Usually the beer is better, not so good today. I feel a better waiter would have presented the beer options better. My sandwich was awesome and my friends salad was good, but our waiter kind of ruined the moment for us. He did not suggest anything nor did he comment on any of the food we questioned him about. The Jobe beer seemed flat and I was unable to finish it. My friend had a decent beer from another brewery because the house IPA had an off taste. The atmosphere inside is dark and dated. Outside is nice under the canopy when weather permits. On this day it was not so nice, so we ate inside.

This is one of my favorite places all year round! The brew pub offers a family friendly atmosphere in the dining room and outdoor seating, along with the comforts of your favorite neighborhood pub in the bar. The pub area recreates the feeling of an English pub with the dark wood tones, and a cozy fireplace. There is plenty of outdoor seating were you can bring your canine friends, or play a game or corn hole. Unlike most bars they have an eclectic menu that offers a variety of samplings to accommodate those who love traditional pub food, health items, gluten free, and vegetarian selections. And it is all great! I do have to say my favorite of all time is the Brew Pub Nachos with chicken! It is more than enough to call a BIG meal by itself. piled high with tri-colored tortilla chips, tomatoes, onions, black olives, jalapenos, fresh home made salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheddar jack! Followed by the Scotch Eggs! Wow! They are fabulous here, They are a brew pub and brew many a fine ales onsite, and serve other quality brews as well as a full bar. The atmosphere is relaxed, the people are friendly.

Wow, I was very surprised to see how many vegan options this place has to offer. We were a little bit worried about eating vegan at a pub but we were pleasantly surprised. The servers didn’t know much about the vegan dishes but we didn’t mind. We ended up ordering the Vegan Nachos with added beans and the Fish & Chips. The Fish & Chips were incredible! They make their own tofu infused with seaweed so it tastes like fish. The breading is so tasty! The portions are huge! We are very thankful for the vegan options here. Support them!

Went for a party. The bartender did not even look at his customers so it took forever to get served at the bar. I had to ask the waiter for menus. The menus were sticky. We left and ate somewhere else.

I recently visited for the first time. I loved the old world pub style. I didn’t feel like I was still in Indiana. We tried multiple beers. The service was great as well as the food. They have a large menu, with options for every diet. I have the beer cheese crock and the Thai spiced pork. Yum! It’s no wonder they have been successful for so long. It’s a gem! Definitely a staple for Broad Ripple

Good stuff. Been enjoying beers here for awhile but never really had food. Scotch Eggs are fantastic. Sausage had a great flavor. I had the Smoked Brisket sandwich. Bun was a little dry but everything else was great. The chese spread and sweet bar bq is surprisingly yummy together. Have the pub chips.

This is our go-to place in Broad Ripple. Our last visit was to support Dining Out For Life, an annual fundrasier for the Damien Center. I was surprised to see the menu had recently changed, and the beloved(by me, and perhaps not many others apparently) dolmades are off the menu. So, on this visit I tried something new! I ordered the veggie quesadillas and added spinach. Good choice, and this might just be my new staple! This dish packs heat, so beware. Other things I love about the Brew Pub: –Plentiful outdoor dining space –Interesting and truly homemade menu options –Beers available by the pint, or in smaller portions(this was much more appealing to me when I was a breastfeeding mom and just wanted a smidge of my favorite Porter) –Great kids menu(go for the Shepherds Pie, every time!) Things that add to the charm of the Brew Pub, but might be irritating to some: –Slow-ish service –Cigarette smoke wafting over from the fire-pit area IF you choose to sit outdoors on that side of the building(not a fan of smoke? Request to sit on the street side and you’ll be in the clear)

I am the girl that gets the same thing anywhere she goes. The scotch egg burger at the brewpub is one of my favorites) you have to add egg and cheese) with the pub chips and a side of the beer cheese. I haven’t ordered anything different in a long time(except the beer cheese crock if I am not by myself). I generally head to the brewpub when I am in the mood for the burger and am always impressed with the various beers on tap. I feel they do a wonderful job of making sure that they have something for everyone. And as the oldest brewpub in Indy, they had a head start on everyone else. I definitely recommend their IPA

I’ve been frequenting this place for many years. Let’s estimate, eight. It has slowly but surely gone downhill. Food, beer, service– the whole shebang. Sort of a drag. This *is* Broad Ripple’s original brewery/restaurant, after all. We still go from time to time because it is easy to get a table and I like their outdoor seating. The last visit was just too terrible to gloss over with those facts though. Garden tacos made with sloppy joe«meat» and the worst beer I’ve had the displeasure of tasting. The veggie chips are always undercooked these days as well. *sigh, kicks can, stares off into distance* We’re on the hunt for a new spot with simple(good) food, great beer, and a sunny patio. I’ve said my reluctant farewell to BR Brew Pub.

We came here for the vegetarian food and they delivered. I had the garden sloppy joe with the veggie chips. It was amazing and very filling. I was stuffed. My husband got the vegan fish and chips. He liked it but thought the tofu was a bit soft. He ordered the light portion and it came w 3 pieces of tofu which was more than enough. We were both full. Our server was polite and our food came out fast. We both got a couple beers that were good as well. I would highly recommend for a diverse menu!

