We were so excited when we moved to the area that there was an Amante Pizza in our area, until we tried to eat it. Ordered an XL Margherita pizza, Sm Vegetarian pizza, the artichoke spread, and a 2-liter. Added up to be close to $ 60 without tip. It gets 1 star because the delivery driver was nice, but other than that, I would go negative stars for this place if possible. For that cost I would expect fresh ingredients. Only half the margherita pizza was eaten only because we were so hungry. And only a few bites of the spinach appetizer because we thought we could eat it despite the taste. Just moving into a new home and pizza is the turn to while unpacking, but frankly I think a $ 5 pizza from Little Ceasar’s would had been a safer choice. The margherita pizza was unlike any I’ve ever had before, with no fresh mozzarella. In hindsight, I checked the menu after ordering and realized they only claim to have fresh basil and fresh garlic, not fresh mozzarella. But $ 26.45 for an XL pizza should have all fresh ingredients in my opinion. Then there was the artichoke spread. it tasted like it was dipped in a tin/aluminum bath and there was nothing freshly made about it. I will not eat here ever again. Even if I were given free pizza for a year or a lifetime. I doubt it’s any fault of those who put together the food, but whoever is managing their inventory should be let go before this location goes under.

It’s OK pizza, pretty standard pizza for around here. The sauce is tasty, cheese good, & the dough is very chewy. I miss crispy pepperoni & crust! The driver was very pleasant. Well order from here again & I’d like to try a salad next time.

Pizza is a lot like Romio’s with better cheese and toppings. Spinach salad was fantastic. Lots of fresh spinach, bacon bits, onion, mushroom, feta and a delicious vinaigrette. Wings are baked, not fried, therefore pretty bad. Not spicy and slimy. Prices are indeed high. Two 2-top tables for seating. Tip: Buy a huge fountain soda from the gas station to go along with your pizza as Amante only has canned soda.

Their shredded pepperoni pizza is the best! The Greek salad is loaded with fresh ingredients. And very friendly people with delivery or in person. Consistently delicious and this is after about 10 orders. I think they got it down.

Do you value customer service? If so, please heed this warning and run far, far away. If you call and voice even the slightest form of dissatisfaction, the employees will argue with you. And then argue some more. Are you serious? The other poor reviews resonate very clearly.

Best pizza I’ve ever had! I got the margarita with basil leaves and my whole family loved it. I recommend this place to everyone. Just to clarify, this isn’t gas station food. This is a fresh pizza place INSIDE a gas station. The people there are very nice and treat you well.

We don’t usually order delivery but during a kitchen remodel there aren’t many other ways to eat at home! We have called Amante twice now — with a gluten and dairy allergy in the family, a gluten free pizza place that delivers is something we are thankful for. We ordered a half the pizza with cheese and half without and it is delicious. Also their salads are amazingly huge — a full one fed us for three meals. I will definitely order again next pizza night!

The food is really good just a wee bit on the higher side of prices. The Amante spechial pizza is really good though. I’ve never ordered delivery but the carryout service is great. I’ve never had an issue and the staff is very nice!

We will never order from here again. We had a wrong delivery that was 10 min late(55 min). So my wife called to fix the order and the manager said they would get the order right out. The next pizza was delivered 45 min later which is their standard delivery time. I called to ask for our money back as it took an hour and 40 min to get our correct order. The lady manager which we can hardly understand argued with us over past history as we’ve been late to the house by 5 minutes a few times. Granted we always tipped the drivers quite a bit if they had to wait for us. The lady was not polite one bit and we will never order from them again. Lack of customer service and bad service is the last strike. I’m calling my credit card company to dispute the charge as we did not receive what we ordered. Unless 1 hour and 45 minutes counts for a pizza with a delivery time of 45 min and under. I plan to bring the cold day old pizza back tomorrow to ask for my money back as well. I don’t recommend this place. Your better of getting Dominos.

BEWAREOFHIDDENCHARGESONDRINKS!!! Went there recently and was charged $ 10 per drink!!! OHMYGOD!!! I couldn’t talk to waitress at the time, she was running around serving a full house, so I called a few days later. I was told that they have a «cover charge»…but guess what? There’s no one at the door to take a cover charge!!! So what do they do? They conveniently(and very sneakily) charge you extra on drinks… HOWEVER…THEYKEEPCHARGINGYOUEXTRA!!! Love, love, love this pizza joint! Some people may be turned off from this place because it’s attached to a gas station but please do not be! My fiancé and I have tried several different kinds of their specialty pizzas and they’ve all been fantastic. The best part is I have a gluten allergy and they have gluten free pizza options! We probably order Amante’s once a month and my fiancé goes here once a week to get a single slice for lunch, since we live pretty close. Try this place out!

