Everything I’ve ever eaten from here is fresh and good! We almost eat here weekly. Huge menu and lots of a variety from American to Mexican.

Updating my original post just to say. I gave 4 stars because, although my entrée had some issues, the sides were sooo good, so I know some of their other options are good as well. Following my post, I was contacted by the owner to resolve the issue, which is just nice to know they value their customers. Awesome customer service.

I think Monon Food Company(MoFoCo) is one of the few restaurants where I can walk in, look at the menu, and want to order everything — there are a lot of fresh and healthy possibilities. However, something is missing for me. Don’t get me wrong, the food is delicious but, at least for me, there’s a disconnect between the overall environment and the food. Recently, a friend and I went at peak dinner time(6:30ish) and were one of maybe 3 tables in the restaurant. There was also a musician singing and playing guitar(and using a microphone) which made it incredibly hard to talk to someone just a couple feet away. It didn’t fit the feel or atmosphere of the place and I found myself annoyed that I wasn’t able to have a conversation over the music. I’ve tried and loved a lot of things here over the years — buffalo mac n cheese, burritos, fish sandwiches, etc. I had always heard about the tacos but never tried them, and they definitely didn’t disappoint. I had one buffalo chicken and one fish — and both were excellent. I thought I might have needed a side with my meal, but I left full and satisfied. I will say the price point was a bit high($ 9) for two tacos but there were a lot of fresh ingredients and they were delicious! So, I love the food but the atmosphere doesn’t cut it for me. Could be a great place for carryout orders. I think Allison F. summed it up pretty well — «would I come here again? Yes. Would I come here again anytime soon? Probably not.»

I’ve been here numerous times over the years and always had a good experience. Great for outside dining, kids, dogs, and grabbing a beer off the trail. The menu has expanded greatly over the years and feel like there is something for everyone. Always fresh and delicious. The staff are consistently friendly and expedient. Will be back again soon.

Holy Mole! Best Fish Tacos in Indy! Had the Hawaiian Fish tacos and they rocked! Sweet BBQ with a bit of tang and mango salsa with cabbage and Asian slaw! Yes! Also had the Maui Wow fish tacos. Plain Asian slaw, cabbage and fish, but still a great flavor and filling! Wife had the salmon and the carnitas tacos and that’s probably the quickest I’ve seen her eat in years! So good! Will be back to attack the Mac next time!

I’ve eaten here a few times and tried different things such as their burgers and fish tacos — hoping to find something I like since I like the location and sitting outside. I have never been that impressed with food and today was finally enough to make me comment. Waited a while even though it was 4 pm and no one else was outside(after we were seated). And they were out of most of the common good beers on their menus(sun king, blue moon). Sorry — but didn’t even stick around to try my next dish. Happy ending — brewpub across the street had it all.

I have yet to have a bad experience here. I brought a friend here who was visiting Indy. It’s always my task to take people to local places. My friend ordered the burger taco and the pork(mofo) taco. She preferred the burger taco over the pork taco. I got the apple walnut salad. It was great. Some people think ‘how can you mess up a salad?’ Believe me, I’ve had tasteless salads before. This wasn’t eat. It was the perfect size and amount. You could add meat for an additional fee but I didn’t need it. The service was great and we didn’t want for anything.

Famished after the annual duck race on the canal, we wandered over to Monon Food Co. where we were seated immediately on their deck with our 3 fur children(and rubber ducks.) Pup friendly, they brought our babes some fresh water almost immediately followed by water and drinks for the adults. Fabulous beer selection. About 15 – 20 different beers that are local to the midwest. They even had a wacky pineapple cider that was oddly tasty with the mango salsa. Their impressive taco selection is something to be admired. I ordered the carne asada and the mofoco pork(THEBEST). They were decently sized tacos and alongside the mango salsa, it was more than enough food. I say this because I was unsure of whether or not to add a side along with my tacos(fearing I would still be hungry after just two tacos) but alas, that was not the case. I was sufficiently stuffed. Our server was really nice. Answered my questions about the tacos and different beers and he brought our drinks and food out in a timely manor. Would love to come again and sample more of their tasty tacos and for more of that SALSA!

