I ate here 3 x in the last 2 months. Every time was horrible. I’m not sure if I was actually served food or not. Ick.

if measured on a scale of 10, i’d say the 5.5 just about sums it up. what it has going for them is they smell damn good from the parking lot. and that’s pretty much it.

Who’d thought a Phở place owned by Koreans? Probably 2nd worst ever phở i had, worst place is( ). This restaurant has a menu of 18 – 20 items, mainly phở. As many people mentioned before the phở was bland and the broth was murky. It tasted more like instant phở then actually real phở that is cooked with real beef. Be careful the prices aren’t $ 5.50 anymore even though its still listed as that on the menu. The plus side of this place is that they give you extra onions and ciantro. Also the menu has pictures and it’s clean. Other than that I would not be returning here.

i’ve had a lot of good phở in my lifetime, and this phở is about average. however, i haven’t really been able to find too decent of a bowl of phở in k-town, so i usually have to settle for this place when im hungry for phở. it’s kind of funny because phở 5.5 is no longer $ 5.50 phở, they raised the prices to $ 6.00. can somebody tell them to change their sign to read phở 6.0? thanks. this place is opened pretty late, and it tastes pretty good when you’re trying to sober up. the eggrolls are a little better than average.

Being my first time eating phở I’m not sure what to look for or expect in a good bowl of phở. I had the #7 which had shrimp, fishcake, and green onions. I liked it and would like to try some of their other dishes. The soup had a nice little kick like it was on the verge of being spicy yet flavorful. I think I expected a little more meat but it still had plenty and to add extra meat was only 1 or 2 dollars anyway. One thing I noticed later was I liked it best after the soup had gotten a little cool but I think that had more to do with the hot day then the soup. I would go again.

Can someone open up a Phở restaurant and name it other than Phở –insert number-? If I ever find a Phở restaurant named by the following: Phở Pas, Phở Sure, Phở Real, Phở Nie, Phở Good, or even Phở Shizzy; I am there ready with my five star review. This place is located in a Koreatown mini mall and fairly bigger than a few Phở places I’ve been in the past. Also, it seems relatively cleaner than most ghetto Phở places I’ve visited with a remarkable«A» rating. I’m not a Phở connoisseur and they all sort of taste the same to me with small degrees of differences. This place is no different so that is why I gave it 3 stars. However, I must admit Phở really hits the spot during a wicked hangover.

When in Rome do as the Romans. So what was I thinking when I went to «K-town» and decided to eat Vietnamese noodles. There’s a perfectly delicious BCD tofu house in the front part of this complex but I detour from my usual route and go to the back of the lot to check out Phở 5.5. 5.5? Usually its a much higher number. 99 or 999. It turns out it because nearly everything on their menu is $ 5.55. Ok sounds cool, not expensive. Crap this place even has an «A» rating(while BCD has a «B» rating). Check it out and there are three tables of Koreans slurping away. So I order some Phở and some«egg rolls.» Boy was I wrong. The worst Phở ever. Bland soup. No flavor. Hardly any meat. Something was off about the noodles. Not soft. Where’s the basil? You get the sprouts and some limes but in place of basil you get a plate of onions. As for the egg rolls. They were small like lilttle Vienna sausages. Oily. Absolutely no flavor. To this day I still don’t know what was inside it. I counted 3 flies buzzing around inside as well. My guest also agreed. The worst Phở ever. Phở 5.5 was minus 10.5. There are plenty of other delicious Korean restaurants in K-town. Save your time and 5 bucks. Go elswhere.
