I love Starbucks but I do have a love hate relationship with this particular location. There are time the baristas are just plain rude and unprofessional. Fortunately today was not the case. The young lady was helpful, kind and welcoming. Despite being one of two baristas during a busy period. Very much appreciated! The location is going through a facelift not that it needed it, but I looking much better than I could imagine it. It is my local Starbucks so I do continue to go but seriously just be prepared to deal with rude baristas every now and then.

Love getting my coffee here. Service is fast and everyone is so friendly. Look forward every morning to start my day. Thank you Starbucks. On a hot day I can’t resist the passion tea. Even got my daughter hooked on the passion tea!

I’ve been going to this location for at least five years and it is by far my favorite Starbucks. I am always warmly welcomed here by the baristas and seating is always available in contrast to the perpetually crowded Palo Alto University Avenue store. The service is always friendly and prompt — they try to work faster when a line forms by taking orders from people in line. This store is in a complex of fast food restaurants at the corner of Willow and Hamilton Streets and I have never had much difficulty finding parking. It’s frequented by techie types most likely from Facebook next door and it recently underwent renovations; the furniture and interior have been revamped and upgraded. The power sockets also have USB charging plugs.

Not sure why they had just one person on a register. A guy was paying on an iPhone and it slowed everything down. I left and returned about 5 minutes later. Same thing, lady was paying on her iPhone and the line was stalled. If they had another person on a register at 8:15 a.m., that would actually be a very smart idea. I walked out a second time and went to Jack in the Box. There are only two places to get coffee in that center. I might want to open up another coffee shop to give it some competition.

I have been to this location twice and both times was extremely dissapointed. I used to work at Starbucks and the employees at this location are not well representing the brand. Both times I have visited this location they were busy and several people waiting on drinks. However, only one person is making drinks while two other employees are just standing around with nothing to do. Even though your job may be to work the register, you can also help to poor an iced coffee or assist your baristas to speed up the wait time. Don’t just stand there and look bored when people are waiting on drinks. The baristas are not friendly, at least the ones working when I have been there. Will not be going to this location anymore.

This was a great Starbucks. The people here were friendly and the place was clean. My order was taken almost immediately and received it within 5 minutes. The baristas were professional and made the drinks without being rushed like most other Starbucks. The atmosphere was cozy and they had comfortable chairs. The only downside was parking. Parking here was hard to find. If I could come back here again, I would. I wish this Starbucks was located near where I live.

Better-than-average Starbucks, with a responsive and friendly team. The relatively small ordering area means that even when an apparently longer queue builds, folks get helped quickly. More than about seven people in line start to leak out the door. At Starbucks, unlike the faddish SF eateries, a long line actually DISsuades further customers. Location tends to be crammed with Facebookies at lunchtime. They don’t bite! Not busy for breakfast. Can be empty in afternoons. Despite the Zillions of commuters daily passing by this store on Bayshore, this location gets less business than one might expect. Major employer nearby is Facebook [Fb], with a dearth of other businesses to date. That may change when the new Fb Hq, currently(May 2015) under construction, opens. Restroom count: ONE.

This was such a cute Starbucks. Today was my first visit and it will not be my last. I’ve gone to the Starbucks a little up the road and they were average. This one, however, was very fast, efficient, and friendly. On top of that, my normal order was exactly how I like it. Great job to the guys that worked this morning(4⁄15) around 8am! I will be back :-)

Usually I come here 3 days at week, but today I feel sorry about this guys, 2 guys only with a big line out the door, finally the manager came out and help after 15 mnts. 5 stars just because the only cashier and the only barista, looks like the need more staff. But they made it… yeeeeahh

I always get my coffee either at this location or from down town palo alto. For some reason today’s pumpkin spice latte that i got was not the best. I usually have Alan Garcia make it but unfortunately he wasn’t working. I felt that my order was rushed and I am very dissatisfied. But overall everything is usually great

I have only been to this location two or three times as I am driving to Palo Alto VAMC. This Starbucks is awesome for being located right after the Dumbarton/84 Bridge however, the parking is limited and accident prone. The staff here tend to be on the rushing side, likely because it is busy at 6:15AM in the morning but still does not give me the same welcoming feeling as other locations. There is a homeless guy who sits polity outside and people tend to give him coffee myself included) but I don’t find him pushy or bothersome.

This has got to be the worst Starbucks I EVER been to. I asked for a Carmel Macciato and it taste like water so of course I asked them to remake it and it still tasted horrible!!! I should’ve known better just by seeing how dirty the place was. I was sitting waiting for my drink and notice that a dead fly with blood spots was left on the glass. I will never come to this Starbucks again!!!

There is nothing spectacular about this location, I actually hardly ever come here since the line is always to the door and that whole area is a nightmare when it comes to parking. I ordered my usual Caramel Macchiato, it was OK not extremely sweet like I asked for but no biggie. Customer service wasn’t all that great because I really didn’t get greeted before ordering my drink, it was kinda like a «what do you want» look… When on my way to work I will just stick to the Starbucks on University Ave. at least they smile and greet me as well as already knowing my name and drink when they see me.

This Starbucks has to be the second best one that I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff are all very friendly. I went here yesterday evening at around 7:15PM and stayed until it closed at around 8PM. They were not mean or anything when one of them went around and told the only other table that they were closing in a couple of minutes. By the way, the same person then told me. I would suggest going here, especially if you are a fan of Starbucks.

The coffee and oatmeal are what you expect of a Starbucks, consistently good and made to order. However, the service is criminal, or at least inconsiderate. I went in for my morning coffee on Monday and there was a sign the advertised the coffee as marked down from $ 14.95 to $ 9.95. Sweet! I thought, as I grabbed a bag of the delicious Christmas Blend. When I go to the register, it rang up as $ 14.95, so I pointed out the sign that was clearly visible from the register. The cashier and manager refused to honor the price because the sale had ended the day before. I asked three times for the advertised price and they refused to honor it! This is illegal. And no one removed the sign for the next 5 minutes while I waited for my oatmeal and latte. This store needs to be straightened out. This is not the Starbucks that I know, and seek out when I am on the road.

OMG– I can not believe I haven’t reviewed this yet. I am a fan of starbucks and I go here all the time. In the morning, there is about a 15 minute wait, but it is worth it. The staff are very friendly, and so is the background– atmosphere. They have a lot of comfy chairs. I recommend you go here– as people said it is by Facebook, and other places, it is in a little shopping center, next to a nail salon. Here is a tip for you: Parking can get quite crowded around noon– so I would recommend parking on the street.

I came in to order a passion tea, iced, no sweetener. Service is quick! Got my tea, full of sweetener. I brought it back and told them i have bad reactions to their sweetener which is why i asked for my tea without. was told they’d make me another one, no apology. Waited about 5 minutes and had to leave. I don’t understand how my specifically stating no sweetener was over looked… Now I have a headache from the sweetener. Thanks starbucks.

Yeah, yeah… not ~another~ Starbucks review. Really, this Starbucks needs the publicity. It’s a little out of the way, but still gives the same great service and all of the Starbucks products we’ve all grown to love. So if you find yourself in this neck of the woods and in desperate need of an espresso, pop in!
