Love Ruth and her pupusas and the cabbage and super smokey hot salsa! They also sell at the Silverlake Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays 2 – 7.

The veggie-cheese pupusas will change your life. They’re chock-full of what seems to be a dozen different vegetables, all sautéed and seasoned to a level that will surpass your highest expectations. The cheese oozes out the sides and sticks to the pan, resulting in a delightful crispy halo of cheese on all sides. Once Ruth or Delmy crowns the top with hot sauce, crema and curtido(zesty cabbage slaw), everything is in its right place and ready to eat. The pupusas are easier to consume sitting than standing(flimsy styrofoam plates), so I’d recommend sending a friend or loved one to stake out a spot at one of the communal tables while you wait in line.

I love this stand and have been eating here for years. It’s truly the tastiest pupusa in town! My faves are the loroco with cheese or a classic bean and cheese. Great agua frescas too. The only set up back is the stand gets a lot of foot traffic and there always seems to be a long wait.

Good pupusas but stingy with the curtido(slaw). Seriously it should be piled on there but instead you get about a tablespoon of curtido and if you ask for more they just give you one more tablespoon. How bout just make more curtido? It’s cabbage and vinegar, essentially. I’ve learned that you get more if you order it to go, so I always do. Their chorizo pupusas are great, as are all their veggie ones. I’d give them 1 more star if they would give me more curtido. Their aguas frescas are great as well.

Nicest service. Most delicious pupusas(meat, vegetarian, vegan). Best Agua frescas. Best place to eat at the Atwater village farmers market. The plain bean and cheese is amazing! Also tried the squash blossom pupusa — super delicious!!!

This place is amazing. Yet a bit expensive. This place will be going big in the future. Their signs were updated(no more written menus) and they also now have a facebook and twitter page. If you read up my review for the Atwater Village Farmers Market there is a mini review about them. And you’ll see why this place is good. They only offer pupusas and drinks but if you are a regular and chit chat with the 3 girls(or the main chick who is always serving you up with a smile) you can ask them to make you something else if they have it. I’ve also seen custom pupusas if your not liking the ones they offer. Pupusas are $ 3 and couple $ 4 and they’re to die for and very much worth the wait. They are always fresh and warm either ready to go or you’ll be watching them cook it up. Drinks on the other hand varies from sizes(didn’t know this till today) from medium $ 2 or large $ 4. That’s expensive! Yes I know but it is okay to splurge a little. They offer a wide variety of drinks from sodas, kids drinks and agua frescas(horchatta, mango pineapple, strawberry lemonade, watermelon, etc) that always goes good with a pupusa on your other hand. Here are the stuff I’ve tried(all comes with cabbage, salsa and sour cream): bean and cheese — greasy yet very satisfying and fulfilling. chorizo and cheese — usually sold out around noon-ish. If you wanna try this come in earlier. It’s great better than El Buen Gusto chichiron pupusa. shrimp with veggies — Wasn’t a fan of the veggies that much and the way they put in the shrimp differs from the other pupusas. So it was okay. Horchatta — very rich with flavor, it is not too cinnamony and just perfect. Mango Pineapple — not to sweet and just perfect with the blend of mango and pineapple in it. They also have tiny pieces of fruit in the drink. So it is from scratch, So if you’re ever around on Sunday’s from 10am-2pm head up to the Farmers Market in Atwater Village to try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Delmy is the best, and she makes killer pupusas! I always get the ones that are fresh on the grill– favs include bean & cheese and chicken & veggies. The veggies have a nice kick to them. Oh, and don’t forget to try a watermelon juice!

Everything is made right in front of you and sometimes even as you order it. They are making pupusas non-stop! You may have to wait about five minutes for your order while it is made but this only guarantees freshness! They have pupusas priced at $ 3 each so you can order a few of them and still have money to buy yourself one of their«aguas frescas». They have a bit of a line but always worth the wait. Also, they are vegeterian friendly and offer more than one choice for those who prefer to not eat meat. Each pupusa is topped with a delicious cole slaw, sour cream and salsa. They always ask whether you want it or not so you don’t have to worry about them giving you something that you are not sure about. The bean, jalapeño and cheese pupusa is my favorite because sometimes the cheese oozes out and becomes crispy at the sides. yum! I also love the chicharron pupusa. You can’t go wrong with the basics. I’ve had pupusas at a lot of different places and I just haven’t tasted anything like theirs. Everything is delicious and highly recommended!
