I have been to this place twice. Once, I got chicken phở and the second time I had tofu with veggie phở. They have regular and large bowls. The food is good and so is the customer service. The only inconvenience is parking. There’s only street parking, but I have found spots within a few minutes both times.

Basic. It works for lunch, yes I will come back just because I work around the area. Clean place and friendly staff.

This place was excellent. The food was great(I mean really really great), the service was fast and friendly, and the ambience was perfect for a good, simple meal. Definitely worth a try, and I’ll be back for sure!

I came here with some coworkers for lunch on a weekday and ordered a variety of items. If you decide to get anything here, choose the vermicelli. We ordered the egg roll and grilled pork vermicelli(added extra grilled shrimp) and it was delicious! The grilled pork was slightly charred and the egg rolls were nice and crispy like the real deal. We also had the the shrimp spring rolls which were light and refreshing with the peanut sauce. As for the phở, it was a bit underwhelming. The flavor department of the broth was lacking, and the sliced rare steak was not very rare at all, but they give you the veggies/herbs that typically come with phở(Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, chili pepper, but NO culantro/ngo gai). Also was not impressed with the boba I ordered with my iced coffee and condensed milk drink. I’m very particular about boba texture, as it should be slightly chewy yet soft. This boba did not have the resiliency I was looking for — I could go on about this for days but considering this isn’t their specialty I won’t do that. The restaurant is small and has a mom and pop vibe to it. There weren’t too many people and service was prompt. Overall, a nice place to get lunch, but I’d only return for the vermicelli.

Ugh this place. I tried once and it’s a pain in the ass for parking because they have none. I had some rice dish that was not horrible but not good either. It’s not worth it for me to drive over for some mediocre asian food when I can have thai deli across the street. I’m REALLY annoyed at their marketing tactics because they keep leaving their damn menus on my car in the parking lot while I’m at work. They’ve done it twice in one week and it pisses me off more that I’ll definitely never go back. It’s not environmentally friendly, I HATE it when people touch my car, they forced me to shove their paper garbage in my car because I’d rather not create litter at my place of employment. Super annoying, STOPPUTTINGMENUSONCARSINPARKINGLOTS!!!

Still not happy with the service. Called and made a to-go order. Asked how long it’d take. «10 minutes they said.» Nope. Another 10 – 15 mins later pass by and my boyfriend is still waiting. They forget his coffee, and get my order wrong. I asked for Phở Tai — aka RAW meat on the side. Annoyed. Especially after I decided to give it a second chance.

Great little place in an area otherwise covered by fast food. The price is on point and the food was very tasty. Would highly recommend!

We were here for a late lunch. The place seems opened recently and doesn’t feel messy, but no décor or whatsoever. Only two other tables taken and definitely not busy but the staff seem cannot take cues that we’re ready to order and had to try several times to get their attention. I tried the chicken phở, which states pulled chicken meat on the menu. However it’s just cut slices of white meat. Not good quality chicken meat. The broth is bland to pitiful taste that I had to put tons sauces. The places like Golden Deli in Monterey Park that have more flavorful broths, but not sure about msg; but I digress. Maybe I will give it another go.

I got the chicken phở(#11) for take out. Added veggies. It was a good portion of food. The broth was very bland(tasted like water) which most likely can be remedied by some soy sauce, but sadly there wasn’t any in the take out bag(there was hoisin sauce and chili paste, Thai basil, peppers and bean sprouts). Overall, it hit the spot! Also, found street parking pretty easily. Not sure if I got lucky but it was a bit after lunch time(2ish) so maybe that’s why…

This is on our list of local eats that we tend to rotate through. A few things to consider: Parking: I’m not exactly sure where to park. I have my coworker drop me off at the loading zone and I run in and grab the food and run out. If you have to park and dine in – good luck? Food: For a phở place it isn’t bad, their broth isn’t super rich, and is on the lighter side. They do seem to quick cook their«not-so-rare» beef, but it doesn’t taste off, it’s just different than what most people are used to. I am wondering if they do this to keep people from freaking out from having blood-red-not-cooked beef in their food, particularly, when it is to go. They do not have a wide variety of options on their menu like other phở places do(no tripe), but for their price(regular phở are only $ 7-$ 7.50) it is quite a bargain. They also throw in a free lemonade for every entrée. I sometimes get their grilled pork and egg roll vermicelli($ 7.00) and it is quite a lot of food and pretty decent tasting. If you live in the area or work around it, not a bad place for decent phở. We have started going to here for our phở runs because it is so much closer than driving to Chinatown or Alhambra. They are good enough to get me and my coworkers through our phở caterings, and well worth the price!

Good phở. Bad service. Inconsistent food. I’ve been here multiple times but they just can’t seem to get it right consistently. I’ve talked to the owners and wait staff in a positive way but I feel like they just don’t have what it takes to be great. It’s not for lack of effort. I think they just don’t know how to deal with issues.(E.g. I mentioned there was no brisket in my order and they say thanks and they’ll put more in next time. Nice but not exactly helpful.) Broth too salty sometimes. Inconsistent toppings portions. Inadequate customer service. For the most part the phở is good all things considered, but I can’t quite recommend it to others.

