Omg! When in Hawaii we wanted a local restaurant with amazing food, we ran across this restaurant by accident & man we were lucky! They staff was so much fun, they put music on so we could sing and drink and enjoy our last day of vacation! If you are ever near you must go here! Amazing from the staff, food and drinks and very inexpensive!

This place was the highlight of our trip! It had the native feel to it and that was something that was hard to find. Very fun atmosphere, they were social and interactive with all of us. Us 5 ladies ended up spending our whole afternoon there because it was the most fun we had with people. Not only was the service unbeatable the food/drinks were even better! It was too bad we found this place the last day we were in Hawaii or we would have went everyday we were there!

This place was so good! We came here one morning for breakfast during our stay in Oahu. It was a great choice! I believe this place was featured in the food network channel. I ordered their French toast with blueberries and bananas scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is pretty small they do have outside seating but it’s small too. Inside you instantly see the bar/kitchen. They cook everything right there behind the counter rich is nice. Customer service was great. They were all very helpful and nice. However, it did take a while to get our food. Overall if you are in the area this is a for sure great place to stop by with the family for a nice breakfast: brunch.

Was there for the breakfast, and me and my boss both got the wrong change. Like I paid for one meal by $ 100 bill got $ 70 back. I realized later on and went to talk with the cashier. She was like I’m very sorry. Then my friend paid by $ 20 bill and she got only a filler back. She realized it later and went to complain but she didn’t get her change back. They asked her nationality, and because she’s Russian she didn’t give her back her change. Such a racist. I can’t believe it. They didn’t even admit their mistake. Just be careful when you go eat. They steal your money. And they got our order wrong, too. Their service sucks.

We were really happy with our food here. We had dinner and the service was quick and friendly. You order and then sit down. It’s a no frills type place right next to the beach. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it came with fried rice and salad. My husband ordered the bacon burger, which is 50% beef and 50% bacon. He got French fries with it. This restaurant was featured on food network. It’s delicious. Highly recommend.

Came here last night for dinner. First off, I don’t know how this place got on food network, but supposedly it did. The service was slow and they got my order wrong. The way they fixed it was to ask me what I wanted to do. I said you can just take the onions off, thinking they’ll rose it off and put a new piece of cheese on there. As I watched, he just took the onions off and was assembling the remain pieces back together until another guy said put a new piece of cheese on there. I was already irritated the fact that the cashier didn’t hear me say no onions and to think they can scrap the onions off. Well that’s the big deal anyway. As I sat down and had a bite of my burger, there was a baby cockroach on the table. Totally grossed me out. Now I’m paranoid of my food and what I’m sitting on. Sure enough, at the corner of my eye, a GIANT cockroach came running into the restaurants… towards ME! Omg, almost had a heart attack. A friend of mine killed it. Then again, another baby cockroach on the table! Not good. That’s not acceptable especially for place that’s recommended by food network. 1÷6÷2016 So it’s not recommended by the Food Network, it was on a show for improvements! The Food Network sign is just to draw people in.

First day we ordered a hamburger w garlic fries. Then came back for breakfast and ate the French toast w eggs n bacon. The food is GREAT. This place is small and very friendly. It’s exactly what we expected in Hawaii. Laid back and down to earth. The prices are amazing to be in the heart of Waikiki. We found this place due to a guy standing on the corner advertising. Don’t miss out.

Food and service was excellent. Best drinks we had on the island the entire time. Loco Moco was my favorite dish. Staff was great and had the Aloha vibe going on.

Arrived at 10:05 greeted the bartender cherrfully with a «how you doing?» Got a scoul and a «were closed» in return. I was like no you’re not, according to Unilocal you’re open until 11. Her response was«were closed!» Okey doey… if you can do disrepsct, I can do more disrespect. So I shouted«I want a manager now!» They actually cut the music and three people appeared behind the bar. So I reminded them that I took time out of my day to bring them money, during the time they were supposed to be open, so the least they could do would be to accept it. As I slapped a portfolio that I set on the bar. The manager told me that I could drink if wanted until 11. Needless to say I did not take the offer and I want Mac 24⁄7 instead.

Not the easiest place to spot from the road(thank you Google maps). Its down stairs technically. anyway, I wanted to try some local fare. The loco moco was on my list. And man; this place did not disappoint! The patty underneath the eggs was insane. The gravy was very tasty but a bit much for my preference. I May ask to go light next time. The coffee is good and the give free refills. I really wanted to try the pancakes but the loco moco was huge. It filled me up for my long flight back home. If I am ever in town again I will definitely be back to try some of their other tasty breakfast foods. the ambiance is very relaxed. In fact, it reminded me of a food truck in some ways. This is a must stop in my opinion as it typically has no line compare to other breakfast stops on the water front.

The 50⁄50 Bacon Burger gets 5 stars here. The bacon is blended into the beef patty, then flame grilled to perfection. The sweet bun is fresh and does the job of holding this huge burger together. This is probably my favorite burger on Oahu. The fries were crispy, hot and are made to order. The food here is just excellent overall. The only downside is that the place looks dirty. The tables and booth seats were not clean. The fan on the wall had layers of caked on dust and debris. The condiment containers were dirty too. I recommend picking them up with napkins when using them. Staff was friendly. Prices are typical for Waikiki. I will definitely be back when visiting Waikiki again!

