This restaurant was never very good. And now it is closed

Definitely NY-quality pizza. My Jersey wife will only eat pizza from here. No cold sandwiches, though.

I wanted to like this place, but it just wasn’t meant to be. First, the garlic rolls were nothing more than rolls that had some jarred garlic thrown on them with a bit butter for good measure. Absolutely zero imagination. Next, the pizza. The biggest drawback? It wasn’t even hot! I expect to burn my mouth when I bite into my first slice, but this pizza was warm at most. The crust was lousy. It took me a bit to figure out what bothered me about it. It was too uniform, too dry. If I had to guess, I’d say the oven temp was off, causing the crust to cook too evenly. It was simply blah. The cheese was good and the sauce wasn’t bad. The service wasn’t overly impressive either and the place is pretty dumpy looking as well. It’s not a place I’ll go to again. I’d rather heat up a DiGiorno pizza.

They have the absolute best buttered garlic rolls you will ever taste. Period. Wide selection of beer and sodas. Amazing calzones, very good pizza. Prices are very reasonable. This is one of the places I love to bring my co-workers on a Friday.

I was there with my friend. We ordered 4 meet pizza large. It was LARGE! But too greasy. The waiter never asked us a thing. The place looked pretty empty and abounded. The price was a little bit high for this quality. My friend was actually from New York. He said it is not near of NY pizza.

I’ve been to this place under various names over the years. First it was Pappa’s New York Pizza, then Piecorra’s New York Pizza, and finally Bridle Trails New York Pizza. Pappa put out some great pizza, then inexplicably(and with no notice to the employees) went out of business one summer day long ago. Each of the subsequent businesses have tried to make authentic New York pizza with a little bit less success than former New York resident ‘Pappa’, but none of them has made a bad pie. Bridle Trails New York Pizza carries on the tradition of pretty darn close to New York pizza with plenty of sauce on ginormous slices with a foldable crust. You get a seemingly endless supply of garlic bread while you’re waiting for your pizza to arrive. There is a decent selection of beers to help wash it down. To properly appreciate the pizza here you really do need to fold it. Bring the two corners of the crust together to form a handle. So much easier that way. Plenty of good ingredients on the pie. Pappa, wherever you are I’d give you five stars, you old bastard.

The garlic rolls are delicous and cheap! The chili is also amazing. Their salads are okay but I have had better. The pizza is good but not amazing. The service is never great but never horrible. We go often with a large group made up of regulars and they know what everyone wants to drink and have it ready when we come in. I would rather go to another pizza place if I had the choice but when we do go here it is just fine.

I’m a self-proclaimed pizza enthusiast. I love the stuff and feel the need to try any spot I see, especially when I see«New York» anywhere in or near the establishment name. I judge all my pizzas based on plain and simple pepperonni. I’m sure there are better ways, but it’s just what I’ve adopted for myself. So after a few years of wanting to try this place, I was finally able to order a pepp pizza when friends who lived nearby was having the same craving. I ordered a large along with those garlic rolls. Both were«meh». The pizza was HUGE for a large, but there wasn’t a whole lot of taste in it – the garlic rolls I felt like I could make at my own home(hopefully with a lot less oil!). One redeeming quality here were the guys behind the counter — really inviting and friendly and fun to chat with. To make a long story short, I wasn’t too impressed — there are a lot of better options, you just have to go a little farther. And it’s too bad, because I was really hoping to find a good eastside(not in Bellevue) spot. So, the search continues…

This restaurant is been in business for over 26 years. There are reasons why they survived all these years without me know of their present.(Note: I lived in the area and worked in the same location for a couple years.) Portion: Big Ingredient: Very Fresh and generous Pizza Dough: Just flour Environment: It’s been 26 years. You can see it. I am not a fan of the booth seat. The head rest area was very dirty looking. Table is a safer choice. I really like their Nathan’s dog wrapped in pizza dough. $ 5 for two dogs. The salad was fresh and in fair portion. I liked the honey mustard dressing. Overall, not bad. Romio’s Pizza & Pasta at Totem Lake wins for their tasty and great texture dough plus fresh ingredients.

It’s a little too doughy for NY style pizza but it’s good. The sauce, dough and cheese make this pizza pie better than most. I wanted slices and called ahead so they were fresh when I arrived. The pizza was cooked well, not too cooked on the bottom and just a little brown bubbly cheese action on top. It could have used a tad more sauce but it was a solid slice overall. The garlic rolls were nothing to write home about. It was garlic and oil on a roll. Not much flavor outside of the garlic. I put some parmesan cheese on top and asked for a side of sauce. The rolls were soft and fresh but overall they were nothing special. NY Pizza also serves Nathan’s Hot Dogs(the best in the world) but I didn’t order one. My server was nice and got me in and out with no delay. The décor is retro NY with pictures, signs and old green booths. I would give this place a 3.5 star rating if I could. It’s better than most pizza joints in the area including Pagliacci. Now get off your ass and support your local mom and pop pizzeria!

OMG. Get the garlic bread here if you get nothing else. Amazing. Only three stars because it’s a little grungy and I think the pizza is pretty standard. But if you’re looking for a good meal, check this out.

NY Pizza is pretty decent, especially considering that east side doesn’t have any good NY style pizza places. Not too expensive, I got pizza by the slice with 3 toppings for $ 3.5. Staff was very nice and service oriented and place has a decent place to dine in.

