This is your standard frozen yogurt joint. They offer self serve frozen yogurt and do it yourself toppings, charging by the ounce. The person behind the counter was polite and let us know we could add complimentary chocolate or carmel syrup to our frozen yogurt. YAY!!!

I’m mesmerized by the pink lemonade swirl I’ve so artfully created. I ask myself, «Do you want to go for the gusto and try every amazing flavor they have to offer?» but I quickly came to my senses. I decided not to tarnish the beautiful mountain of froyo in my cup. I was then greeted by an array of toppings – some I’ve never seen! Throw a little Cap’n Crunch in the mix, a few strawberries – ARE THOSE BROWN CINNAMON POP TARTS PIECES?! Hell yes. I’ll take two scoops of those.
The smiling FrozenYo specialist weighs my artwork and tells me about their new loyalty program. I paid and then went on my merry way.
What a clean establishment. Perfect frozen yogurt and just a few steps away from my office.
Oh, FrozenYo, you’ve made a believer out of me!

I’d like to think that in the sea of ubiquitous self-​yourself fro-​yo places in the DMV area, that FroZenYo brings something a little special and unexpected to the table. By this point, we all know how these stores work. Grab a cup, serve yourself your flavor (s) and topping (s), weigh, pay, enjoy. Here’s what makes FroZenYo stand out to me.
1. It’s not tough to get a sample; the employees are attentive to your sampling needs without being overbearing.
2. The nutrition information is clearly displayed on the wall for those who are so inclined to indulge conscientiously.
3. The store is SPIC-​AND-​SPAN; so much cleaner than other fro-​yo places in the area.
4. There is a huge variety of flavors, from delicious low-​fat and fat-​free live/​active culture yogurts, to actually tasty sugar free yogurts, to about 5 completely dairy-​free flavors for those who cannot do lactose or are avoiding dairy.
5. The machines never seem to be out of order and are always operating at the optimum temperature and flow.
6. The toppings bar is awesome and has a neat and clean array of all of the expected candy bar/​fruit/​crunchies/​nuts/​etc. items, plus sprinkles, marshmallows, and graham crackers.
7. They have a coffee area (Zombie Coffee) if you need a buzz.
8. They offer a mobile yogurt truck and catering options at a very reasonable price per head — hello, corporate events!
9. Although they only have one size of cup, and you can’t help but want to fill it, their per-​ounce price isn’t very high; it’s comparable to other shops.
10. After you pay, there’s complimentary hot fudge and caramel to top your creation for no extra charge — it’s located in the nook next to the cash register.
There’s ample seating indoors and some outdoors, and parking is a breeze in some parts of the shopping center. They accept credit cards and the owner is very friendly!

Self serve, Interesting flavors! Had the crème brûlée and it is supper delish! Amazing customer service. Nice and cozy place. Free hot fudge and hot caramel too just and extra perk. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice employee, very helpful and knowledgeable. Interesting toppings – different from other frozen yogurt places. Frozen yogurt flavors I chose didn’t pop as much for me. I’ll try others next time – a good reason to go back! Parked right in front.

I hate to give FrozenYo only three stars because everyone from the staff to the owner are extremely customer focused. Their restaurant is always spotless and they are some of the nicest people to meet. However, when it comes to their yogurt, not so good. To me, and my kids, it doesn’t have that much flavor and seems to have a quirky aftertaste. However, I would most certainly recommend you give them a try. Who knows, maybe we just have quirky FroYo genes in our family. :)

Fro yo is a simple self serve frozen yogurt store located in Herndon. I have to say I was disappointed when I served myself yogurt to find that it was very liquidy and lacking taste. It was the end of the day so it could be from sitting in the machine all day, but I wouldn’t know. I noticed that there is only one size here which I dont like. With self serve it is hard to not over do it. A smaller cup size would certify that I would not take too much. I hope I just hit the place at a bad time and normally the yogurt is not as liquidy. For now it is three stars.

Hands down the best self serve frozen yogurt place I’ve ever experienced. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the toppings are always fresh, and the yogurt itself is incredible!

This place is always clean and there’s always someone there to help if you have questions about anything. They’ve got a good selection of flavors and toppings. My favorite flavors there, that I get all the time are: cake batter and tart. The last time I was there, I chose oreos, cap’n crunch and nilla wafers as my topping. All were really good and it hit the spot on a hot/​humid day.
If there isn’t a Sweet Frog near me, I’ll head to FroZenYo.

Great location, always clean and the staff is friendly. 29 cent bottles of water too, which is rare for this area.

Craving some froyo on a March evening and my sis tells me about this new place in Herndon. So we try it out! We are greeted by very friendly staff and a very clean environment. We sample many of the flavors (most are completely fat free) before making our final choice. I got the choc chip cookie and my sis got the marshmallow. Everything was great about this place already from the wide selection of flavors and toppings. Then I notice the «sign»…FREE hot fudge. I always add hot fudge on my froyo and most of the establishments actually charge for it so it was a pleasant surprise to see they didn’t.
Most of the froyo places charge you based on weight (with hot fudge). For two of us, it was only $ 6.50. A few bucks cheaper than their competitors… Sweet Frog, Zinga, etc. On top of all the other positives about this place, their froyo was actually really good! My sis said she felt like there was a campfire going on in her mouth. lol.

Love this place for its location, cleanliness and verity in flavors =)
