What’s not to like? Yes, it’s only accessible to Facebook employees, but the quality and service are that of a regular Philz shop. Use the«Order Ahead» app so that you don’t have to wait in line in the mornings when it gets busy.

This is the Philz Coffee located on the Facebook campus. Note you have to actually go inside the campus to get here, so it’s not available to the public. I think prices are a little bit cheaper than other locations. The baristas are always really nice and make my drink really fast. I usually get the ice mint mojito which is sweet and creamy.

this location is NOT open to the public. This is inside the Facebook campus, and unless you work at Facebook you cannot get inside.

Didn’t get to go… Make sure you list that it’s not open to the public!!! I was new to the area and was unaware that it’s IN the Facebook campus. The receptionist there was extremely rude.

Located right in the middle of Facebook’s main campus, it’s a treat being able to come to this place each time. I’m no big fan of coffee; however, their teas are so delicious.

Philz is as Bay Area as it gets. This location is stationed at the heat of Facebook’s main campus. Although it isn’t free, the friendly staff, attention to drink details, fast moving lines, and complimentary pastries from the culinary team keeps me coming back day after day… literally!

It’s always a pleasure stopping by Philz. The Mint Mojito is a must-have for anyone who likes a refreshingly delicious coffee!

If people are angry bc Philz is exclusive to Facebook employees it must have good coffee lol. Also the low rating should be for Facebook not Philz. It’s Facebook’s policy…

Warning: don’t plan to wait here/get caffeinated if you arrive at Facebook early for your meeting/appointment. The security guards won’t let you past the door unless you are accompanied by a badged Facebook employee. You’re gonna have to walk across the highway to starbucks.

Less than a mile from my house(.79)…and yet I still have to drive to Palo Alto. It’s awesome if you’re an employee of Facebook… not so much if you live in the neighborhood now inundated with Facebook employees.

There is a Philz Coffee inside Facebook! Reminds me of how Starbucks is inside Disney’s office in Glendale. :) While visiting friends at Facebook last week, I stopped inside Philz Coffee to order a mocha latte. Great friendly service; seating for employees and guests; people were working on their laptops. It was a fun vibe, and drinks weren’t that expensive either. Great place to hang out for employees; what an awesome perk!

Mint mojito ice coffee is $ 1 cheaper here than outside Facebook’s campus. I’ve heard a lot about Philz’s mint mojito ice coffee but never got around to trying it until a few days ago. I had a brief brush with Philz’s coffee about a year ago but never quite took the bait. It was a tad bit too sour for my liking(not sure which beans I had then). The mint mojito was a totally different experience for me though. I loved the creamy thick foam and hint of minty taste. Best of all, it had no traces of any sour or acidic taste! Ding, Ding, Ding… I think I found a cup that I fancy at Philz’s, at last!

Got the Tesora and the Philtered Soul. Rich and full of flavor. One of the few places that have the butter in the blend(Tesora). Coffee worth the walk Protip: get the cream, even if you aren’t a cream and sugar person.

My first taste of Philz was divinely delicious =) I’d never had Philz Coffee before but thanks to the store conveniently located on FB’s campus I had the opportunity right there in front of me, urging me to come on in and try something. And once I walked in I didn’t want to leave! The smell is AMAZING! Just the fresh coffee aroma that permeated the room(and the entire inside of building 17 haha) perked me up. Thankfully I had my friend with me to explain how Philz works because otherwise I would have been kind of lost. This is NOT your normal coffee shop people, they brew YOUR cup of coffee for YOUONLY. Whaaaaaaaaat?! I had never heard of this sorcery before but when it was my turn I went up to the barista and confessed I was a Philz noob and needed some help. She asked me if I liked light or dark roast and went on to recommend a few options that she thought I would like. So helpful! You would never get to talk to such a patient and helpful barista who was willing to accommodate your tastes at Starbucks. But anyway she picked a light roast for me and I asked for milk and sugar just to get the overall flavor of Philz. My first sip was heavenly. Seriously what the heck kind of coffee was I drinking before? I wanted to down the drink in one gulp but I savored it slowly, which was a good idea considering my stomach doesn’t like being assaulted with vast quantities of dairy at once haha. In the end I was very pleased with my cup of coffee, even though I had to pay for it(which I almost forgot to do since the register is on the opposite side of the baristas lol) I’d definitely come back when I feel the craving for a really good cup of coffee, but I’d go easy on the milk next time, it was quite creamy! P. S. They also have a little corner displaying cute Philz merchandise items(shirts, thermoses, etc) that are begging to be bought! =)