This placed lured me in on a nice Saturday evening with their great porch seating and convenient location just off of the Monon Trail. Similar to a handful of restaurants around this location, MOFOCO(as they refer to themselves) has a nice comfortable area that is spotted with trees and far enough from the traffic around the main strip that you can feel tucked away from the party area of Broad Ripple while only being a couple blocks away. In a massive display of will power that is not commonly found in my decision making history, I decided to get a couple of their tacos instead of the big plate of amazing looking mac and cheese that was full of delicious extras which was brought out to the table next to me right as I sat down. While deciding to skip the noodles and cheese was not an easy task, narrowing down my selection of tacos to just 2 was equally as tough. They have a long list of seafood, chicken, pork, veggie, and beef options that all have a variety of unique ingredients that give tacos a twist that I haven’t seen anywhere else. You can get everything from standard offerings to burger or buffalo chicken tacos. I can’t remember exactly what it was that I got, but they were both delicious and easy on the conscience while leaving me wanting to get back here to check more off of their list. The tacos that they serve are much larger than the street style tacos that a lot of places have, so the two that an order comes with were plenty to leave me stuffed. They also have a long selection of sandwiches and burgers, as well as some salads and a variety of different mac and cheese options. The beer offerings were enough to get by with something good for dinner, but it certainly would never be a reason to come here. The service seemed a little space-y, but definitely maintained a very hippie vibe to go along with the rest of the place. If you go at the right time, you can enjoy the live music that Plump’s Last Shot sometimes has going on their patio. This is definitely worth the visit for some good food and a great outdoor dining option.

I frequent MoFoCo, so I figure I’m due for an update since my last review was in 2013. Since my last review, a few things have changed and a few things have stayed the same. The fish tacos, on flour tortillas, are still the best thing on the menu. Closely followed by the veggie burger and hummus and pita. They have a super dog friendly patio, assuming you have a small dog. We, on the other hand, have a Great Dane. Not a big deal, but on a beautiful summer night we have to wait a bit for the right table to open up. To be fair, the hostess was going to seat us immediately, but I told her we would be very much in the way and I would prefer to wait for a table that would cause fewer issues for the staff. On a recent visit in June 2015, I noticed they had a new rotating beer menu in addition to the normal bottles/cans. I asked if they had draft now, but was told by our server, David, that they still only had bottles but he now does the ordering. Sounds good to me, so I told him to pick my beer. He provided me with a Lagunitas Sucks, which was incredible and a decent value for an 8% ABVIPA. My wife and I typically try to keep things healthy most of the time, and MoFoCo definitely provides options. I ordered the farm burger(pulled pork and bbq) as a veggie burger. My wife went with a salad. When the food came out it was quite good. I did notice that I was missing my coleslaw on the burger, but they were incredibly understaffed and David was doing his best to give us top notch service, so I let it slide. Overall, it’s a quality place. You can have a great meal, healthy if you prefer, and enjoy a great time on their patio.

I’m not positive how I do not have a review here yet. I love this place. I have one suggestion for you, if you do not order this, it is your fault that you missed out. MoFoCo Tacos. They are amazing! You must try them at least once before you review this place in my opinion. The other thing this place is known for is the Mac & Cheese. They have many variations of the classic and I’ve tried a few of them. They are all good but I just cant see ordering it as my main meal. I typically order one for the table so we can all share while ordering tacos as the entrée. Again, don’t forget! MoFoCo Tacos!!! If you need a suggestion for your second taco, I recommend the Chipotle Fish. :)

Pros: Dog friendly patio, friendly servers, pretty good food Cons: Not a very adventurous menu, no draft beers(only bottles) I have been stopping by a lot more since the weather got nice to bring my pup on the patio. Servers always make sure Fido has a big bowl of water next to the table. The only problem is that to get a table you have to see the hostess inside, but the second you open the door with a pooch in your arms you get told to keep the dog outside. I completely understand and don’t want a dog inside the restaurant, but there isn’t any other way to get a table! The service is always friendly here. Once I came with my sister and she forgot to sign her check and take her credit card, and someone sprinted after us for over a block to make sure she got her card back. That was awesome service. Food here is always pretty good. I am never disappointed, but not ever really impressed either. I have had the tacos, burgers, quesadilla, guac and a whole host of other items and tend to enjoy the tacos the most. I’ll be back for sure!

