I came here with my mom and sister. The beans and rice have no flavor. They need to put an ac. it took about 30 mins to just serve us water and our drinks. Also, we had to tell them to bring us the chips and sauce. Maybe it was just a bad day?

Food is ok at best(dry fajitas not enough flavor) but service is terrible. .rude waitresses to top it all off. I was there attending a birthday party. I understand getting food out is a priority but I asked for a cup of hot water to warm my baby’s bottle. had to ask several times and had to ask several waitresses. First waitress keeps refilling coffee, water glasses, and bringing drinks from bar but never brings cup of hot water. we ask her AGAIN15 min later and she says«oh that’s not going to work»(referring to warming milk with a cup of hot water)…we wait some more(10 more minutes?) and still don’t get it. So then we ask another waitress for the cup of hot water because she asked if we needed anything else(at this point everyone has there food and is eating. I was hoping to feed my baby before this but anyway)…at this point I’m fuming because she responds«oh I meant food. does everyone have their food».so you don’t care about bringing me the cup of hot water? WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! Why does it take over 30 minutes to get a cup of hot water for my baby.

The food is so good. Came to see the soccer game here in the morning. Everything was good but I might say the waitress are horrible there is so many and they walk around and never ask for a refill. We got drinks when we sat and after that they never came to ask if we wanted more. I don’t like to flag them down but I had to. When I heard the waitress where bad I didn’t pay, attention and decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the food but the waitress need better training before they run people out. They do treat the regulars good. I noticed that. Waited 15 min for our check. Was looking for a place to watch the soccer game locally and enjoy good food and I must say this would be the spot but after the customer service it won’t be my first choice

The food is okay. Good. We went on Mexican motherss day on Tuesday May 10th. They had a prix fix menu. Moderately priced for what it was. Tasty and authentic, but lacking some touches. Although the plancha meal shared by my mom and I came with rice, beans and tortillas(as all mexican meals should). It was missing either a salad or guacamole accent. Plus, no salsa or pico de gallo. The service was sweet and courteous just needed a bit more help. Understaffed for such a busy day. The main thig that made the night great were the performances by the guys imitating Juan Gabriel, Alejandro Fernandez and Paquita. They were great and made it all worthwile.

It was heavy metal night and we stopped by to see some bands play live music. I was starving and we waited and waited at the table for a waitress, but no one came. I didn’t know this but you have to go order your food at the cashier and then they will bring it out to you. I ordered the carnitas burrito and my brother order two fried chicken tacos, they were both very good and the hot red chili salsa was perfect.

Been eating here for at least over 10 years because it’s always been great. A year ago I noticed my favorite dish, menudo, was not properly cooked. It clearly wasn’t cooked long enough and I excused it to arriving too early. A few experiences after we started to notice the small subtle decline in quality. The staff is great and pleasant, at times a little too busy and we sit and wait a tad longer than we probably should but as mentioned the staff is amazing and they are busy so we understand and can respect their effort. Our last visit we sat indoors due to a big party they were hosting in the patio. We love the patio but were just excited we made it to the side of town. It was slightly cold because they had lost the glass to the window next to us and it was covered with clear plastic for the time being. A basket of chips was brought to the table and the chips didn’t taste fresh or home made like they usually do. Seems like they may have switched to store bought. When our first entry came we lifted the basket of chips we had been nibbling on and a cockroach quickly ran from underneath the basket across the table. I did think it is outside and little critters can get inside but the thing is the basket was brought out from the kitchen. When the pozole I ordered arrived it was in a small bowl. I ordered a large and the bowl that came out was the size of their previously small size for the same price. Truly disappointed!!!

I brought a few family members and friends to this restaurant because I really loved the look of the restaurant. Their restaurant is terribly run. Here are some things I enjoyed about our experience: — The food was delicious! I had camarones en crema de chipotle, totally recommend that dish. — The mango/chile margarita tasted good, it was with«vino de agave» which I haven’t heard of before. — It was a Sunday so they had very talented mariachis playing. — I loved the way the restaurant looked. I felt like I was in someone’s backyard in Mexico. A large beautiful fountain and music playing in the background. — They had fans which was great because it was very hot that day. — There was a good amount of parking which is rare for LA. Here are some things made our experience mostly negative: — Margaritas are supposed to have tequila and that was not clarified before we ordered them. Since that is a signature drink that is meant to have that kind of alcohol it just be clarified in the menu at least. — The margaritas were served in square, tall flower vases. Yes, vases. They looked cool but very difficult to drink out of since they were squared. Then when you started reaching the last sips of your drink you had to fish out the straw because the vase was so tall. — Some of the dishes were served on wooden boards which seemed unhygienic. My mom was also upset about this because as someone who grew up Mexican she felt like it was making the stereotype that we each off of wood. It would’ve been nicer if they had those nice ceramic plates from Mexico. — There were flies everywhere. When some people got their food they felt the need to eat right away or else the flies would get to them first. — When my boyfriend asked for a 3rd song from the mariachis they seemed annoyed that we were asking them for another song. We had tipped them more than $ 20 just for the first two and we were 1 of two other tables in the restaurant so it seemed unfair that they didn’t want to play for us anymore. — It was incredibly hot and we had to ask for the fans to be turned on. — My dress kept snagging on the chairs because the nails were sticking out. They definitely need new chairs because a lot of them were torn. In conclusion, the food was delicious but it wasn’t worth the experience we had. I do not plan on returning to this place.

