Probably one of the worst buffets I’ve ever been to. First off, this place is extremely hard to find. You have to take an elevator and travel across a terrace to get there. Second off, it’s pricey! Third off, the food tastes bad. Fourth off, a lot of Unilocal pictures had crab legs… I didn’t get any! Bottom line: spend your money elsewhere $ 31.95 for an adult dinner on Tuesday night(pretty pricey for the low variety). We went there and asked the hostess what time they close, she said 10 so we had about an hour to dine. We went inside and it was completely empty. If we knew it was so empty, we wouldn’t have agreed to dine. Even though it was empty, the hostess still sat us away from the food and near the door. Doesn’t make sense for us to have to get up and travel… Food: fried rice, coconut flavored potatoes, pork adobo, beef teriyaki, grilled chicken, salad bar, 1 type of soup, fruits Desserts: crème brûlée(without the burnt crispy topping), fruit tarts, jello, flan, a few different cakes(which were extremely dry) Poke station: ehhhh not the freshest I’ve tasted, but not the worst. I couldn’t finish it because it just didn’t taste right Prime rib: dry… And that is all the food they had. Low variety, low quality, and low taste. Nothing was a «wow». I would save my $ and go elsewhere. Only great thing was the waiter. He was extremely attentive and friendly.

I came here for the breakfast buffet which was approximately $ 28.95 per person. Was it worth it? Hell no. Menu: — Fruit(pineapple, bananas, oranges, apples, watermelons) — Asian(congee, rice) — Pastries(muffins, bagels, toast, cinnamon rolls) — Omelette station — Waffle station — Typical breakfast items(sausage, eggs, bacon) — Juices(not freshly squeezed, but artificial) I was not impressed, nor should you.

Buffet style and breakfast came with my room at the Marriott. The food was standard buffet fare plus some more traditional Hawaiian foods. It was pretty good and the service was friendly. I also had no trouble getting seated at peak breakfast hours.

Food was decent; service was okay. Not too attentive which was a surprise since we came on a Wednesday and there were only 5 other groups eating. We got half off the normal price which was nice, but only because it was a slow night.

Been there twice this week already, although the Buffett is a small in comparison with others in Waikiki. I have to say their prime rib is by far the best of all their competition. It is the juiciest and the most tender. And their nightly menu changes but the prime rib is always the star of the show. The snow crab nights are better than the others as well. Still the best price around. Our waiter Dean was very friendly and attentive, really made the dining experience memorable. This is the best spot for the best prime rib hands down. The desert selection is pretty good, no ice cream. I may go for some tonight.

Service was good and food was good but the hostess ruined it when she seated us by joining two tables for a party of three when there was plenty of One tables that could accommodate 4. It wasn’t that busy.

I always eat here, I love me pasta mondays. Some of staff remember us from before, even though we come to Hawaii once or twice a year. Friendly staff, good food. They are located on the third floor by the pool, signs will lead you the way.

They have a lot of options for the breakfast buffet but the omelets are the best. It’s the standard Marriott quality. I was here four days in a row. The servers are very sweet and attentive.

I came here because it was the only place open at 5 am. It is basically the hotels continental breakfast buffet. That was fine since I just wanted to eat. The shocker came when the bill was 30 dollars. What a scam! I am confused about all of the reviews since I ate better food in the Army. Looking at the photos again, it seems somebody spent a lot of time plating and dressing up their buffet food. Bizarre.

best kept secret for crab leg and prime rib . this buffet is on the small side, but if you love to eat crab leg and prime rib, this is the place to be . the crab legs are steamed and served with clarified butter . the hot food section is so so, nothing really worth mentioning . there is a salad bar, some soup and cheese. but wait… there is the best cake dessert section i’ve ever seen on a buffet . this is cake heaven… i love cake, and usually it’s very dissapointing on buffets, but not this one. i had the chantilly, mango, coconut and chocolate cake. all off them super delicious and oh so fluffy and soft. there were some cheesecake and other desserts too, but i was already too full … next time. the crab legs are only served fri-sun dinner buffet . the price is 37.95 $, but if you go there between 5 –6 pm, you get 20% discount . so you only pay 30.36 $ per person for all you can eat crab leg and prime rib.

The best king crab legs in the island. Steamed to perfection and served with clarified butter. Sadly I have to stay away from shell fish but if you want all you eat giant king crab legs, then this is the place to go. Their prime rib is also the best in town. Cooked to perfection. Ask the carver for a slice according to how thick you want it. If you like the king cut, they will cut it for you. Their prime rib is tender and cooked on the rare side. If you don’t like it too rare they can pan fry it for you. The buffet is rounded out with a soup and bread section, cold salad bar with fruits and cold items such as smoked salmon and shrimp and cheeses, and other hot entrée items for non meat or seafood eaters, and a very nice selection of desserts. It’s a well rounded buffet that has something for everyone. Overall restaurant rating 5 Food quality 5 Food selection 4 Value for the price 5 Friendly staff 4.5 All in all this is our go to place for a fast meal, reasonable price, and all you can eat. One of the best family buffets in town.

