I was a little bit sketch about going to a place that serves breakfast, Italian, and Chinese, and we’re not talking about a fusion place. There were mixed reviews too … So I was hesitant to say the least. To be safe, I ordered the baked spaghetti, can’t go wrong with that, right? It was ok but pretty dry, I had to get a side of Marinara sauce to dump over it and then it was ok. The side soup, cream of vegetables was pretty good– tasted like cream of corn We also got the Margarita pizza, super thin crust, toppings completely falling off, and bland. 80% of it was mozzarella cheese. The cucumbers on the side salad were dry as well. Service was decent, but probably won’t return. They should change their name to anykine* café.

I’ve gone to this place many times but today was probably the last time. The food was good and the servers(we had two) were not too bad but they made it awkward because my friend and I were deaf. The female server was obviously inexperienced in dealing with deaf people but she was nice though. I still gave good tip. However, the hostess(older Asian woman) probably in her late 50’s wasn’t too friendly. I wasn’t sure if it was because we were deaf sometimes that gives some people a fright. lol.

I always come to this restaurant, and it’s always a good experience. This time around was terrible. Beyond bad. It started out great with water being served, food order was taken immediately. When it was time to check out, the server didn’t listen to what I wanted to take to go. Had to ask her couple more times. Told her I wanted the chicken and rice together and throw away the left over bones. Then the worst part was when she put the bowl into the plate with chicken that I was taking home. How sanitary is that?! When I asked the second time for a box she didnt even wait till I was done talking and left when I wanted the sauce to go with the calamari. So I asked the third time. The next day and when wanted to eat the leftover… She put the eaten bones with the chicken. When I explicitly told her to throw it away. It’s kind of common sense that if you eat chicken and it’s just bone. Throw it out. Easy and simple. When I got the check, they tried to charge me for something I didn’t even eat. This used to be one of my favorite places. I don’t know what is happening to this place.

The overall food portion is great and the food quality is good. The first time I went there, when I ordered my chicken Alfredo with the mushrooms on side, the lady(older lady) gave me a weird look. I found it kind of rude because everyone is different, so there is no need for judgement. Other then that, I think people should come here for the food and the other waitresses’. This restaurant is interesting in a sense where they mix Italian with Chinese. The interesting part is that there is one Italian cook and one Chinese cook.

Well as a first timer, i have to say that the food i ordered was pretty good and the garlic bread was tasty too as well as the onion pancakes. Also the french fries was very tasty too. But the one that really turned me off was when inquired about the green Mondays special i was like… ok how come it was not offered anymore and i checked out the website and it said it was being offered. That was like if you do offer the special you have to at least put it on the menu and honor the deal so that people will know what specials they offer in the restaurant so that it would be great to see it as well as the waitress was kind of hard to understand what she was trying to say too. The diet pepsi i ordered was a ok but i think that once the newer version of the diet pepsi comes out without the aspartame, i can enjoy it as much as I can, however one suggestion that would be a good idea how about byob(bring your own beverage) so that way it will save $$$ too. I hope whoever put that special on the Internet please make sure that it is not on there because it going to confuse the customers and it will take that the people will be under the assumption that it is still being offered but it is not. Other than that it is a good place to eat and hopefully I’ll be back there soon

One of my new favorite places to go. There’s so much to choose from and everything I’ve tried is amazing. My personal favorite is the Loco Moco! The staff is always attentive and friendly which is a huge plus in my book. :)

Food was good, dessert was fantastic! The service is different if you’re not accustom to Asian style service. Still very professional. The honey lemon drink is amazing and the perfect cure for a «vog» throat! Had the pork sandwich which was lean and tender. It came with fries AND a toss salad! Very good.

The entire experience was just mehhh. I did enjoy my mushroom risotto. That was made very well. But, the service wasn’t really on point. It seems they rushed us into ordering, and once we got our main entrees they barely checked up on us. It even took a while for us to receive our check.

First time here… but I think it’ll be our new favorite restaurant on the Island! From the moment we walked in, I could tell these folks care about their customers. The interior seemed clean and well kept with nice ambiance. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and one gentleman, I think he’s the manager, took time to make small talk with my kids. I appreciate it when someone does that. The first table we were offered, near the front, was super cold being right under the A/C vent. It’s a frigid 67 degrees in Honolulu tonight… we couldn’t take any more cold! Our host could sense it right away and quickly brought us to the back were it was much warmer. Thanks! The menu… oh, the menu! As the other reviews pointed out, the menu is extensive and varied. So much that we were slightly overwhelmed by the choices. In the end we ordered the seafood alfredo, shrimp risotto, meatball spaghettini, and the meat lasagna. We shared all four dishes and the consensus was, although happy with all four dishes, the seafood alfredo was the best, followed by the risotto. The other two dishes were delicious, just to be clear. Also included with one of our entrees was the tomato bisque which was also a winner. Next visit we plan to try the pork chop w/fried rice, beef shank lo mein, shrimp wontons, and the osso busco. Anytime café, thanks for a great evening and wonderful meal. We’ll be back and plan to do a whole lotta of eating with you!