Great atmosphere along the Monon trail. The food has always been good and service is great! I’d recommend getting two tacos and a beer. The patio is wonderful when the weather is nice!

When is the last time you had a B.A.B? That means Baller Ass Burger! I just had one at Monon Food Company. I had the Egg Came First Burger. My server David served the shit out of us! He even took time to get to know my Dog. My boo got a quesadilla and she said«this might be the best dilla I have ever had, I shit you not» Great place, good prices and dog friendly. Didn’t make it to the restroom, so can’t speak to the comfort of the shitter. Chuck Longly signing off.

Food is always good! The food comes out so fast, pretty sure we were there for a total of 30 minutes. I get confused about their hours every time I visit. We have been told they are closed before at 8:30 but their sign clearly does not say that. Our server wore sunglasses which was a little awkward. All in all, it’s good food for what it is known for Mac n cheese and Tacos.

On a nice day, sit outside and people watch as Broad Ripple’s best walk by on the Monon. Always good black bean burger, salads, and sandwiches. My wife and I always share so I can speak for half a black bean burger and half of her Salmon salad, both of which were excellent. Friendly staff, quick service, reasonable prices.

Monon Food Company uses fresh ingredients and has quality food, however it wasn’t as good as I had expected. We went around dinner time on a Friday and the place was eerily quiet. The menu had a ton of delicious sounding options, however the tacos I ordered were both incredibly spicy and I ended up not being able to eat either of them, which stunk because they weren’t cheap. I wish I had been warned about the spice because the ingredients listed were very mild so it was unexpected. Muy caliente.

The setting was small and intimate, which was exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for. We visited during the winter time, but the deck looked big so summers there would be great! My boyfriend Nic had the Farm burger and mac and cheese. He enjoyed both, but the burger was a little on the messy side. I enjoyed a original burger and fries. I LOVED the burger so much, cooked to perfection. Our server was great and attended to us several times. During our visit there was live music, which was pretty loud.

Underwhelming. We tried the ginger salmon taco and spicy shrimp taco. The salmon taco was REALLY fishy and I didn’t taste any ginger. The shrimp taco was okay. We also tried the spicy steak mac and cheese and it lacked flavor. I thought maybe the base/sauce would have more flavor. The place was also pretty dusty. As someone who’s allergic to dust mites, I was almost ready to go as soon as I saw dust that had settled on top of the curtains.

Fabulous. How have we never been here before? Huge selection of great tacos and beers. My husband had a Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout, which was really good and worth the $ 7 price(eek). It was the first time we’d seen Dragon’s Milk in an individual bottle(they usually come in bomber bottles, according to him), so it was a treat to see this option at Monon Food Company. They also had a wide selection of other bottled beers(check out the counter area – it’s mind boggling) so you’re sure to find something you love. Now for the food. Wow, just wow. We ordered the following tacos: Buffalo chicken, Mofoco pork, and Black N Blue(beef), along with a cup of the soup of the day(cream of portobello with bacon and cheese). All were so delicious that I’m already chafing to go back and try all their other tacos. The Buffalo chicken had tons of tender juicy chicken with the best Buffalo sauce I’ve ever had(spicy but not overly so, with the right amount of tang), the Mofoco pork was tender with caramelized onions and a sweet savory flavor(maybe raisins?), and the Black N Blue had massive amounts of perfectly grilled steak along with bleu cheese. And the portobello mushroom soup? I have almost no words for how insanely good it was. Creamy, with big mushroom pieces, bacon, and cheese. We both loved every dish and can’t wait to go back for more.
