Pretty good banh mi. I was picking up some phở next door and didn’t want to just have noodles. Bread was warm and flaky and pâté was smooth. There’s also a good amount of meat and veggies. $ 4 is a little more than I’m used to but it’s worth it for authentic banh mi in the valley.

As soon as you walk into this local ma and pa sandwich shop in Reseda, the overwhelming smell of freshly baked bread hits you right in the balls. LEGIT Banh Mi’s here, as authentic as you can get. Places like this this are what Unilocal is all about. Was recommended by a client, now I’m a lifer. Cash only. Tip accordingly :)

The sweetest ladies work here! Came in and was greeted by these ladies with big smiles. I got a banh mi sandwich for about $ 3.50 and it was bomb! Best I’ve had in the valley!!! Their bread is truly what makes the sandwich so delicious. Freshly baked and soft. Not hard as a rock like other places. Way better than lee’s or vans sandwiches or even sandwich express. If you want good banh mi sandwiches for a great price, definitely try this place out!

I think management keeps changing at this location because the menu was definitely different from the first time I went. The first time I tried this place, the sandwich was decent. It’s not my go-to bahn mi place so I haven’t gone to the location in a while. However, a couple of weeks ago, I was pressed for time and in the shopping lot of this place so I decided to to-go some sandwiches. The service is slow… but they are so nice! They said they only accepted cash and I thought I didn’t have any. I found out after they were done making the sandwiches. The lady said with a smile that we could pay her next time! How sweet is she? Thankfully, I found out that we did have some cash. But… if only the food was as great as the service. I don’t mean to sound mean, but it was one of the worst bahn mi’s I’ve tasted… It was lacking flavor and my charbroiled pork was so dry. I doubt I will ever go here again. Such a shame too.

I used to come here over 6 years ago before they renovated got new signage and furniture, I ha e since moved away but always stop by to curb my Bahn mi cravings. Today I came in a ordered 5 sandwiches which came out to $ 20 and change. Of course I opened my wallet and realized I had no cash. Without hesitation the man who made my food said«don’t worry come back next time, it’s on us today». My jaw dropped, and I told them I would run to the ATM. He adamantly said«no its okay, see you next time» So I haven’t been back to this place in years and am in no way a regular. Even if I was I am amazed at how cool, nice and generous this family is. Also the sandwiches are freaking amazing and most of them are $ 3, I love this place. It’s so nice to get some old school mom and pop style service in the the valley a gem for sure!

I love Valley Sandwiches! They have it all — great prices, delicious food, and convenient location. I’ve tried barbecue pork, bbq chicken and grilled meatball, they are all delicious and made to order. Beware though — those jalapenos are HOT! The owner is such a sweet lady and makes me feel right at home whenever I come in. I don’t understand at all how anyone could give them a bad review.

Normally, I would view a food establishment with photographs of its offerings on the wall very skeptically. However, the pics are important here because you’ll find very little English being spoken – and that’s a GREAT thing! This place is authentic. Eighteen different Banh Mi sandwich options, and in a 45 minute lunch session on a Saturday, my wife and I were the only non-Vietnamese patrons, so you know you’re getting the real deal. We had the grilled pork sandwich and the fried egg option, plus a sparkling water and a Vietnamese iced coffee. The total came in just a smidge over $ 12. Insane. The sandwiches were fantastic. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork was perfectly done, and the cilantro, jalapeño, onions and carrots were all fresh and expertly balanced. I don’t live close by, but I did, and will again, go out of my way to eat here!

While I miss the sweet couple who ran LA Baguette, we came here today and loved the sandwiches. Crispy bread, tasty pâté and fresh greens and meats. Owner was very nice, brought over tea and the coffee was lovely too. Overall a great experience and I wish the new owners all the best and much success. Thank you for a delicious lunch.

I actually think the taste has improved with the new owners. Warm, soft yet crispy bread. I always get #1 and #12 and they are delicious. My favorite banh mi spot in the valley!

Really enjoy coming to this place. The sandwiches are great, and the quality of the meat is good. I always get the pork, and it never fails to satisfy.

I have been going here for more than 20 years. My favorite was the pork meatballs style sandwich, flavorful and moist. Unfortunately today I was extremely disappointed when I tried it again but made by the new owner. Wish I had bought one last one before they sold this place. This review is only for the pork meatball sandwich.

Been going for decades and now a new owner. Kinda grossed out. Flies are everywhere because for whatever reason they think keeping the screen door open is a good idea. Didn’t take my order when there are three of them screaming their heads off at each other in Vietnamese about how much things are costing. I’m just so disappointed and sad the previous owners are gone. The place looks new, great. The taste changed with the ingredient switches. I had a pâté cha lua, what people would probably call a pork roll with pâté. If you need to know, you can google pâté. Its a semi Vietnamese /French delicacy.

I had to turn my car in to get worked on and wanted to get something quick and light to eat for lunch while I waited. There’s not much in the area as most of the stores are closed down/look questionable. This place is pretty small and you’ll probably miss it if you’re not looking for it. Anyways, it is clean inside which was nice. I ordered number 11 which was bbq pork, pâté(don’t know what that is), mayo and it comes with all the Vietnamese sandwich veggies. The French roll was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft and warm in the center. What really got me was the pork though. It’s easy to overcook it and make it really chewy, but it was cooked perfectly. There was a lot of authentic flavoring and it was really juicy. Honestly one of the best Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve eaten. I would definitely recommend you to try it. It’s not really a sit down restaurant because it’s pretty small and they play some weird Asian music, but you should stop by and grab a sandwich.(I’m sitting in the restaurant as I write this and the music makes me feel like I’m in Asia! Hah)

This little place has some of the best sandwiches I ever had! The bread has a nice crispy outside while the inside is nice and soft. The flavors of the carrot, cilantro, mayonnaise, pepper, and pâté makes for an amazing experience. The staff English is not very good but they are nice and very friendly. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese sandwich. Highly recommended!

I love this place! It has to be like the best Banh mi shop in the Valley. I literally come here every week for lunch after class. I personally love the grilled pork with pâté. And when my bf tags along, he always eat two sandwiches every time we come here and trust me, he is a picky eater lol

My fiancé and I were upset about La Baguette closing, and were extremely disappointed by the new place that didn’t last very long. We are glad to be able to buy delicious, affordable banh mi again! We typically order #1 and #3 – both so tasty! My fiancé and I don’t live in the area, so we typically order a bunch to take home. I suggest getting any of the sandwiches with pâté. So delicious!

La Baguette is gone and the shop is under new ownership as Valley Sandwiches. Along with some well needed renovations, the quality of the food has also improved. This is saying a lot because I always thought very highly of the previous shop. The staff/ownership is very friendly and I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s definitely the best bahn mi spot I’ve ever tried in the valley.

I’m bias as I like vietnamese sandwiches. This is a new place so I need to come back to try it again. The $ 3.50 grilled pork sandwich with pâté was good. The french bread was softer than Sandwich express but it was toasted so the sandwich was warm. I think I like more crusty french bread. This place is fine for a quick snack.
