Getting chicken biryani ia like playing poker. Sometimes u get fresh chicken in biryani other times not really. Perhaps fridays are the best night to get best food.

Definitely a good place to go if you like authentic biriyani. Their service is good and on time. The food is pretty consistent. I would definitely suggest others to try the chicken chettinad from here it’s really good.

I had heard lot about this place. Well Now I have tried food in both Biryani pointe of this area. My feedback is that waste of money. I ordered goat biyrani, chicken biyani and double ka mitha. It will be insult of biryani to call goat biryani as biryani .very dry not cooked properly. surely not dum biyani, I felt like rice and mutton cooked separetly and mixed I will give 1 out of 10. worst goat biryani ever tried. Chicken biryani was also not good but better than goat biryani. chef tried making this hyderabadi style dum biryani but a flop show.3 out of 10 I will suggest owner to try biryani in paradise biryani pointe, Ellicott city they will understand what is missing… Double ka mitha was really good. liked that .if ever I will dare to go there this item will surely order. 8 out of 10

Went to this restaurant last night since it was one of the closest indian restaurants to DC. We ordered tandoori chicken, veg/chicken biryanis and mango lassi. The tandoori chicken was good but the biryanis were terrible! The gravy served with biryani was not good either. The tandoori chicken and mango lassi were our saviors but otherwise, really pathetic biryanis. Heard a couple other people also complaining while heading out after our dinner. I would not recommend this place to anyone for biryani. Try biryani elsewhere!!!

I wonder why this restaurant doesn’t have better ratings. This is by far the most consistently good(over many years) Indian restaurants in the area. Great food, great and professional service. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 stars is because they sometimes tend to mess up the spice levels just a little bit but other than that the place is great.

If this is the best biryani place in the area, then I don’t want to eat biryani in this area. Had a little bit of a kick but overall the chicken biryani was a bland dish.(I ordered it «hot.») Atmosphere was dark, which I wasn’t much of a fan of. The prices were on the expensive side, especially for the gulab jamun and chai. Gave them an extra star for their service, it was all around good for me.(Short wait, brought out the chai last, cashier was nice).

This is a good place to get spicy hyderabadi biryani couple of years ago. We ordered couple of spicy biryani and it was too mild and salty. this happend us a lot recently better try your own recipe, one day your biryani will definetly beat this unflavoured salted«herndon» biryani.

Nothing special. I had chicken with a green sauce, kind of odd. The meat took in the food coloring of the sauce, was a little unappetizing to look at. The taste of the food was sort of average. The portions were not very large, especially given the price. This was my only visit there so maybe it wasn’t a good dish to order or it was an off day. It was a let down, but not a total loss.

If you are looking just for HOT, SPICY and Authentic Indian food, don’t mind any of other reviews. Come here just for the food. I tried a lot of dishes on their menu and I was never disappointed. My favourites are, Chicken Vepudu(They put some chat masala to garnish it and OH !!!), Masala Naan and Chicken Kandahari(A must have), Chicken Boneless Biryani !!! Sometimes the service might be bad, sometimes thw place is not ambient enough, and sometimes it might seem off !!! But, the food speaks to soul !!! Thank you Paradise for making me feel home. I travel from Baltimore just for this place :)

I had heard a lot about this place and wanted to try it for a long time. We decided to pick up. The ambiance is mediocre like any fast food place. I ordered the vegetarian biryani and was disappointed. Firstly, the food is spicy here so if you cannot handle spicy food like me, make sure to get it mild. The biryani was mediocre. I have had better biryani. The actual masala was not mixed properly. It felt like I was eating plain rice. I don’t think I’ll order biryani from here again. Perhaps the other things on the menu are great. But since the name of this place is Biryani Point, I expected their speciality to be just that. Thumbs down from me!

I went to this divey restaurant hearing good things about it. Alas, small(er) portions, a-ok taste and expensive biriyani. I do not know whether their quality has fallen or whether they were always like this. Maybe they are coasting on their earlier reviews. I was there a year ago, so some things may have changed. I for one, am not going back. Update 01÷15÷15 — I had to come here again because my coworkers wanted to come here and surprisingly, it was much better this time. So, I decided to do a head to head comparison between Hyderabadi Biryani Corner and Paradise Biriyani Pointe by taking take out from both on the same day. Surprisingly, the things are now reversed between the two. The flavors and quanity were much better here than at Hyderabadi Biryani Corner. I have changed my rating to 4 from 2 stars.

The boneless chicken biryani is just great. Some might find it to be spicy but it was perfect for me. There is nothing much to talk about the ambiance though.

