There’s no way I’d ever eat here again. The burger meat was gross. There were pieces of bone that I bit into, fat that I couldn’t chew through. The lady at the counter yelled at a kid(not my kid) for touching a little surfboard trinket that was for sale. Hamura’s simian stand was much better for lunch.

Good burger and the fresh beef flavor is distinguishable. However, fries and onion ring portions small relative to price at approximately $ 5 each. Also one onion ring was too tough to eat. But line out the door is testimony of popularity. Would return but after trying another burger option to compare.

This is great for what it is. Greasy fast burgers. Great grub when you are starving and the frings are worth trying too! Get it with onion!

I love this place and cannot go to Kauai without stopping here to eat. They have a location in Hanalei but I prefer the Kapaa location. They were also in a Southpark episode which makes them even more awesome!

It just wasn’t that good. Basic burgers, chili, hot dogs. The fries were the best part. Slow service to order. Wish I had lunch somewhere else.

Good burger, but not the best. A fatty meat. The fries were ok. I did notice a massive gecko crawling around in the kitchen. Out front of the restaurant, you get the view of a life time– a road with a fence on the other side! How pretty!

This one’s a favorite for us. We must go to Bubba’s when visiting. Good eats, nice service and won’t break the bank. A must do if you’ve never been!

Friendly staffs And laid back environment. The milkshake was great– I got a strawberry and banana. But the food was only decent– not life changing or anything. I asked to have my burger with mustard only(no onions or relish), but I received the opposite… A burger with onions and relish, but no mustard. It wasn’t that big of deal, just pushed off the things I didn’t want. But attention to detail could be worked on!

We are on vacation in Kapaa, Kauai and decided to eat lunch at Bubbas Burger. We ordered the Hubba Bubba, Teri Burger, 2xMilk Shakes, a Coke, Fries, and A fries/onion ring mix. Total cost $ 33.33 a bit expensive. Hubba Bubba is a hot dog and cheese burger patty on a bed of rice with chili all over. Honestly, it didn’t have much taste. I poured tobasco all over it to give it taste. The chili was lacking. I don’t know if they make their own chili or use canned chili but I’ve tasted way better. For locals Zippys chili is way more tasty. The Teriburger also didn’t have much teriyaki taste and the beef patty I considered on the small side. May’s Teriburger patties have more flavor. Again another below the line dish. A Teriburger patty is marinated in Teri sauce, then grilled with more Teri sauce. You don’t cook a regular burger patty then brush the sauce on it. The shakes are not true milk shakes that are made with real ice cream and milk. They use an ice milk mix which tasted so so. Those of you who have visited Red Robins or Teddys bigger burger know they use real ice cream for their shakes and that’s what makes a great shake. The onion rings and fries rocked. They were great. Oh we asked for a refill on the Coke and they don’t do refills. Come on all the other fast food burger joints offer free refills for dine in customers. We won’t be patronizing Bubbas anymore. The taste of the food doesn’t warrant the premium price. It was the first and last time for us.

This place is a joke. Ordered a teriyaki burger(note that lettuce and tomato are $ 1 extra) teriyaki chicken sandy and 2 orders of onion rings and a small drink. Total $ 35. Am I missing something? Yes the meat patty on my burger. It was sooo small that there was more bun than patty. The flavor was good– average teriyaki flavor nothing special outstanding or unique. But the patty size looked like a McDonald hamburger patty. It was so small and thin. Look at my picture all that you can see is bun. The bun wasn’t anything special either. Just a white bread hamburger bun from Safeway. Onion rings were the highlight but nothing special. This was truly disappointing. I feel like we were ripped off. I get mad just thinking about our experience.

My boys are burger connoisseurs. At least they think so. BUBBA delivered! The frech fries were so delicious. The beef tasted perfectly. My little one wanted another and for a picky eater… this is HUGE. You may eat there or your car. It is definitely worth a stop during your adventure.

Needed to find dinner. Stopped by and customer service was terrible. Didn’t even say hi. The food was average nothing special. The fries were cold and nothing special at all. What a waste for $ 30.

what can i say? i am a bubba’s girl. bubba’s burger in kapaa town has been a long time favorite of mine, like, since hanabata days! their 100% kauai beef makes their burgers stand out against the typical fast food burgers we’re all used to. they’ve got options for everyone. burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, chili, salads, fries and onion rings, shakes, sodas! the thing that makes this particular location so good is the wonderful service i always receive(particularly from dawn and nick). come to bubba’s if you want an always juicy, never greasy burger. p. s. they may cheat you tourists ;)(and drunks and attorneys)

Came here because a friend recommended it, so we decided to try it out after we hiked wailua falls. Keep in mind that this is the first time I’ve been to Kauai. They had several types of burgers ranging from the bubba burger which consists of regular burger with ketchup mustard and relish. The burgers are very small, comparable to the kids meal cheeseburger at McDonald’s. I opted out for the Slopper because I really like chili. The Slopper is a open face chili burger with chopped onions, you can’t use your hands to eat it. Make sure to eat it with a fork and knife. My girlfriend tried the teriyaki burger which she really liked. It had slices of pineapple, onions and ketchup in it. We also ordered the frings which basically is French fries and onion rings. I really liked their French fries, I’m a snob when it comes to French fries and bubba makes their French fries crispy. The onion rings were pretty good, but the only thing is that portions are small, so I would size up. You can sit outside in the patio and watch the cars drive by and also see the ocean view as you eat. The place is pretty big from what I saw, there wasn’t a lot of people eating. Overall I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick bite and are craving some burgers and fries to fill you up.

I have a strange love obsession with Bubba’s Burgers. When I’m on vacation in Kauai, I call it «Bubba’s brah». When I’m back at home on Oahu, I crave it sometimes. Like an ex-girlfriend that use to rock your world but you know you have to keep away for sanity’s sake. Like Bubba says, «Health food sucks.»

This isn’t the place to go for a nice dinner out. It’s a place to go for some fast, delicious burgers. We went twice while on vacation. The Double Burger with cheese is the way to go. Just get it they way they make it, and you’ll walk away happy. Fries and onion rings were ok, but the second time we went, we skipped them and saved room for ice cream or shaved ice elsewhere after the burger. If you love good burgers, then put Bubba’s on your list.
