It’s a typical old-time ice cream parlor, or at least a re-creation of one. Long counter, some tables, a decent selection of flavors. They have assorted floats and sundaes, some of which have cool names– cookie monster, gold wing, etc. Service was very good. I had a root beer float. Good creamy ice cream, decent Barq’s root beer. A little pricey, but good. Nice to have a little local ice cream joint in downtown Marysville.

Always enjoy the atmosphere at this throw-back ice cream shop. They serve Hershey Ice Cream, a premium brand with a great variety of flavors to choose from. From the rooster crowing when you enter to the train that runs around the store, this is a charming spot. And ice cream!!!

Huge selection. Great spot to take the kids. Relaxed friendly environment with the backroom painted with blackboard paint and plenty of chalk to keep the little ones entertained.

I love graeter’s ice cream but this place is a close second. They have a great selection of flavors and love the seasonal rotation as well. I’m a huge milk shake lover but I hate when people screw them up. These guys do a great job and the owners are some of the most polite people you will ever meet. My wife and I used to live about two doors down from this place when we moved to Marysville and I could barely keep myself from going back everyday for another milkshake. Sometimes it would be my lunch and dinner. Their food is pretty good as well. They do fried chicken and some other things. Also, when they say a scoop of ice cream they mean it. Skip going to get«custard» at some of the other places in town and head straight here. I feel sorry for the new place going in down the street. Just what we need is a second«custard» shop in Marysville. Someone didn’t do their homework when they scouted out this new location. This place stays open relatively late for an ice cream parlor too. So many places in Marysville are disappointing, this is definitely not one of those places. I think they serve Hershey’s brand ice cream and it is very good. They also offer some type of rewards program that seems to make it well worth it too.

I was just looking for some good places to get local ice cream. when i checked Unilocal with nearby places. I found this parlor most recommended. I just got some ice cream cone last week and the moment i kept the first scoop on my mouth, Oh my God it was awesome and it is so much for the price i give. I will definitely will have another scoop in this place. Its right in the middle of the downtown with the ice cream to have a stroll.

Cute place with a huge selection of deliciousness ice cream options. We tried lunch here once and the food was pretty awful. It tasted kind of like frozen schwan man meals heated up. My advice, you can’t lose if your getting dessert… Just make sure you have your meal somewhere else.

I love love LOVE this place. i always get the same thing, a 2 piece meal(thigh and leg) with potato wedges for a side and a drink, plus a 2 scoop for dessert. All for under $ 15 bucks. The ice cream might not be home made(i have no idea why people think it will be) but its always the perfect temp and delicious. the peanut butter caramel cookie dough is to DIE for. will keep going back.

Park in the rear but be sure to open the front door to hear the rooster crow. My 4.5 year old was fascinated by the train running along the crown molding. We were expecting home-made ice cream, instead they served Hersheys ice cream. Hershey’s is good but not special.

As far as the ice cream goes, this place has some of the best, and they always feature a limited-time flavor or flavor of the month. You get all the toppings and different types of cones and signature sundaes as you would find in any small-scale parlor. The Grass is Greener sundae is my favorite, and you will not find another place that gives you a better value for your money on your ice cream. However, the best kept secret about The Farmhouse is the Broaster Chicken. It is phenomenal. Not dry, not greasy or heavy, skin is crisp and tastes awesome, and the breaded potato wedge fries drive the whole thing over the top. Seriously, for the same price as the leading chicken place you get better tasting chicken, that’s healthier(shhhhh!), and the fries blow away the large batch, processed food sides from the chain restaurant. The owners and staff are always on top of getting things done. I’ve never been in there and had to stand around, waiting on an employee to help(not counting when there is a huge crowd). My boys love the train and old WB cartoons on the TV, so there are distractions if you do have to wait in line, making it easier on a mom and dad! It’s been a long time since I’ve found an ice cream parlor that I will make a trip specifically to go there. I usually get ice cream as an afterthought when going out to eat or running errands. The Farmhouse changes that for me. Great atmosphere(you can draw on their graffiti wall in the back!), great ice cream, AWESOME chicken, and great people easily make it my favorite ice cream parlor. Keep up the great work!

I am sad to update that the Banana Pudding flavor was merely just a «Flavor of the Month» and they do not have anymore in stock. This makes me oh-so sad, but I will keep stopping by Farmhouse for their other abundance of delicious flavors and variety. I also noticed on this trip(since I always come in the back door) that if you come in at the front entrance, they have an alarm that sounds like a rooster. Ha, ha! So COOL!

Farmhouse has ambiance AND great ice cream, making it a hit out of the ballpark for me. It reminds me of an old time ice cream shop inside, complete with a train making the rounds along the top of the shop. I guess I should have seen that coming since it IS called an ice cream parlor, but I was really taken with the décor. They also have a huge chalkboard style wall to play with-I liked that it was a playful space. I also loved that they had Hershey’s ice cream. I flipped out a little because Hershey’s is harder and harder to find in Columbus and vicinity so I LOVED that they had it. The people were nice about my flip out and so was my ice cream eating friend, but it was a freak out none the less. I ended up here at the end of a long road trip and it was a refreshing end. I look forward to going back when I’m back in the area!

Red Velvet cake ice cream. Need I say more? Tried this place for the first time tonight after hearing several great things and I certainly was not disappointed. The interior looks like a small town mom & pop place, but it adds to the charm in uptown Marysville. They have a train running around the top of the walls(kinda like the old Swenson’s if anyone remembers them). I have to say I was blown away at how absolutely down to earth & nice the staff was. I think the guy there may have owned the place and was as nice as can be. You’re more than welcome to try any of their flavors and they encourage it. My sister had the red velvet cake, which was a vanilla ice cream but it had hints of sweet cream cheese and the biggest chunks of fresh moist red velvet cake. You take a bite and your eye balls roll back in your head in bliss it’s that good. Most of their flavors remind me exactly of Baskin Robbins. Their mint chocolate chip & chocolate peanut butter look exactly like B&R. If I had to bet money, I’d say they get their ice cream thru B&R. The manager told me he worked at B&R for years. I also got the gold medal ribbon. I wanted 2 scoops of ice cream but it ended up being more like 4. They are huge portions and I couldn’t finish mine. I really like this place alot. It has charm, character, is in uptown, great service & phenomenal ice cream. Oh they also have a huge back room that is entirely painted in chalkboard paint, so they kiddies can go back and just draw pictures all over the walls. Great way to keep them occupied while mom & dad relax a bit. They just started doing broasted chicken too. I almost wish I hadn’t stopped in because now that I know they have my all time chocolate with peanut butter chunks, I’m sure I’ll be in again soon. Good for them, not good for me… lol

The ice cream is amazing! There are a lot of great flavors, but the coconut/almond/chocolate is the best I’ve ever had, and I normally don’t stray from my usual mint chocolate chip. The décor is very charming. There are high tin ceilings and a working train along the top perimeter. It’s a cozy and friendly atmosphere.
