Been to this place a few times! I tried Phở Bac(per owner this is the best they have) & also its name! Personally, the food here is okay. People are friendly! A desert at the end was a sweet extra!!:)

AMBIANCE&SERVICE: Your typical casual hole in the wall Vietnamese phở place with its usual service so I won’t dock points there. Phở bac: 4.5÷5 –my favorite thing to order because love the ginger broth and the wider noodles –the ground meat is pretty good too(although I have had better at one OC restaurant, but still) Pork chops with rice: 4.5÷5 It’s good here too I enjoy the Viet dessert(aka che) they give you at the end. It’s the type with small tapioca pearls with like mashed mung beans and ginger. Just like the che my family makes. OVERALL: Solid Vietnamese phở restaurant. Pretty good phở’s and rice dishes. My family goes here now instead of Phở So 1(but that’s cos I enjoy the Phở bac particularly. Otherwise it’s almost the same imo)

The phở is the wider noodles and the broth did have a more ginger flavor… but they were still amazing!!! They get 4 stars for their treatment if me, my 20 year old and my 10 month old. They went above and beyond to accommodate me and they have earned a customer for life here!

For a restaurant that wasn’t busy, the people here sure acted like they had better things to attend to, rather than provide a good dining experience. The place was a mess, with some of the booths cluttered with other renovation projects in the restaurant and I’m not sure why it took awhile for someone to take my order. Anyhow, my seafood phở was $ 6.99 for a small and came with all the typical fixings on the side. Price was on point, but I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of the broth or remember anything really remarkable about my meal or this establishment. Unfortunately, The Valley has so many other choices for Vietnamese food and I have so little time for places that don’t provide quality service, food and atmosphere.

This is my favorite phở place in the valley even though I don’t usually order phở when I come here. I always order their rice plate or vermicelli noodles. Occasionally I’ll order some phở since it’s cold outside. My go to dishes would be there: Com Bo/Ga Nuong(rice w/charbroiled beef/chicken), Bun Thit Bo Nuong Cha Gio(vermicelli noodles w/charboiled beef and eggrolls), or Phở Tai. The reason I love this place is cause I find their meats to be so flavorful and tender. You can definitely taste the char on their meats. Compared to the tasteless meats at Phở 999 and Phở So 1. As for the broth for their phở, it’s a bit more on the sweet side which I actually like. Though that might not be for some people. On top of that you can request for hanh dam(pickled onions) on the side and it’ll have that nice vinegar taste to it just like how my grandma does it at home. I have also tried their spring rolls which were decent. Their egg rolls are yummy. Have that nice crunchy exterior. The banh beo chen is okay but not the best I’ve had since I frequent OC often. The hu tieu xao is good. Just wish there was more sauce on it. The service is good. All the workers are nice and sweet. Been here so many times with my best friend that they already recognize our face. The only gripe I have about this place is that their portions can be bit a small but the flavor is there so I think it’s still worth it. TLDR; If you order any foods with charboiled meat it’ll be delicious. The broth for phở is a bit on the sweeter side. They also give a complimentary mung bean dessert at the end. Interior is just like any other phở place.

When the description on the menu states«breast meat» one expects exactly that… this is not even remotely breast meat.

I’m so glad that we found this gem of a place! I was a regular at Phở 999 and Phở So1 but the quality has gone down the drain on those places! But I’m sooooo sooooo happy to have found this place which was recommended by a friend. First of… the place is clean with a great ambiance & relaxing music. Food wise… we ordered the house special beef phở, chicken phở and imperial eggrolls. The broth was EXCELLENT! The meat was fresh not rubbery unlike the other places! Let’s not forget the great customer service! If you haven’t tried this spot… it’s a MUST! YOUWON’T REGRETIT! A DEFINITEGOTOPLACE in the Valley!

Honestly one of the best phở places I’ve ever been. Went while I was sick and around CSUN and it didn’t disappoint. The broth was very good meat super tender(I got the brisket) fresh ingredients and great portion size. I would recommend this to anyone who is around the area. Service was also phenomenal filled up my water 2 or 3 times and brought dessert.

Ok. Bar None. This is the best Phở place in the San Fernando Valley — it beats all the other Phở So’s or Phở 999’s out there. OMG. Best quality served here. You can def taste the difference! This will be my first choice of Phở for every phở craving I have #10 pork bun me — great! The regular phos — delish! #17YUM — WTP = what the phở :-P

My friend whom seems to know more about Vietnamese cuisine more than I had suggested me to come here for some phở. He states when you order phở, the server should give you a extra small bowl of onion in broth. It supposedly means the phở is really good. Now, with this extra bit of information. does this mean I have been eating phở the wrong way? Despite the lack of a/c… I decided to give this place a chance. The Phở is okay and the spring rolls were not to my standards. I prefer something more tasteful. The broth was not even that great. The noodles(phở) was meh. There was no music to enjoy the phở with either. Not that music plays a big role in it. I am just so used to eating in a Vietnamese restaurant with some sort of music playing in the background and enjoying the A/C. Now they did offer dessert which was mung bean soup. Really good!!! But that was maybe the only highlight of the meal. Will I come back here again? Maybe not. Will I bring my family and friends to try this place out? Maybe. I rather go back to my stomping grounds of Chatsworth and enjoy some Phở Saigon 1.

