Applebee’s

Big improvement lately. Must have been a change in management since my last review. Service and food quality has greatly improved. I stopped coming here because of the poor quality before, but with these improvements I will most definitely become a regular again.

I’ve been here a few times over the years, and, well, it’s Applebee’s: chainy, decent for what it is, a safe choice but not amazing.
This time, service was very good. The place was half full on a weekday afternoon, mostly with older people. Older than me, and I’m getting old. It’s nice inside, dark and comfy. I was indecisive and ended up with a build-​your-​own app combo. I chose sriracha shrimp, spinach artichoke dip, double crunch wings with Thai sauce, and potstickers.
The shrimp were not very hot; there was a slight sriracha flavor, but not enough. They were soggy, and just not nearly as good as I’d hoped they’d be. The potstickers were just okay– small, not very flavorful, and on a bed of salad that may have been just for appearances, but which I ate to try to offset the other stuff I was putting in myself. The wings were pretty good– decent flavor from the sauce, okay otherwise. The dip was the star, and frankly it was only just above average. Nothing was super flavorful. I left full, but not quite satisfied. I was reminded why I don’t come in very often– it’s just not that special.

Do not get Curbside to go here! We waited 20 minutes and I called and talked to «manager» Term used lightly. He came out with food 5 minutes later and said «sorry-​we are busy and they didn’t have time to put orders in bags» Are you kidding me? He had sores all over his face and lips and looked young and dirty. Got home and the food was hard and dry from sitting under the heat lamps! Do not go here! Gross!

After asking for a booth, then asking for a table away from screaming children we were seated in the midst of 3 tables of screaming children. After 20 minutes other tables were served food, while we were ignored. After deciding to leave, the greeter who seated us and knew we had not even been looked at since he seated us, did not even ask why we were leaving. On the bright side, leaving did improve our day.
Not again in this lifetime. This applebees is the worst I’ve ever been in.

Menus changed again and no longer can get soup and salad combo on weekends — sorry Applebee’s, bad move.
Table sticky, new tablet disgustingly dirty (plus what is purpose of them?)
Server very nice and attentive (Thank you Angel).
Chicken Wontons on app menu changed and lost some of the flavor.

I took my family here on a Friday night, they weren’t that busy. The appetizers were great and served in a timely manner. When it came to the main course, we waited and waited but it didn’t show up. People who came in after us received their food before us. When our food finally did come, my sandwich was nothing like the picture or description on the menu. Not worth anywhere near the $ 12 I was charged for it. The waiter saw my agitation and had the manager visit the table. He offered to comp my meal and seemed generally concerned about my bad experience. Needless to say I will not be visiting this establishment anytime soon.

My wife and i had lunch today and everything was good. We were seating immediately and our waitress was nice and attentive. The food was very good and came out quickly. I will be back again.

Order online for carside pick up. Waited in the carside pick up area for 10 minutes. No one ever came out to check (there were other customers out there waiting and no one had checked on them either). Called the to go number to let them know they had customers waiting to pick up orders. The young lady said she would tell the carside to go people. Wait another 10 minutes and still nothing. By this time I figure even if they’ve made the food it’s been sitting for 20 minutes and I’m just not ok with that. Call back in and tell them I’m leaving and to cancel the order. Applebee’s fail! I don’t even want to give them 1 star but I can’t post without some kind of rating.

Stopped yesterday for lunch not busy great waitress food was good they redid the menu. Only complaint it was freezing in there

I’ve been sitting at the bar for an hour. No food, they are not busy. They are understaffed, and the dirty dishes sitting on the bartop are taking two seats away. Lucky that I am a server and won’t complain, but their management sucks.

Portions are small, veggies almost non-​existent, prices are sky high, and the waiter service is hit and miss. A small step up from fast food for three times the price.

I travel out of town a lot, and while on the road stopping at Applebees is usually a good way to get a decent meal.
But I hate going to this Applebees in my own hometown. My family has tried several times because… well… it’s supposed to be an Applebees. But somehow they manage to disappoint us in one way or another every time we go. We no longer go to this location at all… but I’ll still dine at Applebee locations elsewhere.

My husband and I decided to go to Applebees for our anniversary. BIG MISTAKE! When we walked in the door, a couple was talking to the hostess about a «situation.» The couple did ask the hostess to be a witness for the insurance company if needed. I am not sure what that was about, but it should have been our sign to LEAVE!
The waitress was okay, just not very friendly or engaging. She was seemed irritated that we took our time ordering, but with four kids we are never fast. I ordered ribs, broccoli, and fries. My ribs were a tiny portion, and overcooked — not worth the price. My broccoli was awful and did not taste clean. And, my fries were cold and soggy. My husband did mention his portion size to the manager, when the manager asked. And, my husband was given more ribs.
I do not think I would return to this restaurant. And, apparently, the rest of Marysville agrees. We were there at 5:30, and we left at about 7:00. There were just about ten other customers at the time. Most of the other places in town are busy at this time of day. Why not Applebee’s???

Really slow and every time I asked the waitress a question she didn’t know the answer and practically just made something up. Then she’d come back later and adjust her answer. She may have been new, but jeez, at least admit it.

Blame it on the ‘chain’ mentality or what have you, but this location is terrible and I will never come back to this place.
The food is usually terrible, overcooked, and you can almost always count on it being cold from waiting under the heat lamps too long while your server was doing… whatever.
What killed it for me was that all of our food was brought out cold from being forgotten about, and the manager fixed this by microwaving them and using the «hot plates» line to signal your food has been overcooked to oblivion. ENJOY your shoe-​leather!
Uh… no thanks.
Locals would do this place a favor by not eating here, and letting this chain just die out.
