Cool little deli place right in the heart of Chinatown! They have boba(tapioca pearl) drinks, vietnamese banh mi sandwiches, fried egg rolls/chicken/banana/potato/etc … Fried everything! FOOD– Special Combination Banh Mi($ 3.00) — basically the go-to banh mi sandwich choice because it has a little bit of everything in it. What I liked most about this banh mi was the bread. The outside was crispy while the inside was soft and had a nice little crunch to it(but tasted fresh.) Fried sweet potato/banana — one of my favorite places to get this in LA. If you come on the weekends they typically are making it almost every hour or so because they sell out so fast. It is usually fried to perfection and has a golden yellow look. If you are lucky enough to get a fresh batch, it is amazing! DRINKS– Thai Tea w/Boba($ 3.00) — lady accidentally made a milk tea for me even though I asked her three times and she said yes it’s a thai tea! Her manager came out and I asked her too and she ended up saying it was a milk tea. Make sure they get your drink order right because one of them doesn’t know the difference between milk tea and thai tea. It’s not the best thai tea i’ve had but for a hole in the wall its definitely a «good cheap drink» if you know what i mean… PARKING — its terrible all over Chinatown. I would advise you to find a metered parking spot as those are only $.25 cents for every 30 minutes while other lots will cost you at least $ 4-$ 5.

Had their red meatball on a stick. The lady tells me that she had no more but was willing to make some more. I gladly accepted and bought four, totaling to $ 8. The lady then put the meat on the microwave(YESTHEMICROWAVE) which made me skeptical, but gave her the benefit of doubt. After microwaving the meat for a good 5 minutes, she places them into a bag, and I’m on my way. Immediately, I noticed a strong smell of fish sauce. I take out one of the red meatball on a stick and nibble on a piece. THESCENTOFTHEFISHSAUCEHADMORETASTETHANTHEACTUALMEATBALL. I had another nibble ONLYTOTASTEDISAPPOINTMENTANDASS. Most Refreshing Drink Ever! I like how you can choose $ 3 for Full Glass of Ice, $ 3.50 for half ice, and $ 5 for no ice. The juice was strong and wasn’t diluted. You can see them juicing the canes in front of you! Try it!

I pass by this spot all the time but today an excited crowd surrounding the outside stand caught my attention. I have had the smoothies in the past and bought produce from here but never tried any of their fried treats. They were selling eggrolls, fried bananas, fresh squeezed juices. Fried bananas were 60 cents each, so cheap and so worth it! They were covered in a crispy fried batter on the outside and soft on the inside. I was also delightfully surprised to see that they were actually plantains. One of the things i like about this place most is its convenience. it allows me to eat and shop at the same time. The food here is also super cheap which is reason enough to come. Highly recommend this place if you are nearby and want something quick and cheap to munch on!

Located outside of the Saigon Plaza. They have a huge variety of fruits for you to choose from. I saw many people ordering the sugar cane juice as well! But the thing that caught my eye was the fried bananas(2 for $ 1). They just brought out a fresh batch so I had to get it, but sadly… it didn’t taste all that good. It lacked flavor and it wasn’t that crunchy either.

Love the fresh squeezed orange juice and sugar cane juice! There’s other fried snacks too.
