taco Bell.

Went here on a whim on Columbus day because the girlfriend had a deep-seated desire for mexican food(she comes from southern california.) Needless to say she was happy with the outcome. They served tortilla chips for free to start and that was tasty — the salsa they served was great too, had a nice kick. We shared the alamo nachos appetizer(which was awesome!) and I got the Davey Crockett burger with cheddar and chili. Excellent food, friendly service, will be coming back again when we are in the area. Also, they were VERY accommodating to my girlfriend’s allergy to cilantro, and even brought out the ingredient lists for everything they had in the restaurant. Grade A right there.

I love this place. My whole family loves this place. We’ve been coming for several years. The fajitas are fantastic but my favorite is the chimichanga. Prices are great. The service is fantastic and friendly and the owner is there walking the floor most nights making sure everything is perfect. It always is.

Food: 3 stars Service: 2.5 stars Atmosphere & Cleanliness: 2 stars Parking: 3 stars I hadn’t been here in about 10 years, so I guess I was expecting it to be like it was 10 years ago.(It was, which turned out to be a mixed blessing.) The food was still good(I ordered a taco salad with shredded beef. The serving size was large and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The free chips and salsa were decent; the salsa was a little spicy but good. The iced tea had no flavor and tasted like colored water.) Unfortunately, the décor in the place hadn’t changed one bit. It was dingy, worn and dated looking. The woman who seated us seemed bored out of her brains(we were the only ones there, only car in the parking lot, around 3pm on a Wednesday, so fair enough I guess.) There is plenty of parking, which is good. Our server was a young kid who looked like he may have been a family member of the owners. His name was Travis, I believe, and he was really great. If it were just for him and the food, I’d give 4 stars. But the attitude of the other person(hostess, maybe a server too) and how she spoke to this kid, detracted from the overall service experience. Two things: Avoid the bathroom if at all possible, and if you drip anything on yourself, whatever you do, don’t use one of their maroon paper napkins to wipe it off — the color transfers onto your clothing, making the stain maroon. Eek. If the owners would clean this place from top to bottom, renovate the insides and pep up the wait staff, they could make it into something great again.

I’ve been coming here since they’ve opened… to say I was disappointed today would be an understatement… I ordered the chicken fajitas they were tasteless, the vegetables were undercooked and the chicken looked like a mix of white and dark meat… the cheese looked and tasted like shredded velveta… won’t be back anytime soon!

The past few times I’ve been here we’ve had to send the drinks back for having hair/flies frozen within the ice cubes. The staff is really sweet but, I’d rather not have hairy margaritas. I sadly won’t be returning.

Friendly staff in the midst of what appears to be the lunch rush. Unfortunately the food is mediocre. Salsa tastes canned and oddly sweet. Ordered lunch tamales; the beans and tamales were quite greasy. The rice actually tasted fresh and had good flavor. Won’t come here again based on today’s outcome.

Our go to place for good mexican in this area. It’s nothing fancy but I like that. It’s just good, authentic, mexican food. THEIRNACHOSAREAMAZING! We get them to start every single time. Their prices are fair and we are always surprised our bill isn’t higher at the end of the night! I usually get enchiladas but recently tried their ‘tortizza’ and loved it! like an open faced quesadilla! We’re regulars and always know where t satisfy our mexican food craving!

It’s a shame 1 star is the lowest rating you can give, because The Alamo has gone above and beyond in regards to shit service and even shittier food. We followed the highway signs, psyched to try out a new Mexican place. We got there prime time on a Saturday night and immediately found a front row parking space. This was the first omen. The second omen came in form of rubber chips greasier than a pornstar’s bungalow and salsa of unidentifiable color, but at least there were glasses full of dishwater to wash the the unchewable mass down with. Main course arrived, I don’t know where, but it wasn’t at our table. In the plate-bowl, which was a real pain in the ass to use a fork on, was some sort of spores and mold foreign to this planet, wrapped in an unpenetratable, armadillo like shell of what I think was bread at one point. The fish tasted like month old cat dish scrapings fried in wrung out sponge water. There was a valient effort to slay the rice clumps with a knife, but such a daunting task would require energy from nutrition. Sadly, the«rice» won. There was very minimal effort on the wait staff and kitchen. The food looked thrown together and unappetizing and it tasted, at what I can only imagine is slightly above prison standards. The orders were all messed up and the waitress was in no hurry to send them back to the kitchen or even take the wretched rice off the bill. I can’t wait to shit this poison from my body and am sure it will be a more pleasant experience than dining at the Ala-NO.

There’s better Mexican in Milford. If you want beeahs and shootahs, this’ll do. If you want nachos with loads of cheese, this’ll do. This is not authentic Tex-Mex or even a rough facsimile. In fact, my burrito was swimming in oil and drowning in cheese. Everything tasted like garlic. I’d give it another shot, if it didn’t take 45 minutes to get my food. The place could use a good scrubbing. Let’s be blunt: it’s dirty. Ripped seats, stained carpets, and filthy bathrooms. Imagine what the kitchen looks like.

Serious competition in Milford, MA for Mexican food which is great for us as customers(quality and price)! My pick is The Alamo, the staff is so friendly, lots of happy faces and the owner(Steve?) is very involved and always seems to be there helping out his staff. The owner served in the armed forces and offers discounted prices for vets and active service members. The facility is authentic, very kid friendly and food is awesome! Awesome murals, paintings and authentic pictures, its an experience. My favorite dishes are Chimichangas and Uncle Billy’s BBQ Beefwich. The kids menu is legit and a bargain. Great for phone orders! I am pretty picky(food allergies too) and often times ask to not include certain things IE onions, certain sauces and they always come through. Highly recommend! Convenient location right off 495
