These guys just catered my work today and the dogs were incredible. The flavor combinations were perfect. Got a Rio Grande and a Tokyo. I highly recommend both. Protip: You want to have the Rio Grande nice and fresh so the cheese sauce is warm and gooey.

Frederick just catered my daughter’s 4th Birthday party and I cannot say enough wonderful things about him and his food. He was extremely punctual, professional and every single guest probably told me twice how much they loved the hot dogs. I am looking forward to hiring him again and I highly recommend using him for parties as he offers Beef, Turkey and Vegan choices, gluten-free options and all organic. So much fun.

I tried out Serendoggity when it was vending at Smog City brewery last spring. I wasn’t expecting much from a hotdog-centric food stand, but I was pleasantly surprised. Their creative offerings really had a good variety and paired really well with craft beer. I hope they continue to come back to Smog City. My next Amarilla Gorilla won’t be the same without a Yukon Dog.

Saw this cart on the USC campus near Hoover and Jefferson. When I approached, the man working the cart was on the phone. Seemed like an important call so I waited. Once he was done, a customer ordered and he commenced to prepare the hot dog. He didn’t wash his hands, nor did he wear gloves. I decided not to buy from him because of that.

Saw this cart in front of Santa Monica College’s Bundy campus and decided to give it a visit. As a poor college student, I’d say 5 dollars is pretty expensive for a hot dog. I got the Bangkok dog plus a free drink, but the hotdogs didn’t fill me up at all. On the other hand, it was really delicious. It’s a hot dog with a spin.

Ordinarily, I’m not a big fan of hot dogs. But Serendoggity makes them special! They’ve kind of got a formula, but it’s a formula that’s open to infinite variations: A little sweet, a little sour, a little spice, a little crunch, all stacked on the foundation of that meaty, juicy hot dog. The hot dogs are medium-sized, not humongous, but that’s a good thing; it means the prices are low($ 4 – 6), and you can try three or four different varieties at one sitting. Today, I had the Durham dog(with BBQ sauce) and the Seoul dog(with kim chi) off the regular menu; I also had the special dog ‘o the day(banh mi). Chips and beverages round out the menu. Service is friendly but efficient. My only criticism would be that they don’t make it easy to find out online where they’re going to be. But if you spot them in your neighborhood, go! You’ll be glad you did.

Serendoggity is a great food stand! The owner was super friendly and attentive, service was prompt, and the different hot dogs topping combinations were pretty creative. I had the Vienna Currywurst and it was delicious. However, I didn’t really think there was anything too special about the hot dog itself. The toppings were yummy, but were also something I could probably put together at home. The sausage seemed pretty generic, as did the bun. It’d be more worth the money if the bun were toasted or a special type of bread, or if the sausage were homemade or gourmet or somewhat different from the type that you find in the sandwich meat aisle at the supermarket. I really enjoyed my time here, but I also think there are ways this stand can be improved. With that being said, it was a great afternoon snack and I’ll probably be dropping by again in the future.

Saw this food stand outside of my office on Jefferson and ate there for my lunch break. I usually avoid hot dogs because they’re made of not healthy, but this stand touted organic meats of beef, turkey, and vegan(organic tofu). Each dog is cleverly named after a different international city(New York, Tokyo, Vienna, etc) and the ingredients match famous flavors of that city. I got the Bangkok turkey dog, replete with satay sauce, shrimp chips and Napa, and it was delicious! Well worth 5 dollars! I wish the dog itself could have been bigger; for a gourmet dog it’s pretty small. But this also goes to show how much I enjoyed it. Second time I went to test it out I ordered a Tokyo dog(roasted seaweed yum) and it was also great. Highly recommend; if you’re going to spend 5 bucks, might add well be something delicious and organic! Guy running the stand is really nice too and has been to most of the cities he named his hot dogs for.

These guys were at an event I attended today. I don’t normally eat hot dogs, but they looked so good I had to try one. Then another, and another. I had the Seoul Dog. Kimchi, Seasame Seeds and some spicy sauce. OMG! So frickin good! It literally was like a Korean lunch in hot dog form. So then I got the Hanoi Dog. Basically think of a Ban Mi hot dog. Pickled Daikon, more spicy sauce and a cajun sausage. It was incredibly delicious and very creative. After about 20 minutes, I had to get another. My girlfriend and I split a Tokyo and Thai dog. The Tokyo had dried seaweed, crunchy shrimp crisps and a wasabi mayonnaise. It was like eating some gourmet sushi roll. The Thai dog had a peanut Satay sauce, crunchy shrimp crisps and some other stuff I can’t remember, but DAMN! So tasty. Apparently these guys are usually outside the Roger Room(on Beverly) every Thursday night. I highly recommend you stop by and try one of these insanely creative and yummy hot dogs. They are one of a kind and super delicious. Enjoy!

I know, I know. I’ve been posting a lot of 5-star reviews lately, but I can’t help it. I’m on a food roll(which hopefully won’t turn into a physical belly roll). Serendoggity was one of the food stands at Wine Riot LA this past weekend and my friend and I were itching to try it. They were about to close and pack up, but luckily let us sneak a dog each before then! Score! I got the Vegan dog with the toasted sesame seeds and seaweed. It was spicy and delicious. Best vegan dog I’ve ever had, to be quite honest. Checked in to Unilocal and they gave us free hot cheetos. Double score!

