Read all the bad reviews. That pretty much sums it up.

This is the worst food truck I’ve had in LA so far. I chose this truck at a 4th of July event and they didn’t have a long line which is why I chose it and should have been my first clue. I got the pulled pork sandwich with ribs for my wife and there was little to no seasoning or sauce on either item. It was soggy and the we also got french fries that were also soggy. We paid 10 bux for JUST the pulled pork sandwich and you can get a extremely better meal of pulled pork and two sides at another place for 9 bux. Never eating this again.

Slow and disorganized. Also kind of rude. It was hard to figure out where to order and they didn’t acknowledge anybody who walked up. You had to wait forever to place an order and then longer for the food. It wasn’t even that crowded but they just seemed exasperated by everybody. At one point, I heard the dude inside ask, «Are they tipping at least?!» And the woman was like, «Ha ha, no.» So maybe that’s why they weren’t being nice and were taking forever to make the food. As for the food, the fries were nice and crispy and their homemade ranch dressing was very good. But the pulled pork sandwich was not so much. The meat was bland and the cole slaw was super-mayonnaise-y. I was scraping it off. All in all, not my cup of tea.

Bought chicken and sausage gumbo and Cajun fries from them just now at the UCR food truck festival. Experience ordering was good and they didn’t take too long. The entrée sized gumbo is huge for $ 8 and tastes delicious. Lots of meat in every bite and the right amount of spice. The fries were okay. Some of the crunchy ones with a lot of seasoning were good, but some were soggy and bare. Overall, I’m happy with my meal!

Grilled cheese and mac & cheese were both ok. The garlic and rosemary on the grilled cheese was a little overpowering for my taste buds, but overall it was ok. The mac on the mac & cheese was way to soft in my opinion, as if it was left boiling for too long. For a perfect mac & cheese, the mac needs to be aldente!

Disappointing. Got the pulled pork, pork was way too dry, flavor was okay, bun was lacking both taste and the ability to hold the sandwich. Not worth the money given how much competition there is across from LACMA. Gave two stars mostly because they were fast so an okay option if you’re in a hurry.

I went to the Santa Monica business park last Wednesday and wanted to try some Food Truck Food and decided to try their’s. Not only was the grilled cheese tasteless and greasy — the French Fries were soft and disgusting. On top of it there must have bin something wrong since I hade to puke later. This truck sucks. As does the service. I hate Game On Gourmet Food Truck.

This is game day food. At least in theory… Grilled cheese was nothing special at all, but I’m ok with«nothing special» if it tastes good. Did it taste good? It was OK. Nothing you couldn’t whip up in your house with a George Foreman grill. The fries are a sadder story. Fries are one of the ultimate game day foods in my estimation. The first set they gave me were lukewarm and stale. Clearly, they had been sitting around. While the cashier lady was«shocked» and apologetic and definitely tried to rectify the matter when I pointed it out, the replacement set she gave me still left quite a bit to be desired. While they were hot, they were also undercooked inside, at least the vast majority of them. I did have one french fry that was overdone on one end and nearly raw inside on the other end. How does this happen? Bad fryer or bad cook? You decide. Maybe just plain bad. I could hear the oil in the fryer going when the cook was whipping up the second batch. It was quite loud, so I knew they were trying to make me some fresh ones. However, I don’t recall hearing the fryer the first time and as loud as it was, I think I would’ve noticed. Conclusion: the first set of fries didn’t come out of the fryer. I appreciate that they fixed it without hassling me. On the other hand, that ought to be a given after what they tried to pass off on me. I thought about giving them a couple stars for being nice, but the truth is being nice ought to be a given when you’re giving a food truck your business. Where I work, there is a plethora of food trucks lining up every single day and fighting for space at lunch time. Nice or not, when I fork over my hard earned money, you shouldn’t be passing me stale, nearly cold fries(or poorly reheated ones) in the first place. If you’re gonna make up for it, do it right or not at all. So frustrating and amateurish! There was no one else in line. I don’t want to walk back to the office with something I just end up throwing out. $ 4 for some food truck fries that end up in the garbage. My mistake for picking the one food truck on the block that had NO line at all when I had a dozen to choose from. I ended up opening a can of Pringles from the office cupboard to get my potato fix and to go with my just OK grilled cheese. I liked the Pringles most of all! Game On needs to up their game or get out of the game! I don’t want to eat this food on game day or any other day.

Spicy fries. Those two words are all you really need to know about this awesome food truck. Oh man, I’ve been putting off writing this review because I knew if I started I would crave those fries again and drool all over my keyboard… Grilled cheese with ranch sauce? Yes please. Bacon-wrapped sausages? Why do you even ask, who doesn’t want that? Chicken and waffles? Pulled pork sandwich with appleslaw… oh my goodness, where oh where are you parked right now Game On! truck??? I’m all aboard the food truck fad, but man oh man if Game On! doesn’t take it to a whole new level. The service is good too! Very friendly and helpful if you can’t make up your mind, and let me tell you, it’s a near impossibility. I recommend not eating for a week and then just getting one of everything.

Best grilled cheese I’ve ever had in my life. Must be enjoyed with seasoned fries and their ranch sauce!

I needed a quick fix before going out for the night so I just ordered seasoned fries. The girl worker was extremely friendly and they were empty so I gave em a try :) Came out within 10 minutes. It was nice and hot. Good fries but nothing special or anything. Just good service and decent food!

@gameontruck Often times I’ll approach a new truck with high or low expectations depending on what I’ve read about them. While I haven’t read any reviews of this truck, my expectations here were not high. That was from experience though. I’ve tried a couple of other trucks with a sports bar type menu and been underwhelmed. 3 stars at best. I have to say that this time I was pleasantly surprised. I tried the pulled pork sandwich with Fuji apple coleslaw. The flavor of the pork was spot on and the coleslaw was a great accompaniment. All this served on a very soft bun. In fact if I were to suggest any way to improve this sandwich it would be something minor like maybe try a slightly firmer bun or perhaps toast the bun they’re using, It is a little on the soft side. But that’s a personal preference that doesn’t in my opinion take anything away from the sandwich. The overall flavor and edibility,(is that a word?), is 4 star all the way. And I’m a nut for pulled pork so so I have a lot to compare it to. I’m anxious to try some of their other offerings in the future. So what’s left to except for this. STALKERAPPROVED

The food here really does make you feel like you’re at a baseball game. I got a bacon wrapped sausage with deli mustard and sweet pickled relish on a giant roll. Looked exactly like what you’d see at a ball game, but probably tasted better. They also got meatballs, corn dogs, boneless chicken and waffles and a bunch more. Next time it’s in the area, I’m definitely going to take a stab at something else on the menu.