I would have rated this place a 5 star had it not been for what happened during checkout. The food was splendid. The service was outstanding until the very end. Sigh! We were done eating and I asked for the bill. The server prints out the bill on this tiny machine which doubles as a credit card reader. After handing me my bill, she stands there and wants to know if I’m leaving the tip in cash or if it’s going on my credit card. I was a little taken aback. I wanted to remind her that tipping is not mandatory. Considering the food and service was good until that point, I didn’t want to be a douche. I told her that I would leave the tip on my credit card. Then, she wants to know HOWMUCH I’M TIPPING her, so she can run my card. Are you frickin’ kidding me? That’s the rudest shit ever! I eat out quite frequently, and this is the first time this has ever happened in my life. I wanted to tell her ZERO, but I’m not sure if this is standard practice at the restaurant. It was my first time here. If this is how management runs things, I didn’t want to take it out on her. I tipped the standard 15%. Management needs to change their checkout system. Going back to the beginning, the food and service was outstanding. We ordered the Steamed Clams with White Wine Sauce, Shrimp Wonton Noodle in Broth, Salmon Alfredo, and Mango Snow Ice. The clams were huge and plump. It came in this garlicky wine sauce. Yummers! They only give nine clams a serving though. My shrimp wontons were so delicious. Six large wontons filled with huge pieces of shrimp and pork in a savory broth. The Hong Kong style noodles were hairlike thin and had this crunch when I bit down on it. I poured red vinegar over the wontons and noodles, perfection. It’s just like how they do in Hong Kong. I tasted a piece of salmon in my hubby’s dish. It was smooth and the alfredo sauce, creamy. We both loved the Mango Snow Ice. They gave a decent amount and had something to go with it on the four corners of the plate. Two of the corners had jelly, one had mango fruit, and the other corner boba filled with syrup. They all mixed well together. The servers were pleasant. They came and asked if everything was ok, filled the water glasses, and were very efficient. The checkout system is a major fail.

Wonderful customer service from the moment I stepped foot through the door until the time I left. Dinner was so good and everything tastes so fresh! That’s very important when you order a clam dish! Even the garlic had a wonderful bite to it. There’s nothing like freshly chopped garlic! Yum! This was my first visit here and my husband and I ended up ordering the same dish, which we were told was one of the most popular dishes~ Clam Spaghettini with a white wine sauce. Garlic bread on the side was so good! Definitely coming back! We came in around 5 pm midweek to beat the mad rush, as this place is always packed! Parking is limited since its in a small shopping center but today was great.

Hubby and I checked this place out last night after looking for a new place to eat for dinner. They had the best reviews of most places in this shopping center so we decided to give it a try. There was a few people inside, and we were seated immediately. The place is really clean, super comfortable chairs! Nice atmosphere. They literally have anything you could be in the mood for on their menu… Pizza, pasta, Chinese food, Japanese food, a noodle bar, desserts, wine and beer, and more. Prices are fairly decent too! I had the chicken Parmesan, and hubby had the beef ramen. Pretty tasty dishes. My only complaint with the chicken parm was that the sauce was a bit tart for my taste. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the garlic bread on the side was probably the yummiest thing on the plate. Hubby really enjoyed his noodles too. We each had a glass of the plum wine(yum!) We each had ice cream for dessert, vanilla for me and mango for him. Nice way to end the meal! The only weird thing we noticed was when it came time to pay. Waitress has a handheld card reader that she brought to the table. We had to tell her directly how much tip we were leaving her… Awkward situation if you aren’t planning on leaving a good tip… We ended up giving her probably more than we normally would just because it was an uncomfortable situation.