The food here is very good, I don’t know if it is connected to the Phở Pasteur in Rosemead. The style of cooking and taste are almost identical. The one in Rosemead has a bigger selection. The one thing different about this place is that they serve steamed vegetables with their rice dishes which is unusual for a Vietnamese restaurant. The problem is parking, there is none. Street parking is almost none existent unless you park on the new strip mall across the street. I always park on the red zone because I always order by phone for pickup.

Food wasn’t all that great. The free lemonade is gross! Parking is really really bad! Unless you park by lasc USC hospital and walk here Go for it. Seems like they are bored most of the time. I wouldn’t be coming back here. Unless they make their phở 100 times better.

Excellent ph!!! Great grill chicken. Don’t let the dark window fool you. I’m a Phở connoisseur and this has my vote. So glad we stopped by in our way home to the Bay Area.

Finally decided to give them a try again and it tasted pretty good. This time around, though, I tried their vermicelli instead of their Phở. Specifically, I tried their Egg rolls with Grilled Pork Vermicelli. At $ 7, it was a good size and it had a good mix of ingredients. The ingredients were fresh and the pork was not too charred. It was good enough portion to fill me up. There is no longer free soda with a meal purchase. However, there is free lemonade with a meal purchase.

I was a bit disappointed with the quality of the phở for this place. I usually feel that phở generally tastes pretty similar wherever I order it, I can tell slight differences in how everything is prepared from place to place. I almost always end up ordering phở tai with meat on the side. For this place, the raw meat came out first, and looked as if it were never even alive. I’m not sure if it this meat had been freezer burned, or if it had just been sitting out for a while, but it was noticeably browned… A good thing about the phở was that the portion size for a regular bowl is actually quite large. However, the phở noodles were a bit hard and didn’t appear to break down very well. I did not like the consistency of the noodles. Sadly, I didn’t want to finish my regular bowl of phở that was $ 7. I also ordered the $ 6 egg rolls, which I felt was a bit overcooked. pretty sure they were in the deepfryer a lot longer than it should have been. However, the egg rolls were not horrible in flavor. The main reason I was unhappy with this place was because I was very dissatisfied with the phở. The service did not win me over either as I felt the servers could have been much more attentive. The restaurant was so awkwardly quiet too until they finally turned on their TV that gets horrible reception. Anyway, if you come here, hopefully you have a better experience than mine.

Pros: –Food is tasty. –Free lemonade + refills with order. –Prices are reasonable. Cons: –YUUUUUCK! Found a hair sticking out of the end of my Spring Roll. Guess they don’t wear hair nets in the kitchen. :( –The young female worker who’s always there(most likely the owners’ daughter) answers the phone with just a ‘Hello.’ Really? Who does that? So unprofessional! Anyone calling the restaurant wouldn’t even have a clue as to which business they just called. She’s also very reserved and doesn’t have a single drop of personality in her. Geeeez! Act a little bubbly and smile even if you have to fake it. After she delivers the food to the table, she never returns to see how things are going or if you need anything. Fail! Hire a REAL waitress/waiter who genuinely loves customers.

Was a little skeptical of this place. But of course, can’t come to a quick judgement without trying it. Food was better than expected, pretty quite and empty which was relaxing and we enjoyed that on a Saturday night very much. b Because the food was more than excellent in taste and we weren’t bothered or had no complaints, we left a sweet $ 20.00 tip… just to feel like we helped a family business at least a little? We will come back.

There’s nothing like a good phở on those cold cold days to keep you warm. Well, we had 84 degrees outside this afternoon and the phở was still good. I had the vegetables phở with tofu which was exactly what I’ve needed after a carnivorous weekend. Place is very clean and the service is great. Will be back.

Great place and great taste! It’s kind of slow on the weekends, which I love because those Little Tokyo lines are redonk!!! This place is quick and they can accommodated all our little annoying requests — chicken on the side as my friend is vegetarian; extra broth please; 2 extra plates please to share… super nice folks. Oh and the Thai Tea… BOMB! I’d go back just for that, but my fave was that chicken plate — don’t know how they marinate their chicken or how they get their white rice so soft but momma’s sold!

I went here for lunch during their soft opening. Pros: — close to hospital — fast service — restaurant spacious and clean Cons: — We had ordered Phở #1&4. It is $ 7 for small and $ 7.50 for a large. I would say that meat is not of high quality. — The broth is good but doesn’t have that deep meaty taste I’m use to expecting from great phở. –I also didn’t like that their menu pricing changed significantly. I ordered ice coffee. Their to go menu said $ 1.50, their in store menu said $ 2.75 but they charged me $ 3 my bill despite my pointing out the discrepancies. Would probably not come back, unless I hear differently from my coworkers or friends.
