Love the food. Especially the baked spaghetti which can be ordered even during breakfast! Staff is very friendly and attentive

It’s a solid greasy spoon, featuring all the diner classics in a basic diner environment. I stopped here for brunch during a Seahawks game, and it was packed with Fans cheering the team, watching the game on one of the numerous screens — no problem seeing no matter where you are! We were seated right away and the server was attentive and quick, never rushing, but glancing in to make sure we had what we wanted and seemed happy. The food at breakfast has some imaginative offerings, but this is straight diner food. I had French toast; it was fine. I was a little bummed that the strawberries on top were canned rather than fresh, but the bacon on the side was good, thick, meaty strips — and lots of them. So, it evens out. The atmosphere was fun and friendly during our visit — we left full and cheerful, so even though the Hawks lost, I call it a win.

I love Kirkland’s atmosphere so I used to be a regular customer at George’s. Also, a few of my friends have worked there over the span of a couple of years so it was good to go and catch up every other month or so. But then I stopped going after one experience. For some reason the owners and some of the employees feel really entitled and run on their own time. There were a couple of times when I would have an empty glass for up to five minutes and when you expect a tip I can’t have an empty glass. Another thing is the table that we were seated at had a curtain between me and my family and the entry. Which is no problem but the curtain was covered in dust. Everytime the door opened and someone walked into the restaurant the wind would blow the curtain and I could literally see the dust falling onto our table. Besides that, the portions are very good. You will be full after you eat here.

Lots of food, to much for me, but very good. Excellent, fast service. I loved the hash browns, but my mom did not. My sister said they were ok. Normally I like to get two eggs, hash Browns and toast, but today I tried there special eggs Karkinagri which was interesting. The meat was more on the processed side than we liked, but normally we don’t eat meat anyway. My sister had the western omelette, she liked it. Coffee is ok, coffee shop coffee. Food servers were very nice. Love the location.

Great place for a home style breakfast served with a dash of family friendliness. Miss the presence of the founder George but still love this place.

Georges was good. Not great, not bad either. Quick, pleasant service and decent food. Good alternative to other breakfast options in downtown Kirkland.

My boyfriend and I were seated within 15 minutes of arriving on a busy Sunday morning. Had the Corinthian omelette, my usual, amazing again! Every time I come here to eat or order to-go I get fast and kind service and the food is always delicious. Always looking forward to my next Sunday breakfast here!

Ordered a burger to go but was not cooked well done as we ordered. Brought it back and they redid it but we found after leaving that it was still undercooked. Fries were good but the burger wasn’t too tasty. Staff was friendly.

The portions are great and the people are friendly but I would have to say that this is a pretty typical diner. Maybe even a little dingy-er than most. I got the baklava pancakes expecting a lot more. They basically just piled on a lot of syrup and whipped cream and put a lot of nuts in. I wanted to like it but was very disappointed. You really get what you pay for and I would have done better with any of their other breakfast items. I’m not in love with the joint but will be back to try some other menu items for a change of pace for lunch.

I only go here for brunch with family and honestly I really like it. It’s a solid brunch location. For what it’s worth I’m a big fan of chicken fried steak and they do the job and that’s all I need :)

Found this place because the restaurant we had initially planned to go to was closed. I didn’t have a good experience here. I felt the food was just average. The places got good ambience and the service was good. Other than that I cannot really recommend this place. I had the Lamb gyro and I really wasn’t satisfied. Maybe my mistake, getting a gyro at an American diner, but what the neck. I was craving Mediterranean that day.

I really want to write a good review but when when we first walked in, three workers looked me in the eye and kept walking instead of saying, «we will be right with you.» Finally, we had our name taken for a booth and got in. Yeah! I got one refill on my coffee, better than none. Make that into a positive. Breakfast was bland but okay. But for paying no one wanted to take our money, so we got up and asked the nice tall gal, who took it for us. Thank you for letting us go! I heard there was good food here but maybe on a happier day for them.

Not a fan of the food. It just wasn’t good. I’m a little confused as to how this was voted best breakfast in Kirkland. The portions were good but the food was not. The French toast(my favorite breakfast) was crappy. I consider it a punishable crime to mess up French toast! The eggs didn’t taste much like anything at all. The Greek fries would’ve been great, had they not taken the sauce and the feta and just dumped in solely on the middle of the fries… Those outside pieces were left uncovered in all the goodness! Only thing I’d order again here is the Greek fries. Other than that, the service was really great! Very nice, friendly and accommodating people. 1 star for the fries, 1 star for the service. Just go to Hectors or bottle and bull(unless your gf forgets her id like mine did today).

And I wondered why the prices are so expensive… It’s so that they can get the money to sponsor a hydro plane boat at Seafair. Spend the money on premium food for the premium prices.

Breakfast is awesome. Chicken fried steak is great but not too heavy. Egg sandwich is fantastic. Fun place and not too crowded, higher quality than pancake choral.

We dropped in this morning on the tail end of our Kirkland walk. I feel a little bad because when evaluating an Eggs Benedict. I find myself comparing it to Glo’s in Seattle, which has become my standard of excellence. On George’s Bennie, the eggs were perfectly poached, firm and the yolk runny, but the Hollandaise was bland with no hint of lemoniness. The hash browns seemed to be frozen and they were mushy, lacking a firm texture. Their coffee could have been a lot better. Who thought that displaying their menu over their urinals was a good idea?

Really wanted a blood mary yesterday and found this place. Got the bacon Bloody Mary, had to wait for the bacon after our drinks came because it wasn’t «done» yet. Either way, the bacon was delicious, the Bloody Mary was spicy(although I prefer mine spicier). Came for breakfast but ended up ordering lunch. I got the gyro with regular gyro meat(you can also ask for chicken), and Greek fries(waffle fries with feta). It was amazing! And HUGE. It was feta and tzatiki sauce galore(as well as lettuce tomato). At this point I realized this was a Greek restaurant. They have a special for each day of the week, and a special of the day for each meal(breakfast/lunch). They have a full bar, and happy hour as well. Received scratch tickets for a discount(or something) on our next visit, definitely will be back again.

I was visiting a friend and she brought me here for breakfast. I ended up getting the roast beef grinder and vegetable soup. Goood stuff. My buddy got her go to omelette, which was ginormous. I wish I was local so I could try the rest of their menu, everything looks so damn good. I also ordered their mocha, which wasn’t very sweet. I’m not a serious coffee/espresso drinker compared to the Seattle scene, but I enjoyed it :) Another fun part of brunch was meeting the owner, Peter. He was flitting around taking care of the place and chatting with customers – super friendly guy, who clearly takes loving care of his joint. + if you go between now and March, they give away scratch offs coupons for your next visit(we got 10% and 15% off our meals)
