I used to like this place until the owner became dishonest. I have purchased their food using credit cards several times… one day, he said cash only. then I saw him in the distance accepting credit card with the next customers. I’ll never go here again.

This review is for the Phở 2000 inside Koreatown plaza food court only. In summary, this is the only place that I would never eat at again at Koreatown plaza. It’s a waste of food and money. The food quality was very poor. We ordered a Plain Phở, a phở tai, and eggrolls, No meat in the phở tai, no basil for the phở, and the eggrolls were greasy as hell and oil dripped down my chin when I bit into my amateurishly wrapped eggrolls. We ate the eggrolls(we shouldn’t have) and didn’t even finish the Phở. Ended up ordering a tonkatsu plate from another booth and eating that instead. I rarely write bad reviews. This place richly deserved this review. Avoid this place and try any of the other booths. :-)

I paid a little over $ 7 for a HUUUUGE bowl of Phở with meatballs. I loved it! I’m usually a big eater, but the sheer amount of broth and noodles this pace gives you will fill you up and you’ll still have enough for Kroger’s l leftovers. Your order congress with a side of raw onions and another plate with bean sprouts and cilantro. They don’t give you basil leaves here, maybe because it’s pricy, but I was happy with the cilantro. The meat balls I got were very big and bouncy. They tasted great and I really enjoyed the food. I live how quick the service was bc I had a very short lunch break and needed to eat quickly. I’ll definitely come back for more Phở.

You can get a massive bowl of phở for $ 5 that will fill two people’s bellies. It’s not super flavorful(no strong anise spices here), but if you’ve only got $ 5 and need a warm meal, this is the best place to go. And the guy running it is adorable.

I dunno what’s up with these reviews. I’m not an expert in phở, but I have had it numerous times from at least a handful of places, and while this was not the best phở I’ve ever had, it certainly wasn’t bad. 3 ½ stars for taste, bumped to 4 stars because holy frelling crap is that a lot of food for 5 bucks. But really, it wasn’t bad phở, either. The broth wasn’t bad, just a little watered-down-tasting, but it came with plenty of toppings, the toppings were totally fresh as far as I could tell, it came with plenty of noodles, which were also good, and plenty of meatballs, which were also good. And after eating some of it(though I took a lot of leftovers home, due to being silly and ordering something else, because I didn’t think 5 dollars would be very much phở)… I certainly didn’t experience any stomach issues either then or the next morning(which this is). Maybe I just have low standards when it comes to getting that much food for 5 bucks? I dunno. I think my standards are pretty reasonable.

Usually go here as a regular if I want cheap and easy phở noodles if I’m in a rush during lunch hour. They bring food pretty fast within minutes with large portions. The noodles are OK for a food court. As other reviewers said, it’s not much in the flavor department and they add a lot of MSG to compensate for it so I usually use a lot of siracha and brown sauce on top of the noodles and mixed in the broth. Egg rolls are fine and so are the veggie wraps. Pretty cheap with large portions at a price taste wise. But hey its Korea Plaza.

if you are a Phở connoiseur such as me… I would not recommend coming here if you are big on taste. The 24⁄7PHO2000 that used to be on Western that closed down was way better than this. But I thought going to this new location would be the same thing or the same people in the kitchen. But I was wrong! its Korean owned. The phở had no flavor ATALL. Ahjuma brought our phở out in less than 5 mins. Quick service is good. But I dont mind the wait as long as its prepared the right way. There wasnt much meat and VERYLITTLENODDLES. It was tasteless. Even after putting sriracha and hosin sauce in it. The veggies were NOT fresh. The bean spouts were brown and bitter tasting. You could look at it and just know. The limes were dried up. There wasn’t any juice. I asked for more. Hopping to get some fresh ones but she only brought out the same tiny dried up cubed limes. o_O They didnt even have basil nor Cilantro. Overall, It was like getting someones left overs. And to top it off… our stomach didnt like it so much either afterwards. I absolutely wont be coming here again. Ill stick to my favorite places in china town, little saigon and the 626

Fast food phở! It was ready in 2 minutes. Can’t beat the speed… You do get your money’s worth because the portions are huge. But then again, all of the portions in this food court is huge. So I say it’s A-Ok for those that want lots of food for very little money and willing to give up on the taste of quality. It’s kinda bland tasting. But why are you getting phở in Korean Plaza??? Get Korean food!!!