What a nice surprise! We were walking on a busy street in Waikiki dreading the lines at the restaurants. Suddenly we’re handed a flyer from one of those guys you hate to take flyers from. We turned the corner and there we are eating a great breakfast without the wait! French toast with fruit, or eggs just how I like them. The only downside was, could have gone without the cook turning up and down the music every time she heard her favorite song. Plates, eating utensils are all disposable and nowhere to recycle – not environment friendly.

GOODMUSIC. LAIDBACKAMBIANCE. GREATFLAVORFULFOOD. FRIENDLYSTAFF. This place seriously got me taking a little break from my vacation just to write this review. Only a short walk from Waikiki beach, and right in the middle of the tourist area making it an easy access for visitors. Decided to go here because a person was passing out menus to the restaurant on the corner of our hotel. I was literally singing while eating my food. I usually don’t like pancakes but how am I gonna go to Hawaii and not order macadamia pancakes? I was just gonna do it for the picture lol but after eating them here. THEYWERESOGOOD!!! The gravy on the loco moco was the BEST and they cooked my eggs just the way I like it. Definitely recommend this place!

Good food. Righteous prices. No line. Sometimes you want to get a grub on without a wait and/or needing to empty your wallet. And there’s not enough of that in Waikiki. We went there for breakfast. Funny thing was we had walked by once and wondered what was going on with the joint. Then found it in a guidebook, which recommending it highly. So then checked it out on Unilocal.Which sealed the deal. And when we were headed there and walking down Kalakaua when we saw a guy waving a sign and recruiting customers. Which we didn’t need because of the wonders of GPS, but I thought it was a «good sign» as it were. Meanwhile, our meal rocked. Local Portuguese omelette was excellent. My pancake was very good, just slightly overcooked. I hate bad pancakes, and ShoreFrye is legit. Bloody Mary was solid too. My gf thought her vegetarian omelette was just OK. What really makes this a four-star spot are the proper prices given the quality of the food. Sure, it’s not fancy, or a buffet with a view — just a few tables and a bar inside, a few tables outside and funky chicas slamming it out on the grill and behind the counter. Winner!

Ate here three times during our week in Hawaii. All meals were breakfast. This review is for their breakfast. Located on a corner below sidewalk level. Pretty basic layout. You order at a counter. There are 3 tables inside and I believe a couple outside. Everyone is friendly and the breakfast is good. They use a thick beacon when most use the wimpy paper thin beacon. If you are staying in the area, it sure beats waiting in line for half hour to get in one of the other places to eat.

My boyfriend and I came here on our first full day in Waikiki. We actually ended up here because we could find the musubi placed that I wanted to go to. Actually turned out to be a decent decision. I ordered the strawberry kiwi pancakes with Portuguese sausage and my boyfriend ordered steak and eggs. While there wasn’t any line to order, there was quite some time before our food was actually ready. Not an issue, since there were fresh preparing the food for everyone who had previously ordered. The only issue with the food that I had was that somehow at 8 am they were already out of strawberries, not a big deal since I was able to substitute with blueberries. I guess you have to get there really early to get strawberries. I couldn’t tell you how my boyfriend’s breakfast tasted… he finished everything before I’d manage more than 5 bites of my pancakes. Service was decent considering the number or orders; and that the cashiers were also did all food prep/cooking. Be aware that this is very much a hole-in-the-wall place with very cramped and limited seating. We ended up in this half booth that looked like it was shoved into the free space between a full-sized booth and the wall. Barely enough room for our knees, much less our food. Not a bad place to eat, but there were other places that we ended up enjoying much more. If you are in Waikiki for more than a few days worth a shot.

Not my first choice for a quick lunch in Waikiki… The food is just… ok. You order at the counter and pick up your food when it’s ready. They do have an open kitchen so you can see while they are cooking your steaks/shrimps whatever. I’ve tried the loco moco, the steak and shrimp, and the regular shrimp plate. Nothing is really amazing. I don’t like the flavoring of the shrimp and the steak is just your regular food court style steak. Loco moco is the only thing I’d reallly recommend here. Also, it doesn’t really mean much to me that they were featured on the food channel cuz the show that they were on was about how they managed the restaurant poorly. It’s not like they were on Man vs. Food or something. I’d say if you were really hungry and were passing by the restaurant, it’s an ok spot to eat. But otherwise I’d go somewhere else for my meal.

Order at the counter and pick up type of place. Good was subpar, even though they promote they were on the food network. Ordered the 50⁄50 loco moco and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. We also got the local boy which was a egg omelette with Portuguese sausage and cheese. Not too bad, there was a lot of cheese and sausage in it, so in general its a good meal. Oh, for some reason they didn’t have any plastic knives. The patty in the loco moco was a bit hard to eat as it was a big patty and only had a spoon and fork to cut through the thick meat. Unfortunately, had to re-rate based off the fact I walked back in to get something and saw one of the cooks sneeze next to the pan she was cooking with. By all means, it wasn’t intentional but didn’t make feel too great about what I just ate.
