Expensive dive but great for sharing! Huge portions. We did 8 people, 4 dishes-$ 90 with 4 coffees. Brought home leftovers. Service was excellent. Cash $ only.

My omelette had neither prime rib or caviar, so I have no idea of why it was $ 17 And the interior was kinda run-down, so I have no idea of why my omelette was $ 17 And they didn’t accept cards, so you get charged $ 2.50 to use the ATM, so I have no idea of why my omelette was $ 17 While the omelette was large and tasty, and came with crispy home fries, it’s still pretty simple and cheap ingredients, so I have no idea of why my omelette was $ 17

Greedy motherfuckers. I’ll give them one extra star for the food, which is great. But their prices have become obscene. $ 17 for an omelet? I thought it was bad when they raised the price to $ 13 a few years back, but I could at least justify that as worth a splurge every now and again. But now, no way, just on principle alone. Yes, you get huge portions. No, I don’t really want enough food to feed a family of 4 for breakfast. Nor do I want to have to split my meal to justify eating there. I’ll go to a restaurant where we can each order what we want, thank you. On the plus side, their new pricing seems to have taken care of those pesky weekend crowds. The place used to get packed, but today, Sunday at 9 am, there was exactly 1 other couple in the restaurant. We didn’t even stay, once we saw the prices we got the hell out of there and went up the street to Abby’s, where the omelets were literally half the price of this place. If you like this place, enjoy it while you can I guess. These idiot owners are obviously trying to put themselves out of business. No sane restaurant owner would sacrifice 20 tables of business just to get an extra $ 5 out of each of the remaining customers. No idea what’s going on in their heads.

Old school since 1977. Over the years I’ve driven by this place but it never caught my eye to want to pull over and try it out. We came out here on Valentine’s Day for breakfast and luckily it wasn’t crowded. We ordered the vegetarian omelet, house potatoes, and sour dough bread. The waitress told us it was a big order so we ended up sharing it, thank goodness we did because it was plenty of food for the both of us. Very good and flavorful food without a long wait.

I felt like I just left a bizarre alternate universe. I got a tuna melt and my wife attempted to eat«chilaquiles». I put that in quotes because it was just eggs and cheese with random strips of limp tortillas. It was so weird. She got about 1 bite in before she called it quits and sent it back, canned beans and all. My tuna melt came with weird soggy frozen fries and so much relish that it was weirdly sugary. The bread was so oily that it looked like I had just changed the oil on our car. The best part is what others have mentioned: the prices are absurd. Omelettes range from $ 13 – 19. I thought«these people are either totally disconnected from reality, or the food is amazing.» Turned out it it was the former. The one positive I can say is the server seemed nice enough. He luckily took the chilaquiles off the bill, though he told us he didn’t have any $ 1s for change, so he gave us an extra dollar back so that we could go ahead and tip him $ 5(over 30%). So weird. Bizarre experience.

Holy moly! The portions for their breakfast meals are huge! My friends wanted to come here for brunch and deng, I am so full! I ordered the Johnny omelette and it comes with a side of potatoes and either toast or a biscuit. It was super filling, I probably ate a little less than half the plate and now I have another meal for dinner. Who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner?! My friends each ordered the French Toast? Bananza. They really enjoyed the French toast. It was crunchy and looked super delicious. It comes with a side of eggs and sausage or bacon. I’ll probably come back if I’m looking for a place to get super satisfied from a large meal. I’ve lived in this area for almost 20 years and I’ve never tried it til today. I’m glad I did :)

Many of my family members love this place. The 3 stars I am giving them is me trying to be gracious. Sure, their omelettes are huge but I feel they are too heavy, overdone and way too pricey! I just don’t get it about this place.

Although I prefer sitting in the outdoor area, the indoor area is where the beginning breakfast scene in Reservoir Dogs was shot. So check it out. I’ll admit, the menu seems pricy. It is over $ 16 for most omelettes — which are their speciality. But the portions are *double* — seriously way more than you would expect even at a portion-heavy diner. The last time I was there the two-egg and bacon breakfast came with three eggs and 12(twelve!!) pieces of bacon, along with rice, beans, and a bread. You do not have to pay extra for a biscuit to be your bread with the breakfast, and it is more than three times the size of a KFC biscuit. And the food is good. They always have some of the best things of the menu on «special» — meaning they are about $ 3 off. Try those. Try the chile verde omelette with pork. Yum. The chicken fried steak is good too. I like that I can walk here, but there is a lot and ample street parking. Service is good. They take only cash.

Delicious and very generous portions here. I got a coffee and a BLT; the bacon was nice and crispy and there was plenty of it! The fries were also nice and crispy! The amount of bacon on my boyfriend’s plate was massive and amazing! My friends also enjoyed their biscuits and gravy and omelette. The outdoor area was cute, but nothing fancy. The bathrooms are outside, so that was odd — but whatever! Come here if you like diner food with large portions!