Anytime Café was a great experience, the space is small but they managed to get a lot of seating into it somehow. Some of the restaurant’s storage has escaped into the dining space but it is still organised and seems clean. Alright, let’s do categories. Restaurant Space: As mentioned above, Anytime Café is a pretty narrow location, but it is long. The décor in the space is really nice with a very fair attempt at a luxury setting, this illusion is somewhat breached by the boxes of supplies in the back end of the dining room but it’s not messy. You can see right into the kitchen from parts of the dining floor and from what I could see it was pretty clean back there as well. Service: The service we had was awesome, the wait staff kept on our table whenever we needed something and only had one minor error with a side order of garlic bread. Menu: Oh, this is a new category, why am I reviewing the menu itself?! Before I get to the food I have to explain to those who might not know, Anytime Café’s menu covers a VERYWIDE spectrum of styles and types of food. There is Italian and Asian as well as local favorites and some steaks. The following«food» category only applies to what I personally ate. Food(Meat Lasagna): This dish was great, hot, but great. I usually get lasagna at Italian restaurants so you’d think I’d be able to spell«Lasagna» by now without having to google it.. . but you’d be wrong.. . Some day.… Anyway, the pasta on this was well cooked and the sauce carried a lot of flavor, the cheese was alright as well and all in all I would order it again if I didn’t have the rest of the menu to explore next time. Food(Fried Dumplings): Yes.. . just yes, order this, eat it, love it. Despite a few visual problems like the storage Anytime Café still gets my 5 star thanks to the cleanliness, food and waitstaff.

I’m guessing this is the Café Kalia breakfast overflow spot. It was for us anyway. Ordered a simple egg white veggie omelet with toast, fruit and pancakes. Tasted as expected. On the greasy side. Pancakes were plain. Only a few pieces of fruit. Toast was toast. Not too exciting. Not much in the way of waiter service either. The rest of their menu looks alright but breakfast definitely isn’t their specialty. Nothing wrong with the place. Just nothing to go out of your way to try.

I really tried to love this place but I was sadly let down. The food was alright. My dad had the Loco Moco Benedict and was pretty disappointed with his decision. Although the patty was good, his eggs were overcooked and the gravy tasted like it was made from a powder mix. The Mochi Waffles I had were alright but a bit pricey for 3 pieces. Taste was pretty good though. They were cruchy yet chewy and they came with whippex cream and fresh fruits. My mom had the Salmon breakfast and she was happy with her choice. The thing that really made this into a 3 star review though was the wait staff. They weren’t very friendly and after they cleared our dishes we were left to wait for our bill(with no one checking up on us) for about 15 – 20 minutes.

This is an interesting place… it wants to be Italian, but is borderline Chinese. It has super cheesy Ross Dress for Less Décor, but it adds a level of coolness. The food itself was very tasty, simple, but tasty. Definitely a try for a lunch date, but not something to rave about.

An interesting place. Chinese food & Italian food at the same place. Nice atmosphere. Usually busy when I come Big variety in food. Also a small wine selection to go with your pasta I like the beef brisket and tendon dry noodle and the garlic wings. This place is worth a try and if your indecisive between Chinese and pasta. You could come here and get both !

This place is awesome! I like coming here for lunch and dinner because they have a lot of items on their menu. There’s American, Italian, and Chinese food. My favorite here is the fishball look funn. They make theirs Hong Kong style with the fish ball and fish cake. I’ve order it from other Chinese restaurants and I only get fishballs, no fishcake and it’s just NOT the same. I also like eating their House Burger. They actually make a very tasty burger that comes with a side of salad and french fries. The interior of the restaurant is clean, spacious, and well designed. I’ve never had to make a reservation to eat here because I normally go with 2 – 3 people. If you’re coming with more than 6, you probably want to reserve it so they can move the tables together. Their tables are set up to seat 4 people. If you’ve traveled to Hong Kong and you enjoy eating the café style food, you’ll like it here. The prices are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. They also have a happy hour from 2pm-4pm. That menu is mostly appetizers.

Superbowl Sunday. Mom wanted a sit-down snack as it was getting on 3:00pm. There were many parking stalls to choose from and several restaurant options. Mom didn’t know what she wanted to eat, so I decided Anytime Café. It was almost empty. Nice wide chairs which were quite comfy. Being a short, plus size gal, seating is a «big» issue. Seats can’t be too hard or too squishy, or too high or too low. The menu had lots of pictures, but beware, looks can be deceiving. The green onion pancake was quite dense and flavorless. I guess that’s where the sauces come in. The lookfunn was great. It was right out of the pan, so a little crispy. A++ on that. Also ordered the turnip cake which had bits of char siu throughout. Needed sauce for this, too, For only 3 items, it was a lot of food. We even had leftovers. It was a satisfying and very inexpensive snack at $ 12.00. I hope to go back for breakfast one day for the Shanghai dumplings! Enjoy!
