The Ribbon Box Cakery & Gifts

This is the best place for cupcakes in town. The icing is to die for.
The only issue I have with The Ribbon Box is that when I need something on short notice they can never accommodate it.
There hours are a little on the short side as well. They are closed in Sunday and Monday.

I wanted very badly to write a good review for this place but I can not. The only nice thing I can say about the product is they are very pretty. I got vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry cupcakes, oatmeal raisin and snickerdoodle cookies. Nothing has any flavor… no flavor at all. The snickerdoodle cookies were undercooked… I added cinnamon and sugar and threw them in the oven for 7 mins to finish them off. I was really disappointed in their strawberry cupcake… it was so pretty! How did it not have any taste to it? I turned to my husband and said the cupcakes a co worker bought for my birthday at the Meijer bakery were ten times better than the treats I spent $ 38 for. Needless to say I won’t be back and I’m very disappointed. Guess I’m going back to Ele Cake Co in Dayton Ohio.

Everyone is always super friendly when I come in, and the cupcakes are amazing. I always have to indulge and take home at least a half dozen of the giant cupcakes!

They did such an amazing job on my parents cake for their 40^th anniversary! The cupckakes are delicious and the customer service is on point. Will definitely be getting my next cake from them, soo good!!!

Love everything about the Ribbon Box — friendly staff down to their fabulous baked goods. I can speak for their cookies, cupcakes, cake scraps, specialty ordered cakes, specialty ordered cup cakes, cupcake of the month and cookies of the month clubs. Always spot on and of highest quality. Marysville is lucky to have them! Anyone in town knows they are in for a treat the second they see that fancy ribbon!

I have never ordered a cake from the Ribbon Box, but I have given cupcakes to friends and they all said they were delicious. This past weekend we had a special celebration with relatives for their 50^th wedding anniversary at the Franklin Park Conservatory. We used a baker recommended by the Conservatory based out of New Albany. We visited in person and gave them a picture of exactly what we wanted. However, what we received was a disaster and did not match the picture, not even close. We frantically searched around in Marysville to find cake decorations to fix the cake, to no avail. We passed the Ribbon Box and having seen her cake decoration pictures from Facebook we decided to see if they could help us during this emergency. Denene and the ladies at the Ribbon Box offered to have it finished within 3 hours even though we did not need it until Saturday morning. They scraped all the icing off the cake and she used their bare sheet cake and started over for us. The cake was absolutely beautiful! They took our vision and made it come to a reality. We received many complements and appreciate the effort that the team made to save our families special day. We also discussed this situation with the Franklin Park Conservatory and mentioned The Ribbon Box to be listed as a great bakery for the Columbus area. Thank you Ribbon Box!

Let me start by saying this is my first review ever but since I read reviews frequently, I thought I should contribute. Need to start by saying the cupcakes here are very tasty just wish the customer service was better. Walked in after work for a treat. Employee says ‘do you know what you want’ and I told her ‘not yet’. She seemed irritated and put off that I did not know what I wanted the second I walked in. She would never make it in Columbus, too many cupcake shoppes with very friendly staff. Seriously, it makes me wonder are her friends writing the other reviews.

I TOTALLY agree with all the other reviewers and doubt anyone can give the Ribbon Box less than 5 stars!
What a hidden gem all the way out here in Marysville, if they moved shop to Columbus these wonderfully sweet ladys would make a sure mint on their cakes, cookies and cupcakes!
They also sell cake scraps in a tub for $ 3 but I wanted something pretty so I decided on 3 cupcakes at $ 3 each, they are huge and the best I’ve ever tasted!
They don’t waste all theri time on fancy decorating, no glitz and glam here, the focus is on the freshest, moist, soft and fluffy cake ever, which I got to indulge in chocolate, strawberry and raspberry cream cheese.
For the first time ever chocolate is not my favorite, hard to decide between the intense strawberry taste and the raspeberry cake mixed with lots of cream cheese, both I wanted to have a huge cake of!
The frosting, now once I heard its buttercream I though oh no, the dense and heavy butter taste I loathe, boy was I wrong, it is whipped so lightly, I thought it was whipped cream, I am truely in love!
They specialize in cakes and no doubt will I be back to get the cookies, more cupcakes and I would get an occasion cake baked here anytime, these ladys rock!!!

I love the cookies and the cake scrap cups are a great deal and delicious. I got a cake to tell my parents I was pregnant. I told Cindy my situation and let her design the cake. It was beautiful and deliciou! I’m was so happy with the way the cake looked, I wont hesitate to go back for the next milestone.

Stopped by while in town to visit family and found this to be a terrific place. Absolutely delicious cakes, try the coconut if you get the chance. And the cute little store is full of great gifts to go along with your bakery purchase. Top that off with a friendly smile from behind the counter and this becomes a don’t miss.

This cute little bakery has the best cupcakes. They are huge and very moist but the best is the light whipped buttercream. Sooooo good. Their iced sugar cookies are also great. If you have a craving for something sweet or need to take goodies into the office, give this place a whirl, you definitely won’t regret it and will more than likely be back for more.
