This is always an unknown adventure eating here ! Will we get good service? Not tonight ! Will you get great food? Not tonight. Sadly they weren’t even busy. We waited 5 minutes to be seated … 15 minutes before a waitress showed up and that was the Assistant Manager … She totally screwed up our order … Passed us on to another waitress … Then we were passed on to another waitress. Really! Boycotting it again !

I placed a carry out order using the Bob Evans app. Nothing complicated – two items. I arrived to pick it up when it was supposed to be ready only to find that it wasn’t even started. I waited 25 minutes while watching two employees eat in the food prep area.(I had already paid using the app or I wouldn’t have waited.) There was no manager to be seen anywhere. It was ridiculous. Oh, and there were no apples for the cranberry apple salad. Seriously.

Don’t eat here. Just drive on by. I have severe food allergies and politely explained this to my waitress when placing my order. Usually, I don’t even eat out but, we were on the last leg of a long road trip and were out of packed snacks. I was starving! We had a lovely experience at a Bob Evans in Michigan earlier in the trip and I was optimistic about the possibility of a new chain that I might be able to frequent. I’m allergic to most seasonings(and pretty much everything else) so, I ordered a simple omelet with a fresh fruit cup and asked to make sure that it could in fact, be prepared without any seasoning. I let our waitress know, as I always do, that, I’m sorry for being such a pain in having to inquire about ingredients in everything and that I know it takes up her time and I promise, I will leave an excellent tip for all of the trouble. While waiting for our meal we noticed the manager being called out to almost every table. The hostess had apologized for the filthy condition of the restaurant and explained that it had been a busy day and had just slowed down. I’ve worked in a restaurant, I understand… No worries… While eating, I felt the tickle in my throat and noticed that my tongue had begun to swell. I took another Zyrtec, drank my water, asked for the check and to speak with the manager. He met us at the cash register. I explained that I understand they had obviously been busy(although there were only a few tables occupied at that time) but, that I felt he should be aware that food allergies are serious and life threatening and I was genuinely worried about my ability to breath at this time. I politely explained that I had made this clear to the waitress and that she had assured me that she would make this clear to the kitchen staff. He just stared at me. Then, I just asked that he remove the almost $ 9 omelet from my bill. He did. He said«have a nice night» and continued to just stare at me. At that point, I felt as though, maybe, he thought I was lying about my food allergies because of the look I continued to receive from him… I replied with«I will, after I can breathe again and if I don’t spend the night in the ER». He replied that I should definitely let them know if I do. I just walked out at that point… I used my inhaler 6 times in the next 30 minutes or so and, finally… Again, drew a clear breath. However, the icky feeling of being looked down upon by, a Bob Evan’s Shift Manager… sadly, remains… Still sick today BTW…

Not sure what goes on at this Bob Evans, service is slow no matter time of day, day of week, or how busy/not busy. I enjoy Bob Evans and visit Marysville’s as little as possible because of the slow service. I’m sitting here with it not even half full, empty tables covered with dishes and people waiting. If you are in a hurry or have kids avoid this one!

Karen used to be the GM at this location and ran a tight ship but she moved to a new store a couple years ago. We used to enjoy coming here eating the good food and dinning in the wholesome family environment but after a few incidents with the same server(Angel) over and over on subsequent trips and giving her opportunities to change her behavior, attitude and downright rudeness has unfortunately not changed. Instead it has only worsened to the point we had to report it to their corporate headquarters since our last visit was shared with the current GM with unsuccessful results. After Angel literally slung our incorrectly reordered food onto our table and said, «There’s your…» so sarcastically that we asked her back to our table and she ignored us. That’s when we asked for the GM who only asked if our order was correct at that point! We told him that wasn’t point. He never apologized or made it clear he would address Angel’s behavior towards us. If it wasn’t for the good food and other great staff there, we would NEVER return!

I am always on a look out for different things to try. The food here was excellent and each and every food that you keep in your mouth is different and tasty. The staff was really good and served us well on time. The one thing i liked was my iced Lemon Tea. In my entire life this is the best Iced lemon tea i have tasted. The ice creams and the banana bread was also great. Altogether it was a wonderful experience
