When I go to a Farmers Market it’s usually for something I can’t get any where else. Today I was looking for farm fresh eggs. The kind I usually get at the Pasadena or Atwater markets. If you haven’t had farm fresh eggs believe me when I say you can taste the difference.
Sadly the only eggs they had at the ER Farmers Market are balut. No disrespect to balut enthusiasts, I was disappointed to say the least.
Also this market had only three actual farm stands selling produce. One was exclusively berries. I walked away without buying a thing. I might have bought some fruit, but neither of the two fruits stands had samples out on their tables. The peach and plum guys were giving samples to folks who asked, but it’s awkward if I don’t like their stuff you know.
Don’t get me started about how long it took me to park…
I hope to go back in a month or two and see this market has bloomed into something I can count on for my weekly shopping. If it hasn’t maybe the «Togetherness» people can take some time off of crapping all over Eagle Rock public schools and turn it’s attention to getting us a legit Farmer’s Market.