Horrible customer service. We literally ordered a pizza for delivery and the pizza was made almost completely of mushrooms… When I called to ask the owner about it she was not nice what so ever. She does not care about customer satisfaction. So then I proceeded to tell her that I would not be ordering pizza from them again. So this order was placed months ago I actually even forgot about it for a while… One night my family wanted to have dinner and I was feeling lazy so we ordered sandwiches from the same place because I remember the sandwiches being much better than the pizza! And the owner apparently placed some flash alert so that whenever my phone number calls them they are to refuse me service since I told her that her mushroom pizza was disgusting! Unbelievable!

As a Chicagoian, I have insanely high expectations for pizza. Until last night, all pizza I’ve had has been absolutely horrendous. I ordered a large cheese pizza(I’ve learned to keep it simple in Washington– the more toppings, the more ways for restaurants to mess pizzas up) and a piece of chocolate cake. The cake was pretty meh. Maybe it’s because I placed a delivery order 15 minutes before closing on a Saturday night. However, the pizza was delightfully amazing. The crust was light and crispy, the sauce actually had a taste of being home made, and the cheese was cooked to perfection(just a little brown on top). I added some parm cheese and red peppers that were in the pizza box and enjoyed basically the entire pizza in one sitting. Not only will I order from here again, I cannot wait to order from Amantes again!

We will not be back. Drivers cannot find houses in normal grid-styled neighborhoods so food arrives ice cold and almost 2 hours after ordering. They do offer discounts for the next order, but then do not honor them. There is a manager answering these issues that sounds like he’s 16 and doesn’t give a flyingcrap. Quality of food has declined recently; which seems to have happened at the same time the service crapped out. We did re-order the first few times, since we know everyone has bad days. Especially in the delivery world. But it’s been consistently downhill now so no more.

«Gas station pizza» is what my family calls this place, which confuses newbies, but its accurate. They are located inside a Shell station, but they are always fast, and the product quality is way above a Domino’s or Pizza Hut type chain. You are definitely going to pay more than you would at one of those places too, so if you are looking for pizza on the cheap, this isn’t going to be your place. The menu has coupons in it, one of which is for a free salad, which is a pretty nice addition. The Caesar is an easy crowd pleaser. All in all, its pretty decent pizza… considering its coming from the gas station! Pros: Quality ingredients Fast/friendly service Convenient Cons: A little on the pricey side

Amante is a disappointment, I’m afraid. This is the second try I’ve given them and it’s my last. How can I resist someone who will BRING me a fresh salad? Easily, because they don’t bring me the salad I asked for. I ordered mine with no peppers or onions and it came with about a half cup of chopped bell peppers, the same amount of raw red onion, and three pepperoncini. And I couldn’t fish them all out because the feta cheese was smooshed into them. Oh dear, upset tummy. Thanks, Amante. Their eggplant parm is not prepared in the traditional manner. The eggplant isn’t breaded and baked or fried before being added to the dish. So you’re just getting eggplant, their unimpressive sauce, and cheese. I know some people like it that way but it’s(a) not the real way to do it and(b) not what their menu photos advertise. What else? Oh, our chicken wings were burned. Not all of them, maybe just half. Bummer. The calzones are only ok. If you want a calzone delivered, though, you can get one from Pagliacci that’s so much better. So it seems there is just no reason to order from Amante.

I had Amante’s for the first time yesterday. While their location is good(for me, anyway) and easily accessible — I’m looking at you, Romio’s, and your parking lot of terror — the overall experience was unimpressive. 1. They wouldn’t take their own coupon. They offered us a free soda instead — golly, thanks, but I hate soda! I’d rather have the $ 3 off! 2. The food was pricey for how little we got, especially the breadsticks(I expect at least twice what they gave us for $ 7) 3. The two drifts of thug teenagers hanging out outside the door to this place were a lot of fun to walk through to get my pizza. I kind of expected to come back out and find my car on cinderblocks. But the food tasted good. The pizza was acceptable and the breadsticks were DELICIOUS. They tasted a lot like the breadsticks you get at Pizza Hut. Breadsticks are really hard to find at pizza places out here, so the fact that they even offered them was a plus. However, the poor service left me unimpressed overall. My husband and I trying all the local pizza places in hopes of finding a favorite to order from regularly, and Amante’s probably won’t be it. :(