Great location and a little quieter than Broad ripple I have not eaten here but the beer was good.

This is one of the two places I head to when I need to revel in Liverpool nostalgia. There’s a little bit of England inside the Broad Ripple Brewpub, from the rich wood on the walls to the English-style beers. Although it’s not my favorite style of beer(it can feel flat to some), it serves as a transport to the days I tried(and failed at) being a proper Scouser. When I’m here I start with an ESB and pair it with the edamame burger, which I’d recommend to any vegetarian. It’s a nice change from the typical black bean burger one usually sees on a menu. Therefore, luv: bring your best mates here for a proper vegetarian sandwich and wash it down with a pint. Cheers!

The meal I had was the bison burger with the pub chips, and I couldn’t be happier or more satisfied as I sit writing this review. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Just enough flavor for me to know that I wasn’t eating tartar, but not so much that I couldn’t taste the fact I paid more for the bison. Well done enough that it didn’t fall apart, but man-alive was it juicy. Kudos to whoever grilled this for me. I’m usually not one for over exalting bread products, but OMG is all I can say about the bun. As something that is normally pretty trivial to me, I was pleasantly surprised by how much this aspect stood out against any other bun I’ve ever had(excluding pretzel buns of course). Oh, and I love spicy everything so I opted for the ghost pepper cheese. Honestly, I was expecting to be assaulted by heat, but this was not the case. It was one of those magical experiences where you get the flavor of an awesomely hot pepper without the need for a glass of milk. Top notch. On top of all that, the pub chips were extraordinary. Imagine this… you’re at a county fair. You get an elephant ear. You tear off a piece and pop it in your mouth. Now that you have that texture in mind… replace sweet batter with potato and the cinnamon and sugar with salt. They were crispy and soft, airy and dense, pillowy and leaden, all simultaneously. Not a lick of salt, pepper, or ketchup was needed. Everything was perfect as is. Normally I automatically assume any place with more than 10 – 15 menu items will be pretty standard… OK at what they have listed, but not great at anything. Tonight, this was not the case. That being said, I can’t wait to get back to the Brewpup to keep trying anything and everything on their menu until they prove me right in those regards. Here’s to hoping I lose this battle and Cheers to the Brewpub.

We stepped back into the Broad Ripple Brewpub, after being away from it for six months since our last visit to Indianapolis. My initial order of the Bangers and Mash was such a disappointment(still can’t figure out what the Bangers were cooked in that made them taste so awful)! Switched over to a regular burger and onion rings, and was so much happier! The burger was excellent, grilled nicely, with the most delicate onion rings! I’m not a beer drinker, so diet sodas were my choice for drink. The service was pretty good, though I had to flag the waitress over to trade in my lunch order for another one, and then she didn’t come back to check how the burger was until I had completed eating it. She was good at making sure the drink refills kept coming, which was a plus.

I enjoy the fact that the menu is broad. Plenty of creativity in the kitchen but they still have pub food, so you’re covered either way. The bar area is definitely where you want to be. It’s a true representation of a UK/Irish pub. The other seating areas are family friendly, but they don’t have the same level of ambience. Their beers are usually pretty solid and I always appreciate a good porter, which they have. My only complaint is that the bar should have a TV for the football. Perhaps this will happen if the ‘Boro win the Championship this year!

This place was pretty cool. It is obviously quite the gathering place, especially during the summer. We had our pup, so we sat outside on the patio area. The waiter graciously brought the dog a bowl of water right of the bat. The inside is very interesting, sorta maze like. The food was good, but nothing that left me feeling amazed. I had the special burger for the day and it was decent. I’m giving the stars more for the experience than the food.

In from Columbus we decided to stop in to «Indiana’s First Brewpub» to sample their suds. Such a dysphemism is a perfect one for my glass smelled of bleach and the beer itself, their house IPA, was probably the worse I’ve ever had. One beer each and we were out pronto. The server was very attentive, which was nice when sitting at a table just drinking. Their patio is nice as well, in case you’re looking for such.

Upon walking into this dimly lit pub, you wouldn’t necessarily get an accurate idea of what the menu is made up of. Sure, there are classic pub staples like fish and chips, but alongside that there is a vegan counterpart! This place is truly a vegetarian/vegan haven, boasting an exciting and expansive menu geared towards this demographic. One major downfall is service, however. Come here expecting slow, and often rude, interactions with your server. Unless you happen to be lucky enough to get Kristi as your server-then you’re in luck. Oh, and keep an eye out for their jalapeño beer-after trying it just once, I think about it often!

My review might lose credibility when I tell you I ordered a margarita here and not beer, but WHEW, are those margaritas good! I was feeling it after one, so of course I ordered another. I think the secret may be the pineapple juice. Now onto the food. I honestly wanted to order 90% of the menu. Everything sounded delicious — such a variety. I opted for the Lawnmower chicken sandwich(breaded of course) and it was served with chips. I wasn’t in love with the chips, they were fine, next time I might substitute a side. The atmosphere is cozy, especially with the fireplace going. My one recommendation is to not come here if you are wanting to watch any sort of game — they only have one TV and its not in a prime viewing spot.