Cheap and good Vietnamese food. Came on a Thursday at 4 with a friend and we were the only two in the restaurant. We split spring rolls and the banh beo(steamed rice cakes), both were fine. Phở was good and you get a pretty big bowl. At the end of the meal they give a free dessert soup. I thought it was going to be overbearingly sweet, but it wasn’t and there’s a pretty strong ginger taste to it. Like any Vietnamese restaurant you will need to flag down your server if you need something, but he seemed more than happy to do it.

This place must be new because my first time trying it out and I was half expecting the type of experience I would get if I was visiting a Phở 999 or a Phở So 1 where they would rush you to your seat. Rush you on our order and rush you with your bill. Ha Ha none of that here with the service being a lot more laid back and friendly. Maybe its because its not packed or super busy yet. I’m giving this place points for also being super clean. Reviews on the Phở itself. Tasted great. I’m generally not the biggest fan of Phở so you probably shouldn’t rely on my tasting opinion too much but I thought it tasted slightly better than the other two big franchise Phở restaruants in the valley. My friends who do like Phở, loved it though so there 5 stars for that alone.

Came here for the first time with friends… wanted to try another Phở place besides Phở So 1. So glad we did. The one problem if it’s your first time coming here is that the sign is not noticeable. The only reason I found it easily was because my friend told me what it was next to(which I forgot). Parking is in the back and it’s free. The sign is small in the back entrance, as well. I got the Vegetable Phở and it was full of flavor… best one I’ve yet to taste. My friends liked their phở too. The small is pretty dang big, so unless you’re extremely hungry, I’d stick to that. They also give a tapioca, ginger pudding or something at the end of the meal and it tastes so good! The servers are also very nice. We stayed there for about an hour after we finished eating and got no ugly stares or complaints. Didn’t feel like they were rushing us out! Will be back :)

Not the best I’ve ever had but good enough for me. I was re-taking a cpr first aid class across the street and Unilocaled the nearest restaurants. Phở in 104 degree weather? Why not?! ok maybe not the smartest idea I’ve ever had but whatever. I believe i ordered #23, which comes with a bunch of beef stuff, I ate it. but I rather not have the beef ball in there. I wish they had more options with the beef noodle soups. It was ok though. $ 6.75 for a small(and by small it could feed two mes lol) I was pleasantly surprised when they brought me a tiny-hot-tampioca-ginger thing for dessert, i guess included with all meals. Whatever I tried it.

Unilocal does not lie! This is the best phở restaurant I’ve had in a LONG time! And it’s crazy how it happens to be in the Valley! I have tried phở everywhere in the valley, Orange County and Rosemead and this definitely makes it to the top! Their phở is so delicious and so filling! My fiancé and I was able to share a large bowl with my fiancé while I also ordered the Banh Beo and he ordered Com Bo Luc Lac. The broth of the phở was extremely delicious! You could already tell when it comes to you by the smell. The meats served were perfect and they also gave the perfect amount as well. My Banh Beo dish was extremely mouthwatering! Oh my gosh, it’s so hard for me to find Vietnamese restaurants with this dish, let alone find one that taste good. This was made fresh and they are not stingy at all! The fish sauce that came with it was also delicious and flavorful. My fiancé’s meat dish did not disappoint either. Meet was cooked well and came with both cooked and raw onions as well as a whole garlic was cooked in our fish. We eat a lot and we ended up not finishing our food because all the flavors satisfied us and made us extremely full. Free dessert is given at the end which is ginger tapioca pudding. Delicious and less sweet than other places which I enjoyed. Both wooden and metal chopsticks or spoon and forks are an option. You are taken care of well here. By the way, my fiancé is Vietnamese AND he’s worked in a couple of authentic Vietnamese restaurants himself, and he approves of this place! So this place is definitely good! :) As for service, our waiter was very friendly and made sure everything was okay. When we asked for take or boxes, he offered to pack our food for us. The place is clean and they have different workers doing different things(waiter, bus boy, cashier) how t should be and not like some Vietnamese restaurants where the workers do everything. This restaurant is located in a plaza and has plenty of parking in the back. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Ordered the Phở with Swai and Shrimp. Broth looked and smelled very authentic, however, it was somewhat unexciting in taste at first. Siracha and lime definitely helped and brought out most of the flavor back. Shrimp tasted very similar to cheap, frozen shrimp and the swai was a bit overcooked. Noodle and soup portions were good and so were the meat portions. Watermelon smoothie is made with real fruit, but it should have stated made with pieces of real fruit instead. Free dessert at the end was very tasty. Actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. All in all, it’s a neat alternative to Phở So 1 and Phở 999. Cleaner, comparable and some more traditional dishes served as well.

I finally found a great Vietnamese restaurant serving phở(read it was Hanoi style) and spring rolls that are both far more superior than Phở So 1 and Phở 999. I can’t wait to try more things on the menu! The phở, spring rolls and even Arnold Palmer were all presented to me Instagram ready. I savored every bite of the house special phở(without tripe) for its fresher tasting meat and the lighter, but even more delightful broth compared to the more popular phở restaurants nearby. Highly recommended for phở and spring rolls in the Valley!!!