My son wanted to eat at a buffet for his birthday and looked around, but most restaurants that offer buffets are at least $ 50, and it was hard to find one with a dumb phone. Being in the dark ages, I finally saw the light after I finally got a smart phone and could just hop onto Unilocal to find kuhio beach grill listed. Just one tap on the phone to call instead of finding a phone book(have you younger generation ever looked in one?) I was trying to stay away from being on the screen all the time, but I guess it is inevitable. Having a smart phone enables me to write more reviews instead of waiting to go home, then find myself too tired to write. Now I understand why people couldn’t communicate with me or not being able to find places. but now I am back writing and posting reviews as a non-elite to let you all read another opinion of places, as I rely on Unilocal to find places as well. At first I wondered if the cost would reflect the quality of food since if was almost half the price of other restaurants, and some of the reviews stated that the crab legs were small, but we decided to try it out anyway because of other good reviews: corn chowder– 5 stars — very creamy with a nice heavy flavor. I didn’t want to eat too much of it since there were so much other food. prime rib — 4 stars — a little chewy but pretty good. the sauce was a little salty but it made the meat a lot tastier to want seconds. crab legs — 5 stars — cannot go wrong getting all u can eat crab legs for only $ 30. My younger son ate 3 plateful. It was already flavored without the butter which made it less fattening. salad bar — 3 stars — was just a basic variety of veggies that I didn’t bother to eat. other hot foods — wasn’t that much of a variety that captured me, so didn’t taste any. dessert — 3 stars — average, and the chocolate wasn’t as strong tasting so it didn’t impress me birthday icecream brownie cake — 5 stars — I asked if they did anything for birthdays and the waitress didn’t really say anything, but at the end of our meal, she brought us a really nice and awesome tasting brownie ice cream chocolate cake that we had to make room in our tummies for because it was so delicious! It also had a happy birthday chocolate candy to go with it. Unfortunately, my phone ran out of juice so I couldn’t take a pix of it. Overall, I give it a 4 or more stars because of the early bird cost of $ 30 for adults and only $ 17 for kids under 12 if you arrive by 6pm, prime rib, crablegs, local friendliness of the waitress, very kid friendly, special cake and 4 hour validation to give us extra time to enjoy walking around waikiki, especially since the pan pacific hoolaulea event was happening to make a very special family event.

Went for Seafood buffet with my dad. The food and service were subpar and considering that it is below ground level, the atmosphere left something to be desired as well. The odd thing about the food is that it is prepared in a way to cause the customer lots of work while making it easy on the cooks. For example the have cold shrimp with the shell, legs and vain still attached. If I wanted to clean the shrimp I would buy them at the market and eat at home. Same situation with the crab legs. Small legs, not scored, not shucked and the don’t even give you an oyster fork. They also had both hard and soft cheese, but no crackers, so I ended up eating the soft cheese with a fork. I expect better attention to guest experience in a four-star buffet than I got. Service also missed the mark, the waiter never even asked my did if he wanted a drink, he had gone to the restroom, the nearest one is outside of the restaurant and down a hall. When I waiter took my drink order. The hostess also did not show him where I had been seated making him search. The décor is one big room that gets noisy and drafty if they prop the outside door open. They do offer outside seating, but it is also below ground so there is not desireable view no matter where you sit. Probably will not go back. The maître d’ did give us a discount when I complained and also suggested that if I didn’t want to clean the seafood, I should come on a night when they don’t offer it.

The all you can eat crab legs and prime rib buffet is fabulous! This is always my go-to favorite place to eat in Waikiki. The crab legs are large and steamed perfectly and the prime rib is tender and medium rare(upon request). We like to sit outside and enjoy the live music from across the street(it’s not too loud to drown out a good conversation but it’s nice background music). I’ve been going here pretty regularly since 2005 and the buffet has never let me down. For what you can spend on the crab legs alone at Costco(which you still have to cook), you get a full buffet with a wonderful dessert line and many other various dishes to try, as well as salad bar and soup selections. The Mai Tai’s are also really delicious. This crab legs and prime rib buffet is my first choice, even above any expensive restaurant in Waikiki as the food is wonderful, it has a comfortable atmosphere(and outside seating), great prices and did I say the food was wonderful? If you’re not into crab legs than it may not be your cup of tea but if you are — this is the place. :)

The service is friendly but the food is average hotel food and the prices are outrageous. Walk a block either way down the street for better food at a better value.

Well, we came here for a yakudoshi for my friend. It was buffet only and the first prime rib piece I got was awesome! The second one was too thick and a little to rare. The décor was simple Waikiki style. There’s a cute outdoor seating area which overlooks the busy Kalakaua street which was nice for people watching! The dessert line was cute and had a variety of sweets. I liked the cheesecake. My friend loved the bread pudding. Park in their lot and they’ll validate — 4 hours free in Waikiki is awesome! I didn’t eat much more, but everyone loved the crab legs :)

****The review is only to the buffet breakfast. **** During our 3 night stays in Marriott hotel, we have daily buffet breakfast including in our hotel package, so I had my breakfast at Kuhio for 3 days, luckily, it’s only 3 days, I don’t know if I can take it for more than 3 days. They have the same buffet breakfast item everyday, the food is really just mediocre, it won’t worth the price they charge($ 21+/ppl as I remembered), there is always long line waiting for getting in, I do appreciate the host trying her best to arrange seats for everyone as quickly as possible, I just don’t like the feel of waiting in a line. Overall, if you are thinking if you should add buffet package at your Marriott hotel booking, I will urge you NOT to do so, given the location of Marriott is in the heart of Waikiki, there are so many restaurants(including McDonald) within walking distances, I will save the money and go to explore other breakfast places !

I had a seat terrace today. Their chair are high for me. But atmosphere was good. They have crab & early bird only week end. I’m going come weekend next time.
