Tripped over the HDMI cable plugged into my PlayStation 4 and it was no longer sending out a video signal. Brought it into these folks and they said they would be able to replace the HDMI port and get it working. They had it for a couple weeks, but were unable to fix it. They took a $ 30 deposit for the repair, but refunded it when they were unable to fix it. So while I’m disappointed they were unable to get my PS4’s video output working again, they handled it about as well as could be expected.

just got my xbox 1 fixed today from a&j games after getting the run around for 3months from different games ships and xbox company it’s self telling me that my system was done for that is was basically unfixable and considered to be trash. until i found a&j games they were so nice and professional and considerate each employee dropped it off yesterday evening and got it fixed today by noon. i was shocked and so happy at the same time and to top it off they where so reasonable after one shop told me i had to pay 150 $ wish was double of the price i paid today. all smiles thank you a&j games i will defently send my friends and family to you guys. first time getting good service you don’t find that to often especially being a young women. :)

My right trigger on 2 of my PS4 controllers were broken. They fixed it in a small amount of time and the controllers work as if they were new. I highly recommend A&J Games.

This is a small mom-and-pop gaming store. Messy inside, but very friendly service. Went in to find a battery for an old PSP, which they had, along with a couple of PSP games! While I was there I overheard someone who brought in their game console that wasn’t working. The guy at the front desk asked a few questions, took a quick look at it and said all that was needed was a new $ 10 cord. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind if I need a repair on a console one day.

Has a very good selection of vintage games. Kind of packed though for a small store. Games are decently priced. Fair market value for games. If you are the type looking for a bargain on vintage games this is not for you. You will be paying retail prices. If you are a collector or are looking for a particular game then this is for you. This is to the owner: One of the biggest problems there is the parking. There is limited parking due to the other stores around it. Store needs to have a certain number of parking places for A&J Games only. With the way it is it may take 20 minutes just to find a place and you cant park in other stores lots nearby. No customers were inside your store and your parking area was packed.

Buyer beware. Nothing has a price and the owner goes off what the highest price is on eBay.

I’ve been coming to this store since I was knee-high to a tadpole, no joke. This store has been a fixture from my childhood into my adult life. The gentlemen who work behind the counter are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable gamers I’ve ever met. There’s no air of pretention here like there is at GameStop. They know their client base and cater to them, rather than stiffing everyone for an extra dollar or two. This place is especially great if you’re into reliving the gaming of yesteryear. I come in a couple times a year to pick up new Sega Genesis hauls or some N64 games and never leave disappointed.

Great service! Walked in with my son’s broken PS3, the guy asked if I am in a rush which I was and fixed it in 30 minutes while I waited. He understood my need and made it happen, not a lot of establishments would care to cater to your needs.

Great service and abundance of gaming hardware and accessories. $ 89 to fix our outdated PS3 with a 30-day guarantee, we got a few more months of play out of it but eventually we did need to just buy a new unit. Great place to check out if your a gamer.

Like a lot of repair shops — this place is littered with old games, consoles and accessories. I took my PS3 in after the disc drive died because I didn’t feel like waiting weeks to ship it off to Sony and getting back a refurbished unit — they repaired it in a couple hours and it has worked great since. Good job!

This is a great store! It is wonderful to have such a phenomenal resource in the area. You name it, they have it. All types of old games and electronics. Friendly owner.

I brought my overheating, malfunctioning Playstation 3 in for repair. It’s definitely the type of shop of a bygone era. A narrow walkway snaking through games and consoles piled high to the ceiling. The site of Nintendo cartridges alway elicit a nostalgic response, I believe my heart rate increases… Something about the shape of the cartridge and the colorful labels, like looking at candy. But I digress… I dropped off my PS3 and for $ 89 I received it 36 hours later back in working order. Should be noted all the guys working there were all nice. If I ever need repairs or feel the need to find an old game.

If vintage video games are relevant to your interests, or if you have a modern system that needs work, A&J is THE place! Seriously, I can’t believe I’ve driven by A&J for over a decade and didn’t walk in until yesterday. I have no idea how they fit so much stuff into such a small space, but I swear they have practically every system ever made from Colecovision to PS3 as well as games and accessories for all these systems as well! Seriously, if you’re on the west side, you’re not going to do better than to come here for your vintage gaming needs. Did I mention the customer service? No? Here’s my story: I went to A&J yesterday aiming to buy an SNES controller to troubleshoot the Retron 5 I had just received from Amazon. The fellow there suggested I bring the Retron 5 in to try and troubleshoot it together, because it might save me the expense of having to buy a controller. Now THAT’S customer service. Together, we got it working, and I ended up buying two SNES controllers and some games. In total, I was there for a bit over an hour and had the opportunity to see how other customers were treated. And everyone from a girl picking up her repaired Wii to an oddball(in a good way) sort of fellow who was trying to sell some stuff, to a few random video game enthusiasts, to a fellow in a suit, were all treated respectfully and fairly. Probably too fairly, truth be told. I could tell that the guy working really cares about his customers. I’ll be back.

Huge red flag here, I could not recommend you stay away from this place enough. A few months ago I brought my PS3(the older backwards compatible fat one) in because after five years, it finally broke down and game me flashing red lights and would not boot. Repairs cost $ 89.99– fair enough I thought, backwards compatibility was a deal breaker for me and I wasn’t going to dish out another $ 200 on a new system, especially if I could have my old one fixed up for half the price. They do give you a month warranty if it does break down again which I do applaud since two weeks later the PS3 broke down again. The man I dealt through explained that it had overheated and this combined with extended use of the system caused it to fail. He had told me this the first time and I had corrected the issue by giving the system plenty of breathing space. Extend use of my PS3 had never been a problem though, it was never on for more than 2 or 3 hours in a single sitting. They took it back in and had it ready a few days later. Except the PS3 broke down again less than a week afterwards. I took it back once again and the man told me there was nothing to be done, that he could take it back in but it would be no use since he was sure it break down again. Fine, my PS3 had seen its end so I expected a refund since he was not able to fix it. Here is where my biggest problem arose. He told me he would only refund me a third of the original $ 90 I had paid him since that was what was listed in the fine print that I had agreed to when I paid the initial price. I thought, well if I take my car the repair shop and pay a fee to have it fixed, before anything gets done I should hope my mechanic would know if the car could be fixed at all to begin with, no? It makes no sense to me and they really let me down since I really was looking forward to liking this place– so close to my house, nice homely feeling to it. But again, because of my experience and their refusal to give a logical explanation as to why they were going to keep my money after having NOT been able to fix my console forces me to warn anyone looking for similar repairs to simply stay away.

This place is the best. When I drive around and have some time, I like to hop into various game stores. I have found out that a lot of places claim«vintage games» but their selections don’t have much before Nintendo 64. A and J Games has everything. I went to find Gameboy Color games. Well they had those and walls full of various games with all different systems. The customer service is great along with friendly and the prices are fair. Definitely making this my place for vintage games. Oh, they also have easy parking. So that is neat.

With this place being so close to my home, I may be in financial ruin soon. They’ve got a great selection of classic games, with new ones coming in all the time. Compared with other places, the prices are fair. The 16-bit selection is especially good – especially if you like Genesis games. I stop in once a month or so and almost always leave with at least one new(used) game. The place is completely packed and a bit disorganized, which may be off-putting for some, but for me, it just adds to the charm.