Four stars. Because when I take my dad here, he always seems to be in just a tiny bit better mood. If I’m about to tell him anything he doesn’t want to hear or convince him to do something… it’s going to happen here. I won’t take no for an answer unless I hear him say it NY pizza in Bridle Trails. There is just something about the place your dad loves to grub at, that makes him say«yes» more often. With that being said… I love this place. Depending on who in tags along, we get the«Family Special» which is a large pizza with 3 toppings and a huge salad. And of course, we always order the garlic rolls. Id prefer more garlic on them, but they are good as is. This place is worth checking out for sure.

First, lets get something straight for all you people who didn’t like it because it’s not yuppie enough for you. IT’S A CORNERPIZZAJOINT. It needs new seat cushions and the tablecloths are made out of vinyl. They employ local kids as the servers and busboys. It is nothing more or less than what it claims to be: a place to get good pizza and beer. I’m from New York and this place is as authentic as I can find out here. Pagliacci, Jet City, Papa John’s, etc. are not actual pizza. They are products created by a major corporation. While they may be «tasty», they lack the authenticity and uniqueness of a local place that makes its own pizza. I truly feel sad for those out there who don’t grasp this concept. If you want«upscale» go to Bellevue Square and pay 3x as much. If you want great pizza in a relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere, go here.

Sooooo happy i stumbled upon this place! I was starving and we saw NY Pizza sign, went in and left thinking wow, lucky that we had a great late lunch. First of all, the portions are huge! We order the Garlic Rolls for $ 2.50, thinking ok, maybe 2 rolls, nope, 6 rolls! Uhhh not sure how on earth it could be so cheap but im not complaining. Half salad for $ 3.75 with 2 homemade dressings and I kept thinking, is this a half or a whole? Now for the NY pizza… we got a large. The slices were very big, nice crisp crust on the bottom, i hate it when its too thin that the crust gets soggy. Not the case here. Had ½ Brooklyn and ½ Queens. Very good. Would have loved to see roasted garlic and goat cheese as a topping choice tho… Will definitely be back and bring some peeps with me as its good for groups. The décor is odd, kinda old school with that red/white checker table cloth and booths. But it works. FEELS like a pizza place. The owner came out and spoke sports with us… he was very friendly. Would defintely come back when im in the mood for carbs and more carbs :)

I nearly wept when I entered this place. It’s like being thrown back into the neighborhood pizza joints from the late 80s/early 90s right down to the red and white checkered plastic tablecloths under glass, the brown bubbled cheap plastic cups for your pitcher of root beer, and the arcade in the corner. You can hear a game on the tv throughout the whole restaurant… Man I love it! ANDTHEPIZZA. It’s like I’m back in New England(ok that’s not New York but the pizza and the style of places is the same). The sauce: Spot on. Nothing overpowering or assuming, just what it is: pizza sauce.(good!) THECRUST: this heading deserves capitals because it is stellar. Nice and thin but not paper thin like is so trendy these days. Has a great chew to it and a nice buttery, slightly smoky taste. The toppings: Nice, tasty, fresh. Nothing surprising but all the good standards are there. The price: A large 18″ pepperoni pizza is 19 bux of perfection. Delivery area is wicked limited so don’t bother unless you live in Bridle Trails and possibly Houghton. This has been the biggest thing I’ve missed since I hopped away a bit. Still go back whenever I have the time and the craving(pagliacci is a great default, but I *seek out* this place) Also. Garlic rolls. Get them and a large pepperoni pizza and keep it all to yourself. Sometimes it pays to be selfish…

Bridle Trails New York Pizza… aka Piecora’s Pizza. For those of you familiar with Piecora’s in Seattle, it’s basically the same place. The name change happened a couple of years back. Stick to pizza here and you’ll probably do OK. The rest of the menu, well, kinda sucks. When the pizza is good, it’s very good. Crust is thin, NY style. Toppings are tasty and OK in the quantity department. Price is nothing to shout about, but fair for what you get, unlike Pagliacci’s. The retro pinball/video game room is kind of cool, and brings back childhood memories for geezers like me. There’s a TV tuned to sports, if you’re into that. The real problem with this place is inconsistency. Once in a while, expect an off night here, resulting in a poorly cooked pizza or poor service. I don’t recommend coming here when it’s super busy and the staff of underpaid college kids is overstressed. Nine times out of ten you’ll come out a happy camper. It’s that tenth time that forces me to deduct a star.

«want some of our garlic rolls?» Ummm… what? I haven’t even sat down yet, can you give me a sec? My friend was feeling completely nostalgic and wanted to relive his glory days and head for pizza here. The menu is pretty basic: Pizza, Pasta, some salads. I stuck with a tall glass of root beer, and he had some Bubble Up.(if you haven’t had Bubble Up, it’s delicious) Our garden salad was basic: lettuce, olives, mushrooms, tomato. It was fine, but nothing that would blow you away. Our giant pizza… it looked a little of the greasy side. I had to be one of those people that soak up the grease with a napkin. But otherwise, the pizza was tasty. I loved the crust… nice and crispy, with almost a sourdough like taste. This place was packed and there was a line to get a seat by the time we left. If this place was given a nice thorough cleaning I would bump it up a star. I just wasn’t in love with it like my friend was.

Went with some co-workers the other day for lunch. We were a pretty large group-9 I think. They accomodated us well. We all got the lunch thing– salad and a slice and really everything was super good. They split the check without asking or making an issue of it. Service was good. Overall a pretty cool place, even if it is in strip mall. I wish more places offered this great lunch special.