Frederick was pretty prompt in responding to my concern… apparently it was a miscommunication between me and the person handling my payment. I’m fixing my review for now… like I said, the dog was really good!

YUM! I had the«yardbird»(was it turkey or chicken?) Rio Grande Dog on Abbott Kinney recently and will make a trip back there to try another of the menu choices real soon. It was difficult to choose — but I will force myself to try a different one next time. Good work!

These are steamed dogs, friends, just as mother nature intended. I had the New York vegan dog. Amazing. The dog had the perfect texture and flavor profile, and it was guilt free, to boot. Gently perched on a soft white bun, it looked so innocent. The toppings are all first rate, and are all accompanied by singing angels and fanfares, as well. After being caught in the cart’s orbit for a while, I made like a shark, and killed a vegan Vienna dog, too. Sorry, doggy, but you were delicious. Here’s where it gets ugly. A couple of weeks pass, and I find myself salivating from the imagined taste of these things. Do I have a methadog clinic, near my digs? Hellz to the no. So I abandon the comforts of home, truck up to where Serendoggity is reputed to be,(luckily the site lists the cart’s whereabouts) my hands stop shaking, and I wolf one down. Time returns to normal, the sweat is sucked back into the pores of my brow, hell thaws, and all is right with the world. Thank you, Serendoggity, but what the hell have you done to me?

The Tokyo Dog. Yum! I had it with the veggie dog(tofu) and it was just the perfect amount of flavor. No one flavor overpowered the other. It also felt great to have a hot dog without the meat. I noticed that the guy could make the meat dogs a little bit more quickly than the tofu dogs. So be ready to wait about 5 minutes longer for the tofu. He has chairs out there, so it is a pretty quick and painless wait… and totally worth it. If you are not sure where to find him, tweet a message to him and he usually is so quick to respond.(@serendoggity).

We hired Serendoggity for a private party and it was a HUGE hit! They arrived early to set up, stayed until the end, and were so easy to work with! I loved that my guests could just go up and order whatever they wanted and Serendoggity counted the trays used to distribute dogs and charged me according to that. So easy peasy lemon hot diggity dog squeezey! Although everything on the menu sounded tasty, I settled on getting the Bangkok dog. It was a bit too spicy for me but so delicious I kept eating and finished it anyways. I would’ve tried more dogs if I wasn’t busy running around… but I plan to hunt down the Serendoggity cart while it is on the streets to tackle down the rest of the menu! My husband ate two Rio Grandes! And my preggo friend ate 3 different dogs! She had lost her appetite towards the end of her pregnancy but she managed to eat THREE Serendoggity dogs all by herself at our party because they were so good!(Her baby will come out with such a refined and sophisticated palette now thanks to these fine organic gourmet dogs!) Organic dogs, vegetarian options available, tons of creative flavors… what’s not to love? I particularly love the idea of an American comfort food as classic as the hot dog but jazzed up with tons of fun and interesting and international sophisticated flavors. Keep up the good work Serendoggity!

Hot dog art on Abbot-Kinney in Venice. My friends had the Philly and the Tokyo Dog but I had the Rio Grande. Like other places in Venice, parking can be rough, you may need sun tan lotion, not too crowded. Serendoggity serves up locals and visitors like me, I ate my hot dog right there as many other did. BYOC, bring your own chair but I stood happily. They put salsa, Cheese, Jalapeño, Cilantro and Nacho Chips on top of a hot dog. How did it taste? Refreshing, unique, I enjoyed the way the warm hot dog and jalapeño interacted, the cheese and nacho chips had a distinct crunch and smooth appeal. The cilantro was noticed and added a balance to everything, made it a more hardy. Organic and creatively dressed hot dogs make this a sight to see and taste. Everyone will have different ratings for Serendoggity based their own distinct flavor palette. My specific taste palette is telling me to come back for another hot dog. That is how they do it! I had the Seoul Dog today and it was DELICIOUS. It may not be as big and mighty as some of the food trucks on Abbot Kinney, but Serendoggity is a food cart that should not be overlooked! Others around me were raving about the Bangkok Dog and the Vienna Dog so I’m looking forward to trying those next, but my choice really hit the spot. The man operating the cart was very good at answering my fiancé’s questions(he’s very skeptical about all things labeled«organic»), so that was a plus! Seriously the most delicious and unique hot dog I’ve had in a long time… possibly the best EVER.

Was walking around Abbott Kinney last week with my friend and we came across this cart selling hot dogs. Now, you may say«hot dogs?» Well these aren’t ordinary hot dogs. These are organic hot dogs and you have your choice of beef, turkey or vegan. We got the beef and being the purist that I am, I chose the New York Dog. It comes with the requisite sauerkraut and mustard — I asked for brown spicy mustard although you can opt for yellow mustard too. The dog has a nice snap to it and everything you’d expect from a hot dog. If you’re vegetarian, you will love the vegan dog. I didn’t try it, but I am told it has a nice snap as well and the texture is so true to the real thing that the vegetarian in question said«I almost feel like I shouldn’t be eating this it tastes so real». And just so you know, if you didn’t like the gourmet toppings listed, you are welcome to create your own! There are a bunch of flavors available and I know I still have a ways to go to try ‘em all. But for now, it is totally 5 stars. I love the concept and the cute name!