I had my daughter’s birthday party here last weekend and the service was terrible. For starter’s we had arranged to have 5 tables to sit at and 2 extra tables for the cake and presents. Upon arrival the two extra tables weren’t ready and one table was dirty as if someone had eaten there. I brought it to a staff member’s attention and although they said they’d clean it up they didn’t. Then once our event got started they literally didn’t have almost any type of beer available, almost everything our guests ordered they said they were out of. Then there was only 3 people working the entire restaurant so you can imagine what the service was like. We were overcharged for drinks we didn’t order. We had two options of food to order from because our party was a total of 35, chile verde or chicken fajitas. The chile verde was good but the fajitas were extremely dry. Then to top it off towards 9:00 pm one of the waitresses tells us it was 9:00 and we had to get going because it was closing time. I explained to her that when I scheduled my event with the owner Gorge, he had told is we could sit until 9 then could hang out in the lounge area. All in all our experience here was extremely poor to say the least. Also a lot of their seating chairs were torn and in poor condition. Never again!

The place has a nice ambiance. The staff is friendly but understaffed. Service was slow. The menudo does live up to the name of the restaurant. It lacks quality in tripe. And is loaded with way to much homony.

Had lunch today here, ordered the«AguaChille» and had a bad experience. The shrimp were not deveinined, and it was apparent that no effort went into cleaning the shrimp prior to serving them.

We visited Hencho En Mexico for the Pozole and stayed around sipping on our delicious Menchiladas while enjoying the live Mariachi music. The band even played one of my favorite songs, Sabor a Mi. We sat in their authentically decorated outside patio, enjoying the fresh air. After an eventful night that eventually turned into dawn of continuous celebration, I knew I needed more than Water and Tylenol to recover. Hencho En Mexico is a family favorite, and so we all came here to enjoy their Sunday Special — Pozole Rojo. This savory and hearty stew is made with tenderly simmered pork and hominy in a mouth-watering red chili broth. It’s served with the traditional trimmings of cabbage, onions and radishes. You also get your choice of flour or corn tortillas, which I use to dip into that red broth soaking up more of the amazing flavor. They serve generous portions; I savored the smell of the steam rising from my bowl. That first taste was packed with so much authentic flavor and was amazing down to the last drop. It was exactly what I needed. They serve beer only, and although I am not a fan of beer, their Menchiladas are super yummy! They were so good, I ended up having like 2, and so along with eating their delicious Pozole, I was feeling so much better! The service is friendly; their prices are reasonable, and it’s a nice place for family gatherings.

so the owner walks around asking«How’s Everything?» but does not give a crap and makes excuses when you bring up the fact that my 10 year old sons order was not made because they could not make an Asada Burrito, this after everyone at the table had their food. he walks away, stands by the bar and takes a drink of his beer. SMH… I turn around and make my son a meal out of my dish, and I eat grilled bell peppers and onions with flour tortillas. I WILLNEVER come back, this was my 5th visit. Never have I had such an experience, and If you can’t TREAT little people with respect I don’t need to give him my hard earn money. ADIOS!!!

I absolutely love this local El Sereno restaurant that serves authentic Mexican food. Everything here really does taste like it was Hecho(Made) in Mexico! If you are familiar with my reviews, then you know how much of a stickler I am about high prices. This place is honestly affordable and you really get a lot of food for your money. The portions are huge, big enough to share. Everything I have tried here is nothing short of delectable. The atmosphere is lively and fun! If you come on the weekend, you’re likely to see women making fresh tortillas from scratch and you might even catch a pro Mariachi band. Don’t even get me started about the guacamole — it tastes as though it was made of ripe avocados freshly picked off the tree. Rather than coming here for an intimate date, I prefer to come with a group of friends or the whole family. It’s too tasty and too fun to not want to share it with everyone. Oh look, I made a rhyme. Who would’ve thought I had the time? Gosh I just crack myself up! :D