Only the BEST coffee ever and the ONLY beans I brew at home. I am a native SF girl and have been so loyal to Philz because frankly its orgasmic! I now live in Hayward(which doesn’t have Philz) and I work in Menlo Park. However, I DIDNOTKNOW there was a Philz in Facebook which I pass everyday I go to work! And all this time I have been trekking out of my way to buy my Philz beans through traffic to downtown Palo Alto or even Berkeley. I am not sure how long it’s been at FB but I cannot wait to go there! What’s awesome about Philz is its made fresh by the cup! And the beans are ground to order. This is great because you can tell them what you like and they will guide you to a perfect cup! My Fav is Jacobs Wonderbar! Thisdark roast is so rich and full bodied, very smooth with yummy chocolate notes! OMG!!! Heaven just try it!!! Also, you can mix beans when you order a cup. So if Jacobs is a lil to strong but you like the chocolatey notes, then mix it with a medium roast Like Tesora. They are always happy to please you at Philz!

Their Mojito Coffee is great but my favorite is It’z the Best. It’s sweet but not overpowering and satisfies my need for caffeine.

This was my first Philz Coffee experience, and it was a good one! They customize coffee for your tastes– how awesome is that? Now, this was on the facebook campus, so I’m really not sure what the real experience is like, but I sure hope it’s similar. The barista asked what I like and recommended a blend for me. You can have it black or you can add cream & sugar. I originally asked for black, since I wanted to taste my coffee. I find that the cream and sugar really change the experience. So, this was more than I thought it would be… it was super strong, but the flavors really came through. Very smooth, very caramelly, and very dark. After the initial taste, I opted for a little cream and sugar, and honestly this threw it over the top. I was wowed and still remember the taste and aroma days later. So delicious. I only wish I could have this every morning!

I’m only starting to grasp the idea of having a pay for coffee shop on the facebook campus when we can pretty much eat and drink anything else for free! Sometimes, you just feel the urge to shovel over $$ for a cup of coffee/tea. Staff was friendly, perky and singing along to the music constantly. Too bad I got kicked out of here for being an unattended visitor by an awkward security guard. +Lots of comfy couches and tables to sit at, inside and out. –Hungry Hungry Pongy

Achievement unlocked: I’ve had every non-decaf Philz Coffee. Here’re my star ratings(*, **, or ***) and brief notes: Dark Roast: — Aromatic Arabic **: Tastes like coffee. — Ether **: Complex and interesting. Very slightly bitter. — It’z the Best **: Slightly sweeter but tastes like coffee. — Jacobs Wonderbar ***: My favorite for a while. — Julies Ultimate **: Slightly weird, kinda boring. — Mocha Tesora ***: Chocolately, way better than the plain Tesora, which is apparently a different blend. — Tantalizing Turkish **: I like cardamom. Medium Roast: — Ambrosia Coffee of God **: Slightly bitter, complex, smooth — Anesthesia to the Upside *: Tastes like bitter water. — Philharmonic ***: A weaker version of the Turkish. I love cardamom. — Philtered Soul *: Rich. — Silken Splendor **: Tastes like water/nothing with a slight bitterness. — Tesora *: Bitter and not complex at all. Light Roast: — Canopy of Heaven ***: Light. — Dancing Water ***: Slightly more bitter, still clean-tasting. — Greater Alarm **: Tastes great, I can feel the caffeine already. I had no problems staying up during an all-night hackathon. — New Manhattan ***: Very unique, complex flavors. — Sooo Good *: A bit bitter/biting. Decaf: — Decaf Organic Swiss Water ***: Quite good for decaf, much more flavorful than regular decaf. — Decaf Sumatra **: Tastes like water. Random: — Mint Mojito ***: Best coffeehouse cold drink, with real mint. — Gingerbread Iced Coffee **: Good if you’re sick of the mojito and want something different that’s iced, but the mojito’s clearly better. — Yin Yang **: Half tea, half coffee, with chai spices. It’s a very unique taste but not sure I love it. If you can’t tell, I don’t like bitterness or things that taste like coffee. I drank most of these with medium cream/medium sugar(«medium medium»). BTW, since people always ask, my overall favorite is Philharmonic. It’s very soothing. While I’m here might as well throw in some notes about what’s unique about this Philz: — It’s only for Facebook employees and guests so find a friend who works at Facebook to bring you, or interview there. — They don’t take Philz gift cards but use Square so it’s super easy to pay with the Square app on your iPhone or Android phone, or a credit card. — Everything is slightly cheaper than normal Philz(this is how I justified to myself that it was ok to drink every drink). — Pastries are free. — There’s a photo booth in the back so if you have an employee friend, it’s easy to get your picture taken here and posted to Facebook. — Lines are usually pretty short. — It’s Facebook so of course there’s a Facebook Page:
