The first time i ate here i was in complete disgust and vowed to never come back after my burger was pink in the middle. Against my word i went back but got chicken wings this time and the smelled terrible and tasted worse. Now i live down the street from this location and i must say it has improved tremendously i frequent here and my cheese burger combo with everything is always on point and steaming hot when i get there to pick it up.

Double King Chili burger. $ 9BOOOOM! I’ve had this massive burger 3 times, all a charm. It is large. It is very hot. It is properly cooked with nicely browned meat. The meat is well flavored, juicy and has nice crumbly texture. The chili is the absolute best«burger chili» ever. It’s more like beef broth that soaks into the meat and bun. Words can not describe the marriage of beef and chili except that it’s awesome. Lots of pickles, some lettuce a slice of tomato. The wait is always considerable for cooking, like 15 minutes, but worth it. There are no prices on the menu board which is kinda sketch, but I don’t think they are jacking the white guy here. I’ve found a couple decent burgers nearby so have not been back to MB in a while but today was bomb and I have the dirty shirt to prove it.

Poor customer skills. rude. my grandson ordered a cheeseburger with just mustard and catchup they put everything on it that he didn’t want. Then refuse to exchange it for the right order. he hadn’t left the place so I don’t see why they wouldn’t correct their mistake I called to complain and they played on the phone. theres no corporate office to call either. and theyve been rude to my son as well. I think their a bit prejudice to be honest. I’m not just throwing that card out there but if the shoe fits. They get an f in customer skills.

I’ve to a lot of burger places and this one is just the average type of it. Asada burrito was plane burrito, nothing taste so special about it, had a lot of burrito’s in my life and I can rate this one at 5/10, totally average. Lucky them the master burger was great, you gotta love that big fat burger, the smell of it is really intimidating and encouraging so you better prepare yourself to it atleast two of it when you come here. They’ve got pretty decent place, but I prefer the outdoor place of Mo Better Burgers.

I look on Yellow Pages app to see what time they close. It said 11:00 pm so I drove all the way to them and they said that they was closing in 10 min they can only make me one Master Burger so I said forget it. Next time I am stopping at Quick N’ Split on 135 st and Crenshaw.

I ordered enchiladas to go. After I received my order, I left. A few minutes later(anywhere between 5 – 7 minutes), I decided to partake in my food. It was terrible! –tortillas were super hard! –rice was cold and didn’t taste fresh. It tasted as if it had been refrigerated for a couple of days –cheese was not melted –enchilada sauce did not taste good Let’s just say I was not a happy camper after two bites. I went back to Master Burger to let them no of my dissatisfaction and asked for my $ 7 back. The employee refused to give me my money back! Can you believe that? He said no. His only solution to my problem was to allow him to pour more sauce on the enchiladas. No thanks! I would never, ever visit this location nor burger chain again. Not only was my food terrible but the customer service was even worse.

One of the best burger joints in LA. Guaranteed to get pocket checked by at least one homeless person while standing in line, but well worth it.

So t this has been my go to burger place for years, Saturday was the last straw. First of all, they continuously mess up orders, always check before leaving. On Saturday, the hubby and I came thru, ordered 2 Master burger combos. I added bacon, my hubby DOESNOT eat bacon. In fact I feel like a horrible person when I indulge in front of him. Anyway we get home, silly me didn’t check my order and lo and behold no bacon. Neither burgers have it, so we can’t just switch burgers. We drive back, hubby continues to eat and finds a long black hair in his burger. It so happened some onions fall out and when he reaches to put them back in the burger, the hair is just sitting, chilling on top of the onion. YUCK! The cook has the nerve to basically tell me that I’m lying about the missing bacon and tells me it was on my hubbys burger. Ummm, yeah never again. They remade my burger, but I was honestly to scared to eat it. Who knows what he did to that burger!!! Never again. Support black business and head over to Mo Betta Burgers, they treat you like royalty and the burgers are devine!