Used to eat here all the time during college. Have been here 200+ times if I had to estimate. Located in a quiet neighborhood in Eagle Rock. Outside and indoor seating available. A smallish type parking lot but there is plenty of street parking. This is one of the best breakfasts in LA in my opinion. Omelettes are gigantic and filled with delicious ingredients. My favorite is the Johnny omelette, which has ham, onions, tomatoes, bellpeppers, and mushrooms. Back in the day I used to get country sausage with two eggs scrambled and a bagel. Made my own breakfast sandwich. Their sausage has the perfect flavor. Their rice and beans are also amazing. Rice is never dry, and the beans are soft and yummy. The salsa that they offer is great. It isn’t very thick, but contains tons of flavor. They dice up tons of different vegetables and spices. Goes perfect on the rice. Only drawback to the restaurant is the prices, which is why I am not giving 5 stars. They are inflated and ridiculous. 15 years ago I could get an omelette for 10 bucks. Now I pay $ 20 after tax and tip. I think because they are located near Occidental they figure they can charge rich college kids as much as they want. In the meantime, they are ripping off the general public. Also, since this restaurant was filmed in the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs, I’m guessing they are banking on tourists coming to check it out. To their credit, the portions are very large and you get a good amount of food, so you get about $ 20 worth of food. You can always split an omelette if you want. Strictly food speaking, this place is five stars. Laid back atmosphere, never too busy. Service is always good, friendly staff. I think it’s been the same family for years. I recognized this little kid who used to clear plates, now he’s a server and about 6 feet tall. I’m getting old haha. Awesome breakfast. 4.5÷5

Walked in, saw a list of omelettes $ 14.95 and up, most around $ 16.95 and $ 9.99 for ONE egg ‘any style’ and walked out. Cash only to add insult to injury. This is not a fancy enough place to justify these outrageous prices.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a casual breakfast spot and got really excited when we stumbled upon this place. The atmosphere and staff were perfect! Unfortunately, we opened the menu to find that the omelet was $ 17 and a plain grilled cheese was &11. To me, that is an unfair price. We thanked our server, paid for the coffee and OJ, and left to find a breakfast place that has fair prices.

Been looking for a good diner around the Glendale area to compare to the ones back home in the bay. Tried this place out and was happy with it. Although, it is pricey as hell! $ 16 for an omelette is waaay not what I’m used too. The biscuits and gravy are nothing to praise about(the gravy way really just a milk gravy, lacking pepper, seasonings, or pork flavor). I think I’m just spoiled with my family’s Oklahoma gravy recipe. The chili verde omelette was pretty good, nice tenderness to the pork, potatoes were really good! The biscuits are good and fluffy. The service was a little weird, our waiter kinda made a back handed comment to my bf that we didn’t appreciate. Over all pretty good, but too pricey to eat at regularly

We used to come her once a month. Food is good, service was decent. However this negative review is for the prices. Almost a 50−60% increase from not even 6 months ago. $ 17 for an omlett? $ 13 for 2 bisquits and gravy? Cmon guys. Get real. I have many friends who feel the same, your going to lose business and lose customers. Sorry to say but Goodbye.

Amazing place to come with family and friends! I’ve been coming since I was a kid. Portions are huge and delicious. Feels kinda like breakfast at grandma’s. Just make sure to bring cash if not they have an atm.

Great food, great service. They serve breakfast all day. Portions are over sized which matching price tag. Wish they would control the portions to bring down the cost. They are still my go to place when I want a great breakfast any time during the day. I’ll just have to share my meal next time.

Great place for breakfast, especially if your hungry. They specialise in breakfast. They should call it the omelette house, because they have quite the variety of omelettes, and I haven’t had a bad one yet. Did I mention that the omelette are huge. They make their own biscuits, and yes, their huge too. They have a biscuit and gravy platter that’s gianormous, that could feed a small army. This place had been here for years and I knew it won’t be going anywhere soon

First time here and will not be my last. Cash Only but they have a ATM in case you forgot your cash or don’t carry it, ATM charges $ 2.50. Got there early and you sit yourself, very laid back and no rush. At the time only one older woman was both taking orders and charging, after a hour or so two more employees started to help after they arrived. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. They have a medium size parking lot but plenty of street parking as well. Ordered a cup of coffee and I went with the chili verde omelet and chose a biscuit rather then tortillas. Biscuit was big and so good, a bit crunchy outside but extremely soft inside, butter or jam complements it well of course. Chili Verde over a egg & Swiss omelet was outstanding, hope to be back again soon.