Nothing exceptional. Pretty basic and ordinary biryani for a relative expensive price. Portions aren’t enough either. If you have no where else to go, and craving for biryani that you cant overcome and few extra bucks, then shoot for this place and you wont go again

At times biryani could be really awesome. Half of the time it’s average. Sometimes you hate it. Hit or miss. NON biryani items are good some times. But you can see quality isn’t always best when it comes to chicken dishes. Taste is average to above average. My rating: SHOULDTRY.

The restaunt is a bit small but the food is excellent and taste really good. There are no waiters so you have to order your food from the counter upfront, the restaurant has a nice ambiance/décor, and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant if you happen to be in the area.

they have this strange disc-lightish chandelier right at the entrance, that gives this place a VERY shady look! lol The briyani — even their mild spicy is HOT and spicy! I tasted some from my friend and it killed mt tastebuds for the next 45 minutes. Maybe that is why my samosa chat tasted bland and awful! Oh not to mention that chat had 3 little pieces of samosa, rather than the usual 2 full samosas broken up at other places. for the $ 8 I paid for it, this was a complete rip off — the one at Shiny sweets is double taste for almost half the price. Their salted lassi was over salted too, so when I tried to drown the spice of the biryani with my lassi, my mouth only felt more aggravated with the overdose of salt. ugh!

One of the best mutton biryani. Pros: — good spice levels — portion is of good size. — mutton biryani has great flavor — raita is good. Most of the places it is an after thought and sour. — service is quick Cons: — rest of the food is average. I had once. So I stick to their name and order biryani every time.

We got Paradise biryani in Houston and neither Houston nor the location in Herndon, VA matches Hyderabad in ambience or taste. My colleagues and I went here today after a long day at work to get some very well needed spicy food(we were fed salad and bland pasta for lunch). We ordered cut mirchi chat, veg manchuria, egg biryani, veg biryani and chicken biryani. We asked for all the items to be made hot and when we order hot in an Indian restaurant it’s supposed to be assumed HOT for indian standards. Our food was bland. at par with the pasta we had for lunch! Well I think I should write about the customer service first. These guys are severely under staffed. There is only one person at the front counter and only person delivering the food to the table. Well. I don’t frankly care about how many folks are working in and out of kitchen so lets leave the number out of equation. It took us about good 10 mins to get to the counter to order our food. Our food quickly arrived in about 45 mins. I needed a to go box which I was able to get in 15 mins waiting at the front counter. It’s not the fault of the person working at the counter who is taking the ordersr. he just needs some additional help. I actually felt bad for him that I did not make a fuss and patiently waited to get the to-go box and bag. Raita was warm and salan that comes with biryani was cold. Cut mirchi chat was actually good. It had good level of spice from chillies and crunch from peanuts in the chat. However, I felt it was missing some sauce. that binding element to bring the dish together. With a little help from lemon, the dish was pretty good. The less I speak about veg manchuria the better. There was just too much of soy sauce in it. All the biryanis tasted the same and nothing inspiring about them. I was hoping this place could be better than Houston. But I left with a heavy heart and a lighter tummy by the end of the meal. I was so disappointed that I helped myself to some ice cream from Mc Donald’s :-) I never eat at mcd but their ice cream cone is just yummilicious and only 150 calories! I was just happy I got to end my day with a :-) esp after having salad, pasta, and the biryani. Thanks to McD and no thanks to Paradise!

I will first say this. I’m not an expert on Indian food. I’ve been to a bunch of places and don’t really know what all the dishes are supposed to taste like We came in around 12:00 and it was pretty empty, but just as we put our orders in, the people started to pile in. I ordered the Pepper Fry mild, but in the end, I think it was medium. I thought I heard him say medium, but I didn’t bother to change it. I’m Chinese, I can hang with it. My friend go the Curry Chicken. We sat down and just talked as the people started to come in. I didn’t think it took too long to come out. The food tasted fresh, but damn, was it spicy. I hope that was really medium, as it make me sweat through a ton of napkins. Flavor wise, I thought mine was pretty good. The rice was good, as was the bread. The chicken was heavily spiced. Had the traditional Indian flavors. The only thing was, it was a little on the dry side. Everything tasted pretty fresh. It was clean inside, I can’t really say anything about the people working there. You just put your order in, then someone brings you your food. There is a soda machine in the back, so you just fill your own drinks. I will have to come back and try the biryani. Not sure why I didn’t try that first, duh. It’s in the name, it has to be good. Not sure why all the negative reviews. The food didn’t taste bad to me. The food maybe be a little pricy, but not bad.
