Keys to eating at Tommy Taco– Do not come here sober. Do not come here before midnight. Do not order anything but dream fries. Like its neighbor, Fat Sal’s, this is late night munchies at its finest. Whatever you eat, you will regret in the morning but savor during the moment.

I went for a quick take out dinner after class. The prices seemed a little too steep for the quality of the food given Westwood. The staff wasn’t that friendly. I had the wet burrito it wasn’t even warm when I got the food. The sweet potatoes fries I ordered for a friend were cold and soggy when I asked for crispy. There was a good sauce, not ketchup, that came with the fries. If it weren’t for the sauce, I would give this place one star.

I ordered the fries with STEAKANDBACON and I got back to my car and opened them and they had steak and chicken and I went back and he proceeded to argue with me telling me I said chicken and I know for a fact I didn’t because CHICKENISNTEVENANOPTIONONTHEMENU Don’t argue with me are you serious??? Bye!!! They lost a customer

We had the chicken Tommy tacos and they were amazing! Love this little spot, especially for late night cravings on ucla campus. The employees are so nice and the service is quick! Not huge seating area though, so don’t plan on bringing a huge party.

My go-to burrito is the ktown style 8″ burrito. It’s around $ 8 bucks the burrito is packed with flavorful and tender bbq and some sliced veggies. I really like getting this because the price is reasonable plus you get so much savory meat out of it!

Don’t order the ground beef burrito Cali style. It is 90% French fries and 10% ground beef. The ground beef has no flavor and is pretty greasy. You can tell when a place puts effort into making food taste great. This joint is for just getting carbs in you if you have been drinking all night. There are definitely better burritos at other restaurants.

I once ate the frankenstein style burrito(double hot dog, chili, cheese, sour cream, guac) and dream fries(steak, sour cream, avo) in one sitting. I got sick the next day. I plan on doing this again… and again.

BOMBASSTACOS! They have good hot sauce and they’re open late. Not too mention extremely quick with your order and the guy working the window is a sweet heart

The rice bean and cheese burrito is my favorite thing from the menu. This place is a good place to get fast food and eat fast when u are in a rush. There is no wait the food is ready very fast. Close by and good price

I’ve been to tommy taco a few times now, and every time the food is great. I always get the dream fries to share and they’re amazing. It’s fries with beans and rice and cheese, guacamole, and salsas. The food is very heavy but very good. Anytime I’m in the mood for a late night heavy snack, tommy taco is my go to!

This place is delicious! Has some tough competition next door and up the block but when I’m craving a California Burrito I couldn’t ask for anything more! Not a bad view if your sitting watching the street view!

If you’re here on a Thurs-Sun night, expect a long wait. It’s right next to UCLA so this is the spot to go after partying and people have the drunchies. Everyone’s usually at Fat Sal’s but I find that Tommy’s Tacos is very underrated. Their fries are my favorite carne asada type of fries of all time. They are called the dream fries where they later fries with avocadoes, steak, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. The salsa is a bit spicy so beware. I’ve tried the pastrami fries which weren’t as good as I expected, I’d rather just spend the money on the dream fries. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a bit pricey, with the fries coming out to almost $ 10. But they have good business considering people just come here when they’re drunk and their inhibitions aren’t the best. I know they have a lot of other things that I really want to try, like Korean tacos and burritos.

I always go here for the burritos nowadays(but dream fries with steak still holds a special place in my heart). Top choices for burritos are the K-Town Style Burrito and the Spicy KBBQ Pork Burrito! Both are very filling but lately they’ve been getting more and more bland? K-Town Style has way too much rice, which drowns out the flavor of the meat and there’s not enough pickled cabbage in it for that kimchi flavor! Spicy Pork Burrito is now my usual order whenever I go to Tommy Taco. The pork is actually at a decent spice level so it gives you an extra ummph. Rice is still pretty bland but at least it’s a better rice-to-meat ratio than the K-Town Style! Note: Every burrito order comes with a small side of chips and salsa. Also, don’t feel bad mistaking Tommy Taco for Fat Sals. It literally happens to everyone.

I mean, like, it’s aight. The few times I’ve been there it’s been empty or veeeery few people, and yet they still take kind of a long time to make the burritos. But cradling your 12 inch burrito like a baby is kind of funny, and the K-Town is pretty good, so 3 stars in my book.

Cali-Style; K-style, and Breakfast Burrito. Have a big appetite because these burritos are huge. The mix and flavor was great for a quick bite. Great Price at a Great Value. A bit greasy, avoid it if you’re not those types. I wouldn’t eat here all the time for my health, but it is definitely great to alternative with the nearby Fat Sal.

I came here on a Friday night and it was packed as usual with the normal late night college student crowd. I waited patiently to order as the line took a while. There’s a $ 5 minimum for card, which was annoying since I only wanted fries. I ended up ordering Dream Fries with chicken and a side of fries for my friend. As a was placing my order, the guy at the register was really rude to me even though I did nothing to aggravate him. I get it that it was late, but still I was a paying customer. The Dream Fries were less than dreamy. I didn’t expect much, but these fries were mediocre. The fries weren’t that good and they didn’t even provide ketchup to eat with them. The chicken was dry. The only thing I liked about this dish was the fresh avocados on top.

This is definitely your go to place for some late night drunchies! The dream fries with steak is a must have. Dream Fries come in a circular container with thick fries, cheese, sour cream, avocados, and steak/bacon; your choice of both or either one. It also comes with salsa on the side which makes the fries taste even better. I wouldn’t recommend any tacos from here because they are kinda pricey for how tiny they are. i say go to one of the many wonderful taco trucks in LA if you’re looking for some good tacos. If you’re in the area and are craving some good fries definitely stop by and get some dream fries!

I had an awful first trip here. Ordered two Korean tacos, and the person taking my order tried charging me $ 1.00 for a cup of water. I countered telling him that was probably illegal(and very lowball of him). In return, I received two lousy awful tasting tacos and sense of regret for not eating at Fat Sal’s next door. I also think they overcharged me and added that BS water charge on out of spite… even after I told them they could keep that dollar cup. Never come here.

My absolute favorite thing to get here(honestly, the only thing I do get here) is the Korean BBQ taco. It is beyond delicious and when you got no time to be chasing down Kogi, get your ass over here. They fill this taco to the brim and you can easily slide one tortilla over the other and split the filling to make two mini tacos. It’s what my cheap ass does every time and I’m none the wiser about the deception I do to myself. It’s the Inception of Deception. The meat is deliciously marinated, the little slaw on top is crunchy and tangy and it has that smoky little char you want from Korean BBQ meats. If this joint was smart, they’d leverage this filling into a bunch of items like Korean BBQ fries, Korean BBQ nachos, quesadillas and so on and so forth until all the UCLA chumps were eating out of their hands. As it is, this place is weirdly not SUPER popular and Fat Sal’s is beating it at the college food game, which is a crying shame. Although, why am I complaining – not sure I want this place super crowded anyway as they tend to run out of meat fairly early into most days. I’m a total fan.

Dream fries over the new Dirty Dirty fries. The price for the Dream fries are pretty fair for how much you get($ 7) and everything tastes so fresh and yummy. But the tacos are $ 3.50 just for one. So I don’t know how much I recommend those for the price. But if you’re deciding between late night munchies from Fat Sals or Tommy Taco, get the Dream fries! You’re stomach will thank you after. Overall, I recommend checking this place out