Read some of the reviews and pictures here on Unilocal.Decided to finally check it out for myself. Ordered the Double King with bacon and cheese. This monstrosity of a burger was as advertised! Huge 2 pound burger! Word to the wise… If you like tasting bacon on your burger, ask for extra bacon to accommodate all that meat! Burger was on point. I enjoy all the different dressings other burger places serve. But something about thousand island or in this case… Mayo and mustard just gives it that homemade taste. The fries were decent. Probably try the chili cheese fries on my next visit. But I also ordered the Carne Asada burrito. Man that burrito was nice. The meat had a nice seasoning on it and the beans and rice were homemade. Can’t lose coming here and grabbing some grub. I also saw wings on there menu which I’m also going to have to try. So I guess on my next visit, it’ll be wings and chili cheese fries!

Soooooo I just tried the carne asada burrito for the first time and it was pretty darn good! Simple and delicious! I usually get the bomb juicy turkey burger but this time I had to step out of the box and I’m glad I did! This place has really good food! I mean there isn’t anything I have not liked and whenever I recommend master burger to a friend they are always impressed and happy! Just make sure you check your order to make sure it’s correct as you should anyway and anywhere! Whelp Unilocal it’s time to get back to my lunch ;)

My friends and I stumbled across this place while on a quest to find the best burger in Los Angeles. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. Food: If you enjoy the classic burger and melt-in-your-mouth fries, this is the burger joint for you. The food was very generously portioned and extremely friendly on your wallet. For around $ 7, I ordered a huge chili cheese burger with a side of fries. And when I say huge I mean, «I had this for lunch and wasn’t hungry till breakfast the next day» huge. My favorite part of the burger was the patty itself. Unlike other classic patties, Masters’ patties have a hand-formed quality to them, providing you with a thick, juicy and extremely-filling cut of meat. And, a little note on the fries… the fries are thicker cut, crispy and greasy. Can you say yum?! Ambiance: This is one thing that this burger joint lacks. With the plexiglass, barred windows and the menus that plaster every available surface, it is almost impossible to see into the tiny burger shack. I’ll admit, I had my doubts. But if you can get past the looks, you will find a not-so-healthy, yet delicious burger that will keep you full and happy for hours. Quick Tip: You can save a good 20 minutes if you call and order ahead. Just remember to double check your order before you leave the burger joint.

Wow. My 1st experience here and a poor girl who was working alone the day after thanksgiving was overwhelmed. The orders were wrong, there was a long ling built up, and my order was anything but like the picture. I ordered the chilicheese fries but was skimped out on the fries, chili, and cheese. The large box packed the same amount of fries as you would get from Weinerchnitzel. There is no parking. Only street and good luck finding it if there are 10+ raging angry customers waiting in line for their orders that they places hours ago. The food is overly salted. The highlight was the hamburger patty which is handpacked… and rolled over and over on a table full of salt. THe bun was either over toasted, dry, expired, or all of the above. Not a good place to pick up food for people you love. Order this out if you know you’re going to a party full of people you hate.

Long story short: Greasy, tasty breakfast food. The chili looks like death but tastes great. The food is greasy, salty, fattening, but tasty! One gets bored with McDonald’s, Subway, Taco Bell, and other fast food crap. If you’re in the neighborhood, give it a shot!

A little hidden gem in the hood of Crenshaw and Adams by the Mobil gas station. I used to work in an elementary school not too far from here and my co-workers and I used to order lunch here at least once or twice a week. Teachers, Cops, locals, we all ate here! Sure, the place is protected by metal bars and you place an order/pay in a small hole where you can’t even see the person behind the counter. And sure, you might see someone getting robbed across the street, and people around looks away and pretend nothing is happening. It sure is worth it for the best homemade burgers, zuccini fries and pastrami fries!(No, seriously, I saw someone get robbed across the street and cops happen to pass by and you know… I’m not gonna get into it). I remember a co-worker and I always used to get their 2 lb Master burger and we would split it because it’s impossible for one person to eat the whole thing. Well, it’s possible, but we chose not to. Homemade, fat and thick hand formed patties(I’m assuming because they were never uniform) and always on point with the seasoning. So freaking good! It’s only take out! If you ever get lost in the area, I highly recommend it!!!
